Now read rev 14.
A group raptured,possibly millions,
You frame your entire doctrine on a phrase "day of the lord"
Then pretend the pretrib rapture verses are somehow missing.
How many more do you want see. Got plentythere are no post trib rapture verses.
None.
I wanted to start a thread to ask a few simple questions about the rapture theory. What ive found in scripture is no wheres near what i hear from the Rapturist. Ive found that when we are changed in the twinkling of an eye, we are not going to heaven but are going to the kingdom, the thousand year period of rest, right here on this earth. The changing {rapture} takes place on the Day of the Lord, after the tribulation period. When the "rapture" takes place is there even 1 scripture that says we are taken to heaven. Ive looked. Cant find a one.
Post trib rapture verse.(we both belive Jesus returns post trib)How many more do you want see. Got plenty
Jesus used lot and noah as examples.The rapture is the gathering of the people of God that happens shortly after the second coming of the Messiah, 17.5 days to be precise in accordance to the book of Revelation, and in accordance to the appointed times of the autumn of the Torah. The rapture would be on the Day of Atonement, which is when the great shofar is blown, at the beginning of a Yovel year, which is why it is written, "and you Israel will be gathered one by one, and on that day the great shofar will be blown". Don't listen to what other people on here tell you regarding the rapture, they have no clue, because they do not know the appointed times of the Torah. I would advise you to read or watch my bible study regarding the appointed times of the Torah and how they all relate to the Messiah. http://www.wisdomofgod.us/2018/10/2...nd-fulfillment-of-the-festivals-of-the-torah/
Ok,you cant have it both ways.Oh my, you really dont know what the "Day of the Lord" is? Thats when Christ returns to this earth, destroys the wicked and sets up His kingdom. I thought everyone knew that. Heres some scriptures proving the "Day of the Lord" is after the tribulation period.
MARK 13 [19] For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.[20] And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.[21] And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:[22] For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.[23] But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
{verses 19-23 describe the trib period}
{verses 24-27 describe the Day of the Lord}
[24] But in those days, AFTER THAT TRIBULATION, the SUN SHALL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON SHALL NOT GIVE HER LIGHT,[25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.[26] And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.[27] And then shall he send his angels, and shall GATHER TOGETHER HIS ELECT from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
In Mark you see the great tribulation period is FOLLOWED by a dark sun and dark moon and the gathering of Gods people {in the twinkling of an eye}
JOEL 2 [10] The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: THE SUN AND THE MOON SHALL BE DARK, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: [11] And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for THE DAY OF THE LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
JOEL 2 [30] And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke. [31] THE SUN SHALL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS, AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND THE TERRIBLE DAY OF THE LORD COME.
In Joel we find the sun will be darkened and the moon into blood BEFORE the Day of the Lord
ACTS 2[19] And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: [20] The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, BEFORE THAT GREAT AND NOTABLE DAY OF THE LORD COME:
As also found in Acts
I would advise you to read or watch my bible study regarding the appointed times of the Torah and how they all relate to the Messiah.
Well, ive already seen what you posted on sabbath keeping. You got that all wrong. I think ill pass
LolACTS 1 [9] And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, HE WAS TAKEN UP; AND A CLOUD RECEIVED HIM out of their sight. [10] And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; [11] Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same JESUS, WHICH IS TAKEN UP FROM YOU INTO HEAVEN, SHALL SO COME IN LIKE MANNER as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Jesus was taken up in a cloud and will return in a cloud. Sure does look like Hes coming only once “in a cloud”.
REVELATION 1 [7] Behold, he cometh WITH CLOUDS; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of THE EARTH SHALL WAIL because of him. Even so, Amen.
When He returns in a cloud the earthlings are gonna wail. Why wail? Are they wailing because theyve been raptured to heaven? No way.
MARK 13 [24] But in those days, AFTER THAT TRIBULATION, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, [25] And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. [26] And then shall they see THE SON OF MAN COMING IN THE CLOUDS with great power and glory.
Jesus returns in the clouds AFTER the tribulation period......
ZEPHANIAH 1 [14] The great DAY OF THE LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. [15] That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, A DAY OF CLOUDS and thick darkness,
On the “Day of the Lord”
1 THESSALONIANS 4 [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For THE LORD HIMSELF SHALL DESCEND FROM HEAVEN with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them IN THE CLOUDS, to meet the Lord in the air: AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD.
After we are caught up and meet Him in the clouds.......
DANIEL 7 [13] I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like THE SON OF MAN CAME WITH THE CLOUDS of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. [14] And there was given him dominion, and glory, AND A KINGDOM, THAT ALL PEOPLE, NATIONS, AND LANGUAGES, SHOULD SERVE HIM: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and HIS KINGDOM THAT WHICH SHALL NOT BE DESTROYED.
Its off to the Kingdom {the 1000 yr period of rest}.
AND SO SHALL WE EVER BE WITH THE LORD
Then pass. All of you are in error in different ways, and stubbornness only makes it worse. Blind people refusing to be helped.
And im sure you believe that you alone can lead the blind out of their darkness.![]()
You could sail an aircraft carrier throgh that hole in your doctrine.
Too funny
