Poverbs 3;5

Trust in the Lord with all thy heart and lean not on thine own understanding.

Do we live this word when we look to scripture?
Is it meant for scripture, or more?

I have often wondered about this scripture, I remember the first time I heard it, and was humbled.
I believe there is more scripture like it, but I cannot find it right now, :) but I think it said...

Trust not in thine own understanding, but that given by the Holy Spirit.

So, the question put forth here is...
do we trust in our own understanding, or do we do as told, and wait upon that given by God through the Holy Spirit?

It is saying not to use our own logic what we have been brought up from birth. Our perception about death and life isn't true. We think death is light out because what we have seen or experienced.

1 Timothy 6:20Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge,

2 Timothy 3:7always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.

John 8:32Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”

John 8:44You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 14:17the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

John 16:13But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.
 
In west Church before almost 1000years happened seismic events that left to a present day indelible impact on view of Church on all questions.
Before 1000years it started as infallible of Pope and him as successor of Christ on earth,His vicar.
What happened couple centuries later u know much better then i,but does it changed anything?The answer is no.
What i can conclude from talk with protestants is that infallible Pope of Rome is replaced with infallible man in Amsterdam,New York,Paris.Doesn't u asking yourself,if u all are leaded by Holy Spirit,why u have so many different churches and almost every pastor have different interpretation of Bible?Where does it can lead?Where is the truth there?
 
Trust in God alone and God is teaching us through the scriptures. Asking God to grant us understanding as we search scriipture and waiting on Him to reveal truth.

First, there is only on chrusch in Jesus Christ, for this is the body of all who believe in Jesus Christ is Lord come ion the flesh.
But there are many religions and docturines, saddly such does cause division in some.

Your question is part of why this scripture is posted, as I do ponder the same.
One answer might be?
Because God created many different kinds of people.
Scripture also says, that there are many parts, but one body, just becuase the hand is different from the foot, does not mean they are not part of the same body.
Maby because some saw a wrong in one religions docturines, and separated to a different religion or docturine because of that wrong.
Maby it is simply because some have relied on their own understanding, thus this posting.

One could go into a big discussion as to the whys, but it would better serve in Jesus, to look to what we are told to do in scripture, as it is in this, that truth heals and brings solutions rather than division. :)

So back to the original posting. :)

Trust not in thy own understanding but that given by the Holy Spirit.

So, the question now is how do we do this? :)
I believe the answer is trusting to God in faith.

But we see all the time in this forum, alot of different interpitations, we also see fear being used to keep some from one docturine or teaching.
The fear part has troubled me, mostly because it brought the parable about the talents to consideration.
And I ask if we are letting fear keep us from faith?

The parable tells about how moneys were given to servants by the master while he was gone.
Each servant that increased the moneys given , pleased the master when he returned.
But one servant, was afraid, so he hid the money and did nothing with it.
The master was angry with this servant, so he took the money away and gave it to the servants that had increased the moneys given.

So, if we are afraid to live understanding given, afraid of getting it wrong, or to speak to truth, could we be hiding the gift of faith,understanding, for fear we might lose what we were given?
The parable seems to speak to this.
That we are to in faith, trust all to God , for understanding, but also in faith, to take these gifts, and increase them.

I hope Im speaking to this correctly, please post if it can be better said. :)

If there is one body which is Church and her head is Jesus Christ,what represent then splited Churches which are different from Liturgical life to dogmas and cannons?
Can hands work against legs and can legs leading whole body in disaster?
Those are very serious things.

But we also cannot let fear keep us from increasing the gifts of faith and works.
Again, we must in faith, trust in Jesus , all to God Our Father.

The better question here is how do we learn what we are?
Thus again, rest not in your own understanding, but trusting all to the Lord.

They all follow what they like, and they do not LIKE JESUS or the TRUTH! They follow FALSE teachings because then they have an excuse for their sin... All explained in the Bible...

The ones that LIKE JESUS FOLLOW HIM WITH A CROS DAILY UNTIL THEY die off tHE old sinning man they are... Then they are SAINTS, and then God makes them ONE WITH THE BOLY OF CHRIST... THe ONLY Church on earth that will go to heaven.... They are the PERFECT MEN OF GOD IN CHRIST...

Oh God says they are FEW... here on earth, but when ALL the men of God gathers on that day,,, it will be a LOT!

What mean Christianity and how much minds does it have,which leading Church and their members?
I see East and West arent the same.Even worst,they are on oposite sides.I see Pope of Rome who i infalible,then Protestants who are infalible also.Who is falible then?
I see on the Orthodox East one Church in Russia,Greece,Jerusalen,Antioch and many more who are the same.
Why we arent all in 1 but all in 1 on East and millions in thousands on West?
 
Delija Jesus says they ARE PERFECTLY ONE... John 17 and Eph 4:11 to 13... All God's Children have ONE SPIRIT ONE TRUTH ONE FATHER ONE BAPTISM.... ONE BODY and NO SINNERS ALLOWED... they need to go through GOD's SALVATION FIRST...

There are divisions, many reasons.
But if one looks always to what is wrong, all one will see is what is wrong.
Jesus said, keep your eyes on me.
One is to look always in faith, to Jesus Christ is Lord come in the flesh.
When one does this, they know Him and the truth, and follow Him as called to.
Jesus is the one who unites His church, and perfects it.

While I get your point and I bet many others here do also, I think that it would take Christ's return before everyone will become one again.

Remember, we are to help one another. We are to be charitable.

Delijah the HIDDEN church Of GOD IS PERRFECTLY ONE... And GOD HIMSLELF MAINTAIN THAT CHURCH!
That church is here right now and right here on earth... HID IN GOD WITH CHRIST GOD SAYS!
