Trying to help a friend!!

So I'm a junior in high school and my best friend is a senior. Our school prom is coming up and she has never had a boyfriend or date of any sort (which is outrageous because she is amazing!) haha anyway, there is this guy she likes and that I am good friends with, but she won't ask him because she never sees him (he's a freshman in college). Plus a friend of ours started talking and flirting with him even when she knew that Mary (the girl who wants to ask him) liked him. So she feels weird asking him with all that going on.
I guess what I am seeking help for is that I don't know if I should talk to the guy and straighten things out. I do not want to get in the middle or interfere by any means, but I just feel like someone needs to do something to help her out. There is no other guy she wants to ask to go, and I would absolutely HATE for her to go alone. I know for a fact this guy would go with her if she just asked, but she is to scared. I don't know what to do to help besides talk to him, but again, I don't want to be the one asking him to prom for her.
(sorry if all that was confusing, I couldn't find a better way to word it haha)
Any advice would be helpful:) thanks!
 
If you know for a fact that he would, go for it. Tell him that he should ask her out. But I would be careful on this, because if he says no, it is just as crushing if not more crushing then that guy going with the other girl to prom.

Above all pray about it. God is in charge of even the smallest details in our lives. Not a single thing happens or will happen w/out His knowledge :D

hey i'm scotty, i would like to help!. i can tell you this: only God can fully find your friend the right person. pray for it!!!
first start with ,"hey would you date my friend?" if he says yes then mabey thats a start. where mabey God wants your friend to date or go to the promwith him. i hop this helps. let me know and plz friend me!!!
