interesting, never saved at all?
So salvation cannot be lost?
Not from God's view, yet from man's view it is messed up, still
There are those that are not God's and might claim to be of God for self gain here on earth, using God's name for the self gain. God allows this for now, seeing Son's name preached. Paul saw this too, while in jail, those that were sincere and those that were not sincere, he praised both ways of people, for the name was still preached and God Father draws people in Spirit and Truth to him to hear and know truth over error and then say to God personally, I believe and God seals these unto him to teach new in truth of love and mercy to all, not a few all.
Such as Jesus spoke of, those that sit in Moses's seat to be careful for the gain one gets from it is not the only reward one, anyone gets, there is a Heavenly reward, God leads you to willingly help, not as people that do that to get things from it.
With people it is impossible to enter the Kingdom of God.
Matthew 19 covers that, read the whole Chapter, which I bet you are familiar with.
As Jesus told his disciples, with man (people) it is impossible to get saved
With God (Jesus's Father) all things are possible.
That was one Saying from Jesus that he was going to a cross and die for us to reconcile us all first, then save us in his risen life, for us to believe it or not afterwords, that it is done as he said it is in (John 19:30) It is finished, what is finished, under Law? to new Law (Hebrews 7:11-12) God saves, we, the people mess up and have messed it up big time, even as the same was done in the first (Old) Testament too
All flesh is dead to God. God desires to save our Souls, so who will believe and see and be dead to first born flesh by the circumcision of' God on that cross for us all (Romans 6:1-12)

Thanks for the post. I would think the 7 things you have there would be the right response to having eternal life, than the means of getting or keeping eternal life. "Eternal salvation vs daily service"
You are right, there is a profound distinction between eternal salvation and daily service, and the two are inseparably linked.
I should have titled that 7 point list " How to be saved and stay saved." :)

( but, we were talking about a mandatory part of Salvation, = repentance and maintaining a repentant heart, "a changed heart" unto Christ's Righteousness, unto salvation.)

How to be saved and stay saved;
  • Surrender daily to Christ
  • Allow the Holy Spirit to guide
  • Examine yourself regularly
  • Confess and forsake sin promptly
  • Focus on Christ, not feelings or self
  • Stay in prayer and the Word
  • Behold God’s love and holiness
  1. Eternal Salvation Is a Gift Through Christ: Eternal salvation is obtained solely through faith in Jesus Christ. It is not earned by human works, but it is secured by receiving Christ’s righteousness. This warns against the idea that salvation is obtained by our own merits, affirming that it is only by the grace of God that we are saved.
    • Ephesians 2:8-9“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
  2. Daily Service Is the Evidence of Living Faith: While salvation is by grace, daily service is a fruit of that saving relationship. True faith will always be revealed in a life of obedience, service, and love. Believers are to present their bodies as “a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service” (Romans 12:1).
  • James 2:17“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.”
  • James 2:26“Faith without works is dead.”
  1. Sanctification—A Daily Work: Sanctification (the process of being made holy) as a daily work. While justification (being declared righteous) is a moment of grace, sanctification unfolds over time. Each day, the believer is to choose Christ and walk in obedience. The work of sanctification is the work of a lifetime.
  • Philippians 2:12-13“Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.”
  1. Practical Holiness as Part of Service: Daily service includes every aspect of life—how one eats, works, treats others, and responds to God’s guidance. Even simple, mundane duties become holy when done in the spirit of Christ. Religion must be made practical. Its principles must pervade our daily life.
  • Romans 12:1“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
  1. Faithfulness in Service Is Preparation for Heaven: Daily service is not only a reflection of our relationship with Christ but a preparation for eternal life. Heaven is to begin on this earth, ... our lives here should already reflect the selfless spirit of heaven.
  • Luke 16:10“He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much.”
  • Matthew 25:21“Well done, thou good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
Blessed Sabbath Y'all " May the Force be with you " :)

John 15:1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.
The words “he takes away” are translated from the Greek word airō which means to raise up, elevate.

The branch [believer] that is in Christ but is not bearing fruit, is lifted up and supported so that he/she may bring forth fruit.

The believer who bears fruit is cleansed of filth and impurity so that he/she may bring forth fruit.

Father [the Vinedresser] and the Lord Jesus Christ [the Vine] provide all that is needed in order that each and every believer [the branch] brings forth fruit.

Those who are weak and have no fruit are lifted up and supported so that the sap from the Vine flows more freely and provides that which is needed for bearing fruit.

Those who bear fruit are purged (cleansed) ... impurities are removed in order to bring forth more fruit.

John 15:2 is not the same as John 15:6.

John 15:2 speaks of the one who is in Christ. Only believers are in Christ. Unbelievers are not in Christ.

