Listen me carefully, Old Man, I am not a Sister!
Secondly, I've has several high priestess cast spells upon that ended up back on them [in their own language by the power of 3].
I've cast out Demons by the Name and Power of Yeshua of those who came at me with Witchcraft.
Take Your sorcery and shove it side ways, OLD MAN!
Yes I know you are not a sister - so whilst I cited your comment I was actually speaking to a sister. You told me once before that you were not a sister - forgive me for not explained or making myself clear. But I did try in the same post you are so zealous about = in speaking to the sister who I first cited - as follows:

And lest you imagine that I mistook your meaning you make the connection here in the above comment and agreed to the below comment.

As to the High Priestess comment - I couldn't help but laugh a little - for a moment I had a vision of some hag on the dark moor by the name of Blind Sal.

You are awfully swift in your condemnation of others, brother. Is that really necessary?

Sister when did I call you a sorcerer - which in occult predication speaks to a man and in the woman speaks of a witch? In its Jezebelic and demonic meaning it speaks of both male and female and in its Satanic meaning it speaks of a Satanic Self (Ipsissimus). We should try to get some proper proportions to what we say whether to inflect an emotional charge mistakenly or to call another believer a sorcerer. We should also examine ourselves to see what we said of others that gives life to these offensive claims.

Distraction is a tool of the enemy to keep us from relationship, vital personal relationship with Him through Holy Spirit, anyone or anything that distracts us is to be cast aside.
When I see long winded and obscure posting and supposed credentials of dead churches and organizations it raises a red flag for me.
best wishes

Do you have no concern to your claim of my supposed credentials and dead churches as a mechanism to bear witness in the name of Christ? I wasn't aware I had even made any such claims or to any dead churches. What are these false credentials? And what are these dead churches? You really ought to post them and bear witness properly. You have my permission to post whatsoever you please that bears witness to any claim I have made to credentials that would serve the important need to resist a distraction of anyone to keep them from a relationship with God. Thank you.

Of course the disabled can be filled the Holy Spirit 😎

Just that in the different areas I've been in with work and religious experiences, I haven't seen tongues exercised by the biblical examples.

I was a charismatic myself in youth group and what I was doing was just ecstatic utterances, in a trance...and very similar to what I was experiencing as a New Ager later.

But anyhoo... I'm not going to say anything you yourself does is demonic or blasphemy. I dont know your faith.

I just dont see how what is called tongues now matches the bible.
if you were in a trance as you say you were not charismatic.

That word does raise a question, I hope it is a mislabeling of a genuine Holy Spirit encounter.

Looking at scripture the 'private prayer language' of the gift of tongues isn't there either.

When Paul was talking about this he was speaking in hypotheticals and hyperbole. Not as in the way it's meant to be done. Acts 2 is the clearest example.. Corinthians church had it mixed up with paganism
no he was not

however, he was obviously not speaking to you

went right over your head it did

I believe this thread was started because there already was a tongues thread turned hostile
well, there's always going to be a few that want to "kill, steal, and destroy" no matter what the topic, where it's started or how.

But you are talking about a mental ward of people being insane and trying apply that experience to a Church Body. You are equaling insanity to a Gift of the Holy Spirit! You are committing Blaspheming against the Holy Spirit by equaling a Gift of the Holy Spirit to Insanity! I want nothing you have to offer!

Okay, the comparison with intellectual disability and mental illness is in the trance like, ecstatic utterances type of tongues that is unintelligible and nothing to do with a language. Anyway.. no harm intended. Peace

You did have me quoted and your words I responded to were after what you quoted me. Normally, that would mean I am being addressed.

As far as this question of your, You are awfully swift in your condemnation of others, brother. Is that really necessary? Whether someone is addressing me or not, when I read, What do you know of sorcery sister? that appears underneath my quote, I do not answer in kindness to something used by Satan for his glory.

