you quoted John 14 do you notice any condition ?

“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:21, 23-24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

remember God doesn’t change

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

and repayeth them that hate him to their face, to destroy them: he will not be slack to him that hateth him, he will repay him to his face. Thou shalt therefore keep the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which I command thee this day, to do them.”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭7:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

He is steadfast and constant and truthful always

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭12:13-14‬ ‭

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:10‬ ‭

“This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.

These things are good and profitable unto men.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”

To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life.

But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile;

but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:6-11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Some on their way and some see and are thankful, some boastful, thinking they got it and might not yet
God knows every person, every person's motive as God simply won and wins all the time from day 1, now done in Sconce for all to choose to believe God or not. What a loving and merciful God we Got, what a gift. Time to stand in thanksgiving and praise in thankfulness all sin now taken away as far as the east is from the west, for those born new in God's Spirit and Truth to do and love all in truth given them by God, thanks as we each grow in thankfulness, at least me
God simply loves us all, y'all, that be where the change in me too place.
God knows me and God knows everyone else, thank you for the post brother

Yes, God's love is unconditional, but His forgiveness is conditional upon repentance.
Really, I do not know how you get that, not from God, from your interpretations, not mine. God loves us all and you know this truth in you too, thank you and whomever wants or decides to take this gravy given them for granted, is to me, amiss on the mystery of God's love and mercy revealed to us all today in the risen Son today and forever, given anyone by God in belief to God's love for them, see this fact and respond and do or not do as each believes in themselves, might be selfishness, might be led by other humans leads.
Choose to believe God or not in risen Son for you or not, this is all that got left to do is choose God. As all will, ultimately choose, in truth, it is between God and that person, each person individually, personally, what I see after going through under Law for years first and was most miserable, trying to do perfectly=, what no other flesh but Son's did
Romans 8:15-16, best to read the entire Chapter to me at least. Also Romans 2 after reading 1 first, thanks as we go forward in amazing grace of God to appreciate and not use for any self gain, at least me thank you.
I do not know others motives, I can only in truth suspect and remain humble and not accuse or excuse. So, sorry you are still under Law is my view of you GWH, love you as God loves us all, unconditionally, my doing new is of and from God too, the same as Son did first for us all. We love because God first loved us 1 John 4
God says, come in my friend, and if you are willing, I, God will clean you up, are you willing? between God and you? I am in process daily in thanksgiving and praise Psalm 103:12, fulfilled in the risen Son for me to have gotten given Ezekiel 36:26, seeing new in God's Spirit and truth, learning to daily let go of flesh and blood's unrighteousness, that acts as righteousness and is not

“God is still a God of love”

yes indeed. God loves and then teaches us to love and we love in return . Completing true love being mutual between two parties

God loves us your right that’s settled and then our part is this
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

It is unclear what "that" refers to, but your reply implies you ignored my agreeing that God's love is unconditional.

Please redo your reply with that understanding. Thanks.

Regarding God's condition for forgiveness, you indicated it by saying "if you are willing".
Again, I agree.

the problem I am seeing today is: Not many are putting God first, they are putting neighbor first, and not telling truth, when one sees another one not doing truth. Discussing freely is important for learning new and not having to do, simply choosing to do, is deeper and real over having to do or should have, better have, under Law where sin takes occasion from being condemned, when Father and Son, chose to free us, taking it away at that cross in that one time willing death once for us all. To, now be able to do and not take any credit in doing it
Galatians 6:1-8. Now there still remains a time, (Ecclesiastes) when and when not yet. Learned, learning discernment (Matthew 10:16-20) when to and when not to as Daddy. PaPa, Father leads in PaPa's Spirit and Truth for me at least (John 4:23-24) Thank you for the posts, dialogue helps for me at least, trusting Father all in all seeing Son and Holy Spirit as One with Father. As I have as Body, Soul and Spirit, is One Body

God's forgiveness is not conditional, even upon repentance
Done, John 19:30,
Reconciled, 2 Cor. 5:17-20
Forgiven, Eph 1:7
God continues in Son for us all as forgiven, whether or not anyone believes God or not
Romans 8, nothing can separate anyone from Father's love, Nothing
The only thing that changes anything is belief, Son is risen for them personally and then the new begins
Eph 1:13, sees back to Eph 1:6,7 at least me. I am growing in grace by God for me. In appreciation and am confident Phil 1:6, and am seeing this happen in and through me, not quitting Col 1:21-23

Yeah brother I appreciate your posts to me as well . I used to have a hard time understanding but over time I’m understanding more of what you write ( not always but a lot more than when we first started discussing ) I hope that’s mutual , im not easy to understand in text dialogue either .

you said here

“ Not many are putting God first, they are putting neighbor first, and not telling truth, when one sees another one not doing truth. “

i agree but also I think there’s a relationship with loving God and one another

What I mean is they co exist we can’t truly love God , if we don’t love our neighbor.

