Sorry. I was somewhat in distress at hearing that Trump suffered yet another assassination attempt.
It must have affected my otherwise sterling conduct.

People dying every day is normal. People being assassinated every day isn't. On the bright side, Trump has survived more assassination attempts than interviews Harris has given.

I will have to say here that I was not born here. Canada we respect our flag but I'm not sure we have as many rules about it as Americans do. Canucks, let me know. So I'm going to ask a question here instead. I have a really nice hand stitched American flag. Say I'm going to a rally or somewhere where a current or past president is at and I have my flag. I get close enough for a president to sign it, that is what you would consider desecrating the flag? I went to a minor rally and the flag was spread out on the ground, and I had thought that was considered a no, no.
Alright, but now we do know about the assassination. And this is a serious issue. I think Mark Levin, one of the few I trust on any news program, was pretty white hot angry last night. The flag isn't going to change anyone's mind on how they vote. So I don't see how arguing about it benefits anything. This assassination attempt affects every single person in this country.
Yeah, again, not American born. But if someone tells me signing the flag is the same as burning it, walking on it or other disrespect, I don't think so. The intent of both is entirely different. I wouldn't care which side did it. If I saw Harris sign a flag I would assume someone asked her to sign a flag they had. Now if I saw Harris burn or walk on a flag, then I'd have something to say. But signing it? IDK
The lives of all heads of state are important. That's why they have people that follow them around with guns. I don't recall a team around me the last time I bought my grapes at Walmart.
Trump has suffered more dehumanizing brutality in terms of political attacks (all of it preconceived, conspiratorial, intentional, illegal, fraudulent, monstrous, life threatening) than any political figure IN ALL OF AMERICAN HISTORY!
Nothing and nobody else compares. Not even remotely close.
THAT is how far America has fallen.
THAT is how high the stakes are.
That flag was retired and will be on display. They were honored to have one of the greatest presidents sign it.
