Julianna, I have no idea how I am still single. I have a whole team of sociologists working around the clock to to try to find the answer, but the cause eludes them. I am a complete mystery!!!
Maybe he just had to find out what his schedule is going to be like before he could try and spend time with you. wouldn't it be better for him to take a few days and sort himself out than schedule some time with you only to have to cancel at the last minute due to work or some other commitment that came up at the last minute?
I know with my job I have no idea how long my day is going to be or even if I have a weekend free until the last second. This of course means I have no life.
Just my opinion of course.
