I get uneasy when Christians talk about owning Guns for personal Protection. Surviving a Gunfight is Traumatic in itself even if you dont get shot, which you probably will. Good chance you will get sued and arrested $$$$$$$. Now ask yourself if you can live with taking a Human life. Lots of Christians knew I was into this lifestyle and would ask about owning Guns for protection. Not many could get past living with taking a Human life. I have many Friends in LE and Fed Alphabet Agencies. I was a Fed and worked with "Spooks" more than once. I was also a "Contractor" and a USMC Vet. I count it all Dung. Too much Stress. Please Remain Innocent and Harmless, nothing wrong with Dying Clean.
First, sorry about such a lengthy response to your other post. The forum was malfunctioning at the time, not allowing for corrections after posting, so it doubled.
I can speak from multiple experiences of being on the receiving end of criminals attempting murder of this innocent bystander.
The Lord protected me each and every time.
It is a shame that criminal elements in civil cases as well as within the justice system bring hellacious charges with immunity against the victims of crimes so often. May God Himself bring comfort and protection to the victims and His swift judgement upon the offenders. Luke 17:2
I appreciate your perspective on that from someone who I trust has served honorably and seen a few wolves.
Your advice is well taken because the aftermath can be more traumatic than the event.
If I can add, the Lord trained His men in spiritual warfare. He taught them how to cast devil spirits out of their victims. He sent them off a cliff to spend their existence in rotting corpses of swine in the water.
He also spoke of His upcoming crucifixion where He would suffer the torturous violence for all of humanity through the ages.
Before He did, you'll surely recall what He told His men in Luke 22:35....
He commanded them to carry a Roman battlefield sword that was standard issue. This was no contradiction for "turning the other cheek."
He had a bigger calling on their lives than Rome could ever offer. It wasn't to go up against the emperor's enemies. Their sword was for defense of selves and loved ones. He was not bringing peace as the King ruling from the New Jerusalem descended upon the Earth yet. That's the second advent. He knew that there would still be violence and the disciples would likely require swords for personal protection.
I think of the dogs that attacked me in brief windows when Satan's soldiers doubtless sent them. How I was reminded of the need for a weapon of some kind at those times. Perhaps the weapon is not the issue as much as having the proper training and availability when physical threats occur. Those dogs were demonic physical weapons used against me when I was walking. I could have been killed, yet the Lord showed mercy each time.
I trained roties for millionaires to guard their mansions. They were capable of crushing large bones. My
Belgium Malinois mix killed a huge coyote mix over twice his size. He was the easiest dog I've ever trained. I was attacked by fierce dogs on two occasions and he neutralized the threats. To me, Slasher the BM was every bit as effective and some ways more than a sword or firearm. He was a gift from God as are the other weapons He has provided out of compassion for us. That said, we certainly need to exercise cautious wisdom when confronted with the gravest extreme.
