what are these dark sentences that the Man of Sin understand? Should we understand these dark sentences so we are not in the dark?

Daniel 8:23
And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

[h=3]we are children of the day and not of the dark as the Abomination of Desolation is

1 Thessalonians 5[/h]

1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

[SUP]8 [/SUP]But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

this guy with dark understanding will think he changed God's times and laws

Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

The new year is not January 1st, the new year begins on the month of abib which starts the spring

Exodus 13

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

[SUP]2 [/SUP]Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and of beast: it is mine.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the Lord brought you out from this place: there shall no leavened bread be eaten.

[SUP]4 [/SUP]This day came ye out in the month Abib.

Exodus 12

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.

The Romans dedicated New Year's Day to Janus, the god of gates, doors, and beginnings for whom the first month of the year (January) is also named. After Julius Caesar reformed the calendar in 46 BC and was subsequently murdered, the Roman Senate voted to deify him on the 1st January 42 BC[SUP][4][/SUP] in honor of his life and his institution of the new rationalized calendar.[SUP][5][/SUP] The month originally owes its name to the deity Janus, who had two faces, one looking forward and the other looking backward. This suggests that New Year's celebrations are founded on pagan traditions. Some have suggested this occurred in 153 BC, when it was stipulated that the two annual consuls (after whose names the years were identified) entered into office on that day, though no consensus exists on the matter.[SUP][6][/SUP] Dates in March, coinciding with the spring equinox, or commemorating the Annunciation of Jesus, along with a variety of Christian feast dates were used throughout the Middle Ages, though calendars often continued to display the months in columns running from January to December.[SUP][citation needed][/SUP]
Among the 7th century pagans of Flanders and the Netherlands, it was the custom to exchange gifts at the New Year. This was a pagan custom deplored by Saint Eligius (died 659 or 660), who warned the Flemings and Dutchmen, "(Do not) make vetulas, [little figures of the Old Woman], little deer or iotticos or set tables [for the house-elf, compare Puck] at night or exchange New Year gifts or supply superfluous drinks [another Yule custom]." The quote is from the vita of Eligius written by his companion, Ouen.

Most countries in Western Europe officially adopted January 1 as New Year's
Day somewhat before they adopted the Gregorian calendar. In England, until the adoption of the Gregorian calendar in 1752, the first day of the new year was the Feast of the Annunciation on March 25, also called "Lady Day". The March 25 date was known as Annunciation Style; the January 1 date was known as Circumcision Style,[SUP][7][/SUP] because this was the date of the Feast of the Circumcision, considered to be the eighth day of Christ's life, counting from December 25 when his birth is celebrated. This day was christened as the beginning of the New Year by Pope Gregory as he designed the Liturgical Calendar.[SUP][

which was created first by God? the heavens and earth or the sun, moon or stars?

Genesis 1

King James Version (KJV)

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And the evening and the morning were the third day.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
[SUP]
15
[/SUP]And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,

the earth was already here, we have not accurate record when it was created

we have the heaven which we of Adam creation see, it was created on the 4th day

we have the sun, moon and stars created on the 4th day

the earth is older than the sun moon and all stars.

do we hear this today among our scientist, astronomers, stargazers, wise men etc

this is a dark sentence that we the servants of God should know.

[h=1]what day are we to keep holy and have a holy convocation on?

Sunday[/h]From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Sunday (
[SUP]i[/SUP]/ˈsʌnd/ or /ˈsʌndi/) is the day of the week between Saturday and Monday. For some Christians, Sunday is observed as a day for worship of God and rest, due to the belief that it is Lord's Day, the day of Christ's resurrection.
Sunday is a day of rest in most Western countries, part of 'the weekend'. In some Muslim countries, Sunday is a normal working day and Friday is the day of rest, Muslims also go to jummah prayer.[SUP][citation needed][/SUP]

According to the Hebrew calendars and traditional Christian calendars, Sunday is the first day of the week. According to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 8601 Sunday is the seventh and last day of the week.

No century in the Gregorian calendar starts on a Sunday, whether its first year is '00 or '01.[SUP][1][/SUP] The Jewish New Year never falls on a Sunday. (The rules of the Hebrew calendar are designed such that the first day of Rosh Hashanah will never occur on the first, fourth, or sixth day of the Jewish week; i.e., Sunday, Wednesday, or Friday).

The English noun Sunday derived sometime before 1250 from sunedai, which itself developed from Old English (before 700) Sunnandæg (literally meaning "sun's day"), which is cognate to other Germanic languages, including Old Frisian sunnandei, Old Saxon sunnundag, Middle Dutch sonnendach (modern Dutch zondag), Old High German sunnun tag (modern German Sonntag), and Old Norse sunnudagr (Danish and Norwegian søndag, Icelandic sunnudagur and Swedish söndag). The Germanic term is a Germanic interpretation of Latin dies solis ("day of the sun"), which is a translation of the Ancient Greek heméra helíou.[SUP][2][/SUP] The p-Celtic Welsh language also translates the Latin "day of the sun" as dydd Sul.

[h=1]Sunday[/h] Sunday (Day of the Sun), as the name of the first day of the week
CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Sunday

sunday Is the first day of the week the Lord our God said the 7th day of the week is the holy day.

Deuteronomy 28:49 KJV
(49) The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand;

Deuteronomy is full of blessings and curses. Blessings if they were obedient, curses if they were disobedient and this part is describing Rome and explains the dark sentences.

a dark sentence is something we don't know or understand, something we cant see.
I think so. I think darkness is simply an inability to see, or concealment, rather than something evil.

Daniel 8
[SUP]23 [/SUP]“And in the latter time of their kingdom,
When the transgressors have reached their fullness,
A king shall arise,
Having fierce features,
Who understands sinister schemes.

[SUP]24 [/SUP]His power shall be mighty, but not by his own power;
He shall destroy fearfully,
And shall prosper and thrive;
He shall destroy the mighty, and also the holy people.

[SUP]25 [/SUP]“Through his cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;[SUP][c][/SUP]
And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
He shall destroy many in their prosperity.
He shall even rise against the Prince of princes;
But he shall be broken without human means.[SUP][d][/SUP]

[SUP]26 [/SUP]“And the vision of the evenings and mornings
Which was told is true;
Therefore seal up the vision,
For it refers to many days in the future.

The Christian world considers and follows Sunday the first day of the week,as the sabbath nowadays

but the Lord thy God said

Exodus 20:8-10 KJV
[8] Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [9] Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: [10] But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work,

And when he created the 7th day sabbath there was no Christian or Jew, Catholic or Protestant

Genesis 2:1-3 KJV
[1] Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [2] And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [3] And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

John 12:38-40 KJV
[38] That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? [39] Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again, [40] He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

The whole world has been deceived thinking that the 1st day of the week is the sabbath day of worship when the truth of the matter is the seventh day of the week is still The Lord's sabbath day of rest and worship!