John 15:6 If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

John 15:6 speaks of unbelievers ... those who are not in Christ. Unbelievers are the ones who will be cast into the fire ... burned. A person has this life only to repent and if, at the end of a person's life, he or she has not repented, he or she will find him/herself cast into the lake of fire.

I agree with you on most of this, except that John 15:6 could refer to believers incurring God's wrath (not loss of salvation) also..... since we see in Corinthians:

1Co_3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

1Co_3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

In Philippians 2, Paul writes, "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but so much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." This verse does not mean that salvation is earned through our efforts but rather that we should live out our salvation with diligence and reverence. Our salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ. The phrase "work out your own salvation" encourages believers to live in a way that reflects their faith and the salvation they have received.

John 15:1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit. 3You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit of itself but must remain in the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me. 5I am the vine, you are the branches; the one who remains in Me, and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not remain in Me, he is thrown away like a branch and dries up; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. 7If you remain in Me, and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. 9Just as the Father has loved Me, I also have loved you; remain in My love. 10If you keep My commandments, you will remain in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and remain in His love. 11These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.
You know, there are those that do not remain in God Father and Son as Won for them, no matter what goes on in their lives here on earth. Job and Jesus did, wow, thank you Lord, teach me new too, thank you.
Ex: King Nebuchadnezzar. Wanted God for the glory and the people to be under him, him in charge, not God all in all
I see, he was never of God, even though said believed God and I bet did believe, just for the wrong reasons. I see God when God says, go away, you were never mine (to begin with) you, us, many who were working iniquity, over not glorying in iniquity, the need for Father and Son as Won for you to lead you in through this world full of troubles first, Will you? I and all reading this here now presently, I trust in God for that to be, the choice freely made from all, in whether or not one will stand in belief or not, So, the end will finally happen and the new Earth and Heaven begin, Amen!!!
Excuse me Brother, Read Dan 4:34-37 , Dan 4:37 “ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all of whose works are truth, and His ways justice. And those who walk in pride He is able to put down. ”He was repentant of his pride and was “restored”.
  • Nebuchadnezzar truly turned to God.
  • His conversion was deep, lasting, and transformative.
  • He became a witness for God to all nations.
  • His experience demonstrates the patience and grace of God even toward the most proud and powerful rulers.
King Nebuchadnezzar. Is a great object lesson, of the evilness of “PRIDE” and Presumption and how God will try to correct us, to humility.

interesting, never saved at all?
So salvation cannot be lost?
Salvation is available through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus promises salvation to those who believe in Him and confess Him as Lord. This promise is unconditional for those who accept it, as seen in Romans 10, which states that if one confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, they will be saved.= God’s Promise.

Yes ! Salvation can be lost by unbelief and disobedience !! Just as Adam & Eve lost their place in “Heaven on Earth” - Eden. But, alas, they lost their salvation, so to speak, by not believing God, when He said, “The day you eat of it, you shall die”. They believed Satan instead of God, When he said, “you shall surely NOT die”. Adam & Eve ate of the forbidden fruit, and being disobedient, lost their “Eternal Life”, Lost their salvation, by unbelief and disobedience.

We, being obedient to Christ’s Call, to “Repent & be baptized, for the remission of sin” are accepting His “Amazing Grace”, by repenting, and turning away from our sin( disobedience) Being washed of all sin, by His Blood, Jesus being obedient, unto death, to The Father’s moral Law, His Commandments. Jesus paid the ultimate price, becoming the Lamb of God, redeeming us with His Blood, to give us a second chance, to be obedient, to the Father’s Will, to be able to reclaim Heaven, and be co-inheritors with Christ to eternal life.

As Brother “Edify” quotes above, in John 15:1-11
John 15:6 If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
John 15:10 If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love.
So !! If we don't "abide" in Christ, as He abided, being obedient, in the Father, then we won't keep the Father's Commandments, and therefore will "be cast out", gathered and "thrown into the fire." = hell fire = Salvation lost = eternity lost = perdition = burnt to ashes = none existent for eternity.

Happy Sabbath Folks

I do not believe God's wrath falls on believers ... discipline? yes ... chastening? yes ... training? yes ... testing? yes ... wrath? no.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

the words "who hold" are translated from the Greek word katechō which means to suppress; hold back; restrain. When the Word of God is spoken, the hearer restrains the truth from reaching his/her heart.

Ephesians 5:6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Colossians 3:6 For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience

also..... since we see in Corinthians:

1 Corinthians 3:13 and 15 speak of the things the believer does ("every man's work") from and after the time he or she is born again. and, yes, our works will be tried by fire.

In John 15:6, it is the branch that is burned ... not fruit or leaves on a branch ... the whole branch is carted off and burned.

I am the Vine ... ye are the branches ...

Homeward bound, brother. Do you ever read your posts back slowly to yourself before pushing <post reply> ? Occasionally your posts scan like normal English. But often the English is very difficult to unravel.
