In Psalm 130:3 (NLT), the psalmist asks an interesting question: LORD, if you kept a record of our sins, who, O Lord, could ever survive?
Let's face it! We have all sinned and come short of God's glory (Romans 3:23). None of us would survive if God kept a complete record of our sins.
Then, the psalmist states in Psalm 130:4, "But, you offer forgiveness, that we might learn to fear you."
This is why He gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to pay our sin debt in full. He loved us that much that He would make a way for us to be forgiven of all of our sins.
When we accepted Jesus Christ by faith, God forgave us of every single sin in our lives. Past, present, and even future sins are now covered by His Son's blood and we are sealed unto the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30).
Thank God for Jesus Christ. He indeed is our Way to life everlasting and forgiveness of sins.
