At least 2 reportedly killed in counter-terrorism raid in Belgium


At least 2 people were killed in an anti-terror raid in Belgium Thursday that one official confirmed was "jihadist related," and a man suspected of selling guns used in last week’s terror attacks in France was being detained in another part of the country, according to multiple reports.

The Europeans are doing something about terrorism. What are we doing in the U.S.?

  • Our president is refusing to use the term "Islamist terrorist" in reference to the terrorists killed in France, even going to the ridiculous length of calling terrorists "radical activists."
  • We refuse to revoke the passports of Americans known to be fighting for ISIS or al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. Great Britain, France, Germany, Belgium and 12 other European countries are taking that action once their citizens are identified as terrorist sympathizers fighting for the enemy.
  • We are using drones and air strikes to try to stop ISIS in its advance of territory, though it has long been recommended by our military that we use a small and fast strike force to halt the terrorist organization's advance.
  • We do nothing about Boko Haram, which killed over 2,000 people in the region of Baca in northern Nigeria the same day the Kouachi brothers and Amedy Coulibady killed 12 cartoonists and editors at Charlie Hebdo and an unarmed policewoman working a traffice accident in Paris.
This is what we do in the U.S. about terror: Nothing! While our European allies who were once so reluctant to offend their Muslim populations have come to realize it makes no difference if they are "offended" or not, they are out to kill Westerners and destroy non-Islamic civilization. We are are war. Someone besides the Pentagon and a few realistic and savvy politicians in Washington needs to realize that.

"Our" President apparently has ordered the release of 5 more gitmo detainee's and you'll never guess where there are from.

I knew there was a forgotten bullet point! I heard that on TV between clients just before I posted that. More evidence of his willing complicity with Islamist terrorists.

Just remembered another one, too. We're staffing the guard gates at the consulate in Jerusalem with Palestinians who are likely also terrorists. That's on the web today as well.

I would be more concerned about where they are going next.

I wonder how safe he would feel if they were pulling security at the white house?

More counterterrorism operations were reportedly underway in Belgium late Thursday, hours after police killed at least two in raids aimed at jihadists returning from Syria who were planning to launch a "Belgian Charlie Hebdo" attack, authorities said.

Belgian news site L'Avenir, as well as Le Soir and France24, reported that the government prosecutor's office said a dozen operations have been launched against suspects across Belgium, in Verviers, Brussels and Hal-Vilvoorde. Some of those targeted in the raids are known to have returned recently from Syria.

Looks to me like the Islamist terrorists are pressing the front, hoping to find a weakness. Maybe they don't realize they need to look on another continent for the real weakness in the war on terror. He sits in the White House.