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We surely put Christ first but the gospel teaches us that when we love another person in his honor and name intently we are loving him. And so there’s tbat relationship of we love God we have to love one another and if we truly live one another believing in him this has always been what he commanded us

““Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’ “

The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25:34-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬

There’s a close relationship between how we treat people and our worship and obedience of him.

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction;

whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:8-10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Ive found in my seven decades here on earth with humans . that how someone treats others on a regular basis ( everyone has bad moments I think ) but on a regular basis how we treat other people is a window into what we truly believe about God

Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction;

whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

"Quote"
Yes, God's love is unconditional, but His forgiveness is conditional upon repentance.
"End Quote"

Well, CC has been educational for me yet again.
In my sheltered Baptist upbringing I never knew anyone who said repentance is not a necessary condition for salvation.
I don't suppose you would be interested in Scripture teaching that it is, beginning with Mark 1:15.

Ive found in my seven decades here on earth with humans . that how someone treats others on a regular basis ( everyone has bad moments I think ) but on a regular basis how we treat other people is a window into what we truly believe about God
Yet, there is proper order, you think? God first above all else, Then one will love truthfully Neighbor as God has loved us first, and people respond in true love and hear when to and when not. These, do as led willingly the same as Jesus did first for us all to get reconciled, before getting installed with new life as born again from God. We do not get cleaned up , before being given new life. That under Law no one ever could do it perfect as is not done for us by Son. Col 1
It is a perplexity to see the outcome of Love given one, anyone from God, these that are given, will truthfully love all in God's call, as Ecclesiastes talks of. When anything done here under the Son is without God's Love then it is futile, So get God, God is on our side, not to condemn, to love. Born to Love. That is what God created us for in the first place. A bird is born to fly, right? If it has a broken wing, it can't fly, can it
If we get, beat up in adversities and do not accept them, we get stagnant and do not grow do we?
God fixed this for us the people by Son for us in the only perfect flesh to ever walk this earth and take our deserved death place to save us ands locate us forever in God's self
Now ,see 1 Cor 13:1-13. Verses 1-3 anyone in flesh can do and appear well, yet without God's Love flowing through them , these are nothing but clanging symbols. Then seeing verse 4-7, is God's real love for us all, and no one but God can do and does verses 4-7. I needed verse 4-7 imputed to me to truly love and not fight in flesh and blood anymore, yes, God removes anger, and everything else by Son for us each that will not quit belief to God in risen Son. Then one gets revealed this amazing love and mercy given us, at least me. Then whenever I think I got it. Then my Eye I is in the way again and I get a messenger of Satan to buffet me again, to keep me humble, 2 Cor 12:7-10. That is not only for Paul it is for us all to be content in as Romans 2:1-4 reminds me of this amazing gift from God for us all to not work for what is given us. together given love all as God does that and has since day one in the fall of the first Adam. Not the second Adam
Thank you, I am elated you learning new, me too, daily and sharing too daily

Well, CC has been educational for me yet again.
In my sheltered Baptist upbringing I never knew anyone who said repentance is not a necessary condition for salvation.
I don't suppose you would be interested in Scripture teaching that it is, beginning with Mark 1:15.
I never said repentance, not needed for anyone to repent. 2 Cor 7, Paul claims the Corinthians repented, and. are saved by God now, than when he wrote 1 Cor. to correct the error they had.
THe Corinthians were misled and used This 100% forgiveness, given them to use it for self interests of the flesh and blood nature, They needed a change of mindset and see why, God forgave us all 100% before any new life could get given anyone, God Father living in and through them, only does this to the willing ones, never by forcing anyone to do it. loving all in the same mercy and truth given them first by God in risen Son willingly.
If it ever were ever by Force, then it would be over and none of us would be here, we all would behave and be puppets with no choice.
I see repent Once between God and you personally, me and God personally as well as all others too. As King David stated, not only have I done wrong, more importantly, God I did this to you, get that from within and see new in love and mercy to all for all, even those that have done you wrong, thank you Father
It is not repent over and over, to have to do that or else God's grace has not a thing to do with God's love and mercy for us all.

“Yet, there is proper order, you think? “

yeah what I’m saying is Gods commandments are to love one another and loving God is keeping his commandments.

sits sich a close relationship the two commandments are joined together is all I’m saying when we love other people we’re living him as he wills You can’t possibly ly love god if you do t live other people and can’t possibly my love other people right unless god first loves you and you actually hear the message he sent telling us in the gospel.

“Romans 2:1-4 reminds me of this amazing gift from God for us all to not work for what is given us. “

“You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things.

Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭2:1-5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

those are relevant verses also but I’m pretty sure you probably meant some part of Roman’s 4 brother where he’s talking about Abraham and quotes the ot regarding our covenant the mercies of David. It’s really a great chapter but they all are if we’re paying attention they actually make a thorough and clear message that all works together to redeem us from sin and death

always a pleasure
