My candle, my soul,
My fire, my heart,
Created to be ablaze,
Created to burn bright,
Is a smouldering whisper,
A fading ember.
Slowly does my passion fade,
My awe of You steadily replaced,
My flesh, my life, Satan’s domain,
Seeking after personal gain.
I hear Your Voice and my heart bursts,
In a display of life, it sings a hymn.
Oh rekindle my fire Lord!
Recreate the desire within me!
Yet I'm scared,
Of losing my friends,
Of losing my life,
Of losing who I am.
But I will fast away my burdens,
I will draw closer to You,
I will revel in Your presence,
And in the midst of my fear,
I will trust in You.
My fire, my heart,
Created to be ablaze,
Created to burn bright,
Is a smouldering whisper,
A fading ember.
Slowly does my passion fade,
My awe of You steadily replaced,
My flesh, my life, Satan’s domain,
