In 1992, I was placed in the hospital. I stayed quite a while. It was there that I met James. Long story short, the world left and James walked in. It was a very brief moment, but it was important. I left a year later. I didn't forget James. I returned often to see how he was doing and helped him along the way. James left the hospital 6 months ago. He entered a half way house and was happy. He made efforts to get a job, efforts to get his driver's license...efforts to relinquish family ties. Today I received a phone call. James has left this earth and made his way home. Praise God...James is finally home. He made mistakes. I don't know if I've known anyone who struggled more in silence to understand. Love you, friend. Happy first day in heaven.