But in all seriousness, one High Priestess went to someone involved in Voodoo, and together they conjured up a Spell that involved broken bones, bone dust, and some ancient writing. They sealed it up into an envelop and mailed it to me. When I checked the mail and touched this letter and took it out of the box, the ingredients moved and it made me pause. I lifted the envelop up facing the Sun and could see the outline of ingredients. My spirit, via the Holy Spirit, immediately alerted me. I was living in Mesa, Arizona at the time and the weather there is hot desert in the summer around 115 degrees Fahrenheit. The Holy Spirit instructed me to build a fire in the fireplace and without opening this letter cast it into the fire. When I cast it into the fire, we all audibly heard 2 voices screaming like they were being tormented.

So joking or not, when it comes to sorcery, I am in complete Spiritual Warfare Mode!

But You just prove yourself to be full of ignorance! I've never been in a trance when I prayed/worshiped/Spoken/Interpretation of Tongues.

You are literally making this baloney up, and I will CALL YOU OUT on it every time!

What I find most interesting about all of this is the inability of anyone to articulate clearly the difference between true and false tongues. Many have made the claim so there must be a yardstick you use to tell the difference. So far it comes down to "I can't give you an exact definition of what false tongues are or look like, but I know 'em when I see 'em." This hurts your position a lot more than it helps.

It's hard not to conclude that tongue-speakers are looking for a mystical experience; whether you call it a trance or whatever. I know you'll object to this vociferously but to me it seems obvious. It's a seducing spirit that says the mundane isn't enough, we must have something more than simple faith.

Why don't you answer in a manner that equates to a spiritual truth and not in a manner that tells another believer that they are a sorcerer because they ask a sister what she knows of sorcery. It was that sister @#585 who raised the spectre of sorcery in this thread and so I asked that sister.

I wasn't joking about anything. I was very serious about asking you why you believe that it is acceptable to call any man a sorcerer when you had no proper reason to do so. So now you tell me it is because you received some familiar objects and fount them to be a familiar curse. Big deal. Keep the fire stoked brother - just don't seek to burn a brother in Christ because you have experienced an event that numbers of others have experienced for the same reason you did. Try binding the spirits and they won't find you.

Tongues have been called "ecstatic utterances" and are not limited to Christians.
"Ecstatic language was a common form of worship in pagan temples. It was well established in Ancient Byblos (1100 BC). Plato (429-347 BC) mentions it as a phenomenon in his time. He tells us that a person under divine possession received utterances and visions that the receiver did not understand. These utterances were sometimes accompanied by physical healing of people present. Virgil (70-19 BC) tells us that the Sibylline priestess, when in prayer, united her spirit with the god Apollo and spoke in strange tongues."

well you do have me on ignore I believe, but for anyone else reading your usual enhanced observations I offer the following:

the difference would be to the hearer who does profess a genuine gift and is experienced in the use of it. and God is not a casual observer but He is more than able to tell one from the other and further, look on the heart of each person

and again, it would be in the hearing and not in the seeing.

in all likelihood, you would not be able to distinguish the false from the true as is, in this case, observed from your posts

you do not have a position. you simply have an inability to grasp truth whether presented from scripture or someone relating an experience that is true...which ironically enough, is what is presented in scripture

are they? are tongues speakers looking for a mystical experience? I know I have never looked for any sort of 'experience', which is not to say I have never had any

I would offer that you unnecessarily go from one thread to the next, to object to what your personal bias has excluded you from experiencing

do you have simple faith? how simple is the faith that goes from thread to thread raising ignorant objections and posting videos that must have taken a little time to obtain. and, doing this over and over and over and over and...well you get the picture

you desire to offend as you do it consistently and with no apology. I don't think you know what a seducing spirit is, but I wonder if you would turn it away should it appear before you, encouraging you to engage in dismissive and mocking posts as though God had somehow called you to offend others without a thought other than to your own mistaken ability to put forward truth deeper than that found in scripture itself.

of course people object to your profane comments against certain gifts of the Spirit, as you know they will having repeatedly encouraged them to do so in myriad threads and especially in those you have yourself authored

anyone can do what you are doing and we all do well with at least one hobby. sadly, yours harms yourself as much as anyone else
