My phone doesnt charge when i plug in the charger. I googled it and it said to take the battery out, wait ten seconds and put the battery back in. This resolved the issue but i have to do this every time i charge my phone. I have multiple chargers so im thinking it must be an issue with my battery

Yea sounds like your battery cell's in the (Li-ion) battery are probably dead or something...I know it sounds weird but there is a trick to extend Li-ion battery life by putting it in a zip lock bag in the freezer for I think 30 min or 1hr. IDK if it works but some people say it works on the internet...may want to try that or unplug your battery for longer and hit the power key on your phone to discharge any "loose current" that maybe messing up your battery. I did this for my tablet which is 4 yrs old and thought it was a battery problem, but I disconnected it for 1hr then hit the power key w/o battery to remove the "loose charge that was built up in the device / static" My battery has been working and charging again flawlessly after that little disconnection for an hour...Hope it works for you! :)

Edit:
Store Batteries in the Freezer to Retain Charge Longer

This article talks of Nickel batteries but may work for Li-ion...but first I would try disconnecting it for 1 hr and pushing the power button to release static charge....
