The devil uses the unwary to attack others, please don't lose hope

the devil wants us to feel hopeless & negative , especially suicidal, as it's a mortal sin.

I have felt these things growing up & like others & was tricked by the evil one so it

could get a foothold in my life.

One should accept Christ as their saviour as an informed decision , I don't believe I

was 'saved' by merely being brought up as a Catholic.

what do you think, am I correct in thinking this?
 
I don't know what you mean by informed decision, but people should accept Jesus as their Savior from death, and just growing in a religious background is no substitute for that.

If you reassurance, read about Jesus' encounters with the Jewish people and the Pharisees.
