Alright, since it seems to keep coming up from a few people - a lot of us really want someone with a good sense of humor. Or at least more humor than a tree stump.

So - what's something you said to a humorless bf/gf before and what was their response?

For example:
MusicalMe: What has four legs, is green and fuzzy, and could kill you if it fell out of a tree?
Boyfriend #2: What?
MusicalMe: A pool table.
Boyfriend #2: *thinking very hard about it* ....how would a pool table get in a tree?
MusicalMe: *staring at him to see if he's joking*
Boyfriend #2: *SO isn't joking*
MusicalMe: ....nevermind

hahaha....I can't think of an example at the moment, but have experienced that blank look and 'crickets chirping' in the background (heh :p)......a sure fire indication he ain't gettin' it :p

Oh, and the title... tree stumps refers to Golfaholic's ex, and squash refers to this:

In addition to having no sense of humor, there's also the problem of having an incompatible sense of humor. My ex and I were discussing the vegetable squash once and I said it's good if it's fixed certain ways. He went off for about 15 minutes about how once they served squash in his school's cafeteria and it tasted like it had been grown on Venus in blue dirt. It might have been amusing for 2 minutes, but 15 (saying the same thing over and over and over and over and over...), not so much...

Well, I have nothing to share here. But your conversation above made me crack up, Musical! :)
