If the interest rates continue to decline...
And exports increase, and manufacturing increases as well....
Then things will be OK.

Job changes will be coming. Robotics maintenance will be crucial for the upcoming decade. (For career opportunities)

So....if we can survive, the changes will be a definite positive. Exports increasing and imports drying up. Plus a reduction in in taxes for the middle class.

Apparently gold and silver are exempt from the tariffs and since people were buying gold and silver anticipating tariffs manufacturers are now selling the silver they stocked up on.

Trump has 9 trillion in debt which is going to roll over this year and which must be refinanced as well as probably borrowing another 2 trillion. In order to pull this off he needs to lower interest rates. What he has done is calculate tariffs based on our trade imbalance. If countries buy US debt it will cause the trade imbalance to go down and therefore reduce their tariff. This is why there has been a rush to buy US treasuries and the interest rates have gone down on the treasuries.

Now think about this, he has wiped off $5 trillion from the world's stock markets and caused tremendous upheaval so that the US can pay their debts for one more year.

This would be like the neighbors doing work on their house that winds up costing you and all their neighbors tens of thousands of dollars each in damage to their own homes.

I don't "blame" Trump, he doesn't want the US to go bankrupt, that is understandable, however, the rest of the world is not going to put up with this kind of disruption.

Problem with Trump is that he has no patience. Solving problems takes time.

Well the problem is that thieves and robbers have taken all the countries money. It is well known that once debt hits 130% of GDP no country recovers and right now it is at 125%, so there is no time left to be patient.

According to the Canadian Prepper the total stock market loss over the last two days in all the world's markets comes to 10 trillion dollars. To put that into perspective one week after 911 the total losses in the stock markets was 1.5 trillion. Also, that was after a week, this is only two days. Also, China's response of equally high tariffs has not been calculated in yet. So this is very big, we aren't just talking about the US, we are talking about the world. I would point out that there are still things that could make this go worse like a war with Iran, China seizing Taiwan, nukes going off, etc.

That's a good point. He's also not at all well in the head in my opinion. He's seems to suffer from paranoid delusions.
Is this your professional opinion? Have you diagnosed many people with paranoid delusions? How about people with delusions of being a board certified psychiatrist? Ever run across that psychosis?

Just so the rest of us can rest assured that you are not one of those people deluded into thinking they are a certified psychiatrist, can you share your credentials with us, just so we know that you aren't one of those who are not well in the head.

He has a lot of good insight, especially around Geo-politics.

I don't blame him either. I just hope he and the people around him are thinking this through. If this doesn't work, there will be a hard swing to the left next election and we may not recover from that one.

I point my finger at both sides. The stuff Trump is trying to do all at once should have been done gradually years ago. We should have been looking out for our best interests years ago. But both sides of the political spectrum have being looking out for number one while doing number two on the rest of us. Do I wish we had better choices to choose from?, yes I do! But this is what we have and unfortunately, I don't see our choices getting any better!

I sincerely hope this works and it makes things better for us. I hope we get back to what we used to do well. We are forgetting how to build and engineer things. We have shipped our "know how" to China and other countries. We have learned how to be servants to emotions and whims. We have forgotten who we were.

Just my .02

You probably say that about all Canadians
It is a mixed bag here, like everywhere, but his last show which I watched this morning was very insightful and really it made a lot of sense.

I think we can use these words and not mean them in a clinical sense, but rather in sort of the street label people put on each other.
I would say there is delusion about his grandiosity.

I'm a Republican and I don't understand anything that Trump has done so far.

Starting to regret voting for him big-time.

I'm a vet and cannot understand why he is getting rid of 1000's a VA workers. I'm very disappointed right now.

For starters, he needs to show that guy Musk to the door. Guy has no legal authority to do anything and yet he is firing all kinds of people. Doesn't even know what these people actually do but fires away anyway.

He is making Trump look bad, of course, Trump usually makes himself look bad too.

So you think we'd be in a better boat with Kammy/ Tim? Did people honestly think Trump could turn this ship around in 2 months? Who do you think would have been better to vote for? Why does Musk have to leave? No, he's not making Trump look bad, Dems are if you listen to them. I don't get Americans sometimes. Musk is showing millions of TAX dollars that the Dems have just smoked away. Just incredible abuses and y'all look at Musk and say "get that guy" !!! I think these blasted Dems should be tarred and feathered for raping the tax paying people of this country. But you all are focused on Musk. Unreal. I hope you're just having a bad day and come round to common sense again.

I think a lot of people honestly thought Trump could sink this ship in three months.
