Shincheonji, Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony (SCJ), commonly known as Shincheonji (Korean: 신천지, Hanja 新天地, "new heaven and earth") is a religious organization, accused of being a cult established on March 14, 1984 in South Korea by Lee Man-hee.

Shincheonji, sometimes spelled “Shinchonji” or abbreviated as SCJ, is a pseudo-Christian religion primarily practiced in South Korea. The religion’s official name is “Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony.” It was created by Lee Man-Hee in the 1980s and currently claims just under 200,000 adherents. The word Shincheonji itself is a combination of the Korean terms for “new,” “heaven,” and “earth.” The group has been criticized for shallow, academically weak teachings, taking an extremely figurative view of biblical texts, a cult-like atmosphere, and its members’ involvement in various social, civil, and legal troubles.

the following:

The word cult is controversial and can be difficult to define. By the most common use of the term, however, it would be fair to consider Shincheonji a very large, very successful cult. The group is headed by a single, charismatic leader, Lee Man-Hee, who claims to have a special ability to interpret the Bible. When challenged about his authority, Lee can be evasive, but he frequently implies that he is immortal and that salvation requires faith in him, rather than in Jesus Christ. In fact, Lee’s Shincheonji church teaches that the Bible is primarily composed of metaphors, and he alone has the spiritual gift for correctly interpreting them.

(from the got questions article)

true or false?

he is your pastor?

you are being very evasive...never a good sign

since it appears the above is what you ahere to, it seems you believe another gospel and not the gospel of Jesus Christ

feel free to disagree

if you cannot discuss without subterfuge it's not going to go forward

The information is false.

The post is about True Religion and False Religion, what are your thoughts about the OP (I believe my 3rd or 4th time asking).

it's always so heartbreaking to see people keep on and on in negative posts and just lay in wait
to find something to keep arguing about with others, and when they finally get tired of one subject,
they just have an argumentative spirit to go on to yet another subject for some deep dark secret that they
probably don't even recognize or even ask themselves why they are doing such an unholy thing...

where are the conversations of Love and Unity? they are and could be endless and oh so edifying
to each and every one who truly Love their Lord and Blessed Saviour,,,but instead it seems that
contention and self-knowledge are their driving force: is there any question 'who' is leading those
who claim to be Christians that seem to have a desire to go into that dark and un-profitable realm of
contention and a spirit to prove themselves right in their argumentative conversations?

where is their God given Peace to be heard and learned from? why do they not have a desire to
share Jesus' Love, grace, and harmony?

in this site, there are many Loving and Kind teachers that only desire to share the Love of Jesus
that He has taught them, but oh so many times when we come upon lovely Posts/Threads that
people put in in order to share the Love and Hope and heartfelt gifts that Jesus has shared and
taught them about, most often, the threads simply end and disappear.
it doesn't take a rocket-scientist to figure out why, and this is a source of great sadness to so
many of us here...

so heart-breaking to say the least, and yet so obvious that most of all they only want to try and
prove to others that they are right, without the ability of learning from those who have grown in
the Love of their Holy Saviour and suffered and been taught by the Holy Spirit how to live and
Love their Saviour and others in the only way that He has offered and taught to them through
The Holy Spirit...

Almost miss the US election as an alternative. Whoa that's pretty terrible.

I agree 100%. Just trying to spread love and peace, but it seems there is always someone who seems to have some hidden agenda.

Nice to know you are more concerned growing your spirit and relationship with God. ^^

There is no such thing as "True Religion" - there is only truth and untruth.

If there exists a "pure and undefiled" religion, I would love to know it's name as there are many who claim and identify as Christian.

I think this is one of the first mistakes a person makes when seeking understanding from scripture- trying to link it to any literal religion. And that is what seems to be the attempt by this particular pastor.

The more a religious representative uses the words (true and/or false) the more you need to be wary. Think of the word true as a "descriptive testimony free of error, bias, suggestion, obscurantism and deceit" - all of which exist to varying degrees in religions.

Which religion would make and think they fit the claims above? A better question would be Which of them wouldn't?
