A few drs in the UK and even hospitals now have touch screen devices for patients to show they have arrived instead of using a receptionist. I'm not aware if these are cleaned or not, but potentially they could very easily spread disease. It seems comments are ignored... A few hundred people may touch these screens per day. Makes one think doesn't it!

anything that anyone 'touches', especially related to 'money-medical-doors, take-out',
'BEWARE', these are some things that are the worst 'carriers of multiple-diseases'
in the world...

Lots of people die in hospitals. One of my aunts was perfectly healthy and went to s a hospital for physio where she contracted C Difficile, which they failed to properly diagnose in time, and it became the cause of her death.

In 1999, the Institute of Medicine published the famous "To Err Is Human" report, which dropped a bombshell on the medical community by reporting that up to 98,000 people a year die because of mistakes in hospitals. The number was initially disputed, but is now widely accepted by doctors and hospital officials — and quoted ubiquitously in the media.

In 2010, the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services said that bad hospital care contributed to the deaths of 180,000 patients in Medicare alone in a given year.

Now comes a
study in the current issue of the Journal of Patient Safety that says the numbers may be much higher — between 210,000 and 440,000 patients each year who go to the hospital for care suffer some type of preventable harm that contributes to their death.

That would make medical errors the
third-leading cause of death in America, behind heart disease, which is the first, and cancer, which is second.

Incredibly sad, but true. They can misdiagnose, they can give overdoses of medicine, the wrong medicine, they err all the time and it costs people lives. The best thing people can do is to take care of their own health in the most natural, wholesome lifestyle possible, prevention is THE best medicine.

This is so true! Ultimately we are responsible for our own selves.
Unfortunately many people die from taking medications as prescribed also.

100,000 Americans Die Each Year from Prescription
Drugs, While Pharma Companies Get Rich

Melody Petersen, author of Our Daily Meds, took an in-depth look at the pharmaceutical companies that have taken the reins of our faltering health care system by cleverly hawking every kind of drug imaginable. The book includes some staggering stats. For example, 100,000 Americans die each year from prescription drugs — that’s 270 per day, more than twice as many who are killed in car accidents each day. Are these people abusing their prescription drugs or is this a sign of prescription meds gone bad?

The study estimating that 100,000 Americans die each year from their prescriptions looked only at deaths from known side effects. That is, those deaths didn’t happen because the doctor made a mistake and prescribed the wrong drug, or the pharmacist made a mistake in filling the prescription, or the patient accidentally took too much. Unfortunately, thousands of patients die from such mistakes too, but this study looked only at deaths where our present medical system wouldn’t fault anyone. Tens of thousands of people are dying every year from drugs they took just as the doctor directed. This shows you how dangerous medications are.

The market for ADHD drugs for children has long been a big opportunity for the industry. More recently, the companies have had their sales reps urge doctors to prescribe antidepressants, antipsychotics and other psychiatric meds to children. The result: our kids take more of those medicines than children in other countries. For example, a study last year found that American children take three times more attention deficit medications and antidepressants than children in Europe.

The truth is that doctors are no longer independent gatekeepers who keep us safe from drugs we don’t need. Far too many of them are financially tied to the industry. They are writing the prescriptions that their financial backers want them to write.

There is a greater possible of threat in the untested affects to humans, yet aggressive plan to deploy 5g. Get ready to become a walking antenna. Worth a serious look into.

i'll never forget, several years ago while taking care of someone in hospital, I started to notice
the little things at first, that just didn't seem appropriate and then when I got to know some
of the staff a little better and watching them; I asked the woman who was going from room to
room doing the supposed 'cleaning and dis-infecting' about her tools and water container that
she was dipping the mop in after cleaning most of the places in the room, mops & rags, and
she told me that she used the same tools and water for each floor that she was cleaning,
usually without changing anything!...HELLO!!! - if you have a 'loved-one' in the hospital,
YOU NEED to be on the LOOK-OUT' for their survival...

Deploy 5 grams of what?

Money over matter.... If it saves the company money, then complaints about it don't matter (to the company)... unless it might result in a lawsuit or something.

I know it sounds a bit OCD, but when I use buses, especially in winter
when everyone is coughing and spluttering. I go wash my hands when I get
to where I'm going.

Im certain it's prevented a lot of colds. I hardly get any. I also don't want to
catch colds and take them home to my elderly aunt, who has COPD and needs
oxygen. I also pray and ask God to protect me from all the viruses.
It works! Last year everyone in my team at work, was off at least a few days
with awful colds. Then when they came back they were coughing and spluttering
for weeks on end. Whatever it was, it never touched me. Lol

I'm forever reminding the careers who come in, not to come to work if they
are not well. Some have turned up previously with flu, severe colds, winter
vomiting sickness bug. It's unbelievable that they go to work like this when they
are going from house to house dealing with elderly vulnerable people.
Unfortunately they are on zero hours contracts, if they don't work they don't get
paid. But a bad cold for them can be two weeks in hospital for my aunt.

Having said that one one of my brothers came to visit last year while he
has bronchitis! I told him off.

Some people are just thoughtless.

As for those touch screens I suppose you could carry hand gel if it bothers you. :)
