True Love with a woman, does God reveal?

Does anyone here believe that God would reveal to your soul that a person you meet is the true love of your life and is someone you should marry? I would like to hope that love is more than just chemical reactions and hormones and such.

I know the difference between love and lust but I posted this question to plentyofish and got some really secular answers:

I thought at one time in my life i experienced true love. I was 10 years old and in love with a girl named Erin. We lost touch and she married another and after that happened I did not think I could find love like that again. The feelings I had for her were not lust but a deep connection. But some people tell me that what I had was puppy love and not true love. So now I have had relationships with women that I liked and loved but never quite the same. Am I doomed to never find this feeling again?

I have been chatting with a girl named Mary and so far she seems great and we are going to meet. I just hope that when I do meet her that true love will show up. Because as it stands now I am infatuated with her and she is really nice and seems like my match. But I have felt that way before in some ways, so how will I know if its true love?

Does anyone believe that God would reveal that to me and that I need to be looking to him to find the answer? What are your thoughts about true love? Please share.


 
My opinion is that you will never find the same feeling twice, to me love is not a thing that comes and goes and can be known by it's affects.
I believe that it is different each time, it finds a unique balance between the 2 people involved and so I would say part of your problem is that you are comparing new feelings to the ones you remember.

You need to let go of them and stop comparing new feelings to old ones, instead give it all away and let this new relationship become something unique with no connection to your past, if you wait for an old love to return you will never find it, it was unique, it came and went and you won't find it in the heart of another.

If this new woman seems like a perfect match for you keep focus on her and how she makes you feel, don't take the feelings she stirs in you and compare them to what you had in the past, big mistake.
 
I definitely believe God will reveal, in one way or another, if you ask Him. I actually think this is the right way to go about this. God bless!
 
I agree that it is incredibly unfair to compare a current relationship to an old one, particularly in its infancy.

Meet the girl and get to know her. Spend time with her and continue to pray. I do believe that if you ask with a sincere heart, God will answer. He wants only the best for you and surely honors our requests for His blessing on a relationship.

Difference between lust and "crushes" and deeper love.
Said to soulmate would rather be Asexual, as in having no sexlife and be with them in soul, spirit, body unionised than to be without them and having sexlife.
Met someone had the "chemistry" with is different.
Also lust can be used by some in such destruktive ways and for power etc which is not love.Better love first..
But that someone you go deep with ,makes you happy, complete that you love beyond beleif through all maybe you have no chemistry and no sexlife but everything else and maybe God will bring the sexual love life when ready.
