I think that we are influenced by the world more than we like to admit as Christians or confess. I think that too often we have friends and peers that don't have the same faith as us and that we don't want to offend or start an argument with so we dampen our flame to keep the peace. When we hear people talking sinfully we won't contribute to the sin, but we won't speak up. I know sometimes I am guilty of it just because I don't like conflict, and need to work on it. We don't look at it as being influenced by the world because we still have the same values and beliefs but I think that it still is evidence that we are being influenced.

it's what twamps21 said. are we really different to the rest of the world or like try to please in order to feel we belong. i try to fit in but i feel terribly wrong inside, its like im an eagle but im behaving like a chicken
most everyone on earth worships demons and refuse to repent of it - that's how much the world's influence (and satan's, and sin's) affect the billions on earth.
so, if you are moving about unspotted by the world, you're one of the few.....
we're not different, not one of us, unless we're purchased by the BLOOD OF THE LAMB...

Matthew 16 26 is my favorite Bible verse. It says "what good is it to a man if he gains the whole world but forfeits his soul". I think this is very important for us to remember. I know its hard but would you rather be an outcast, for the moment you stick up for Jesus in this world, or would you rather be an outcast of Heaven for eternity? I have to remind myself sometimes that Jesus DIED for me so there's no excuse for me toning down my faith.

i'm less surprised than before though. when i first started , not too long ago, i actually thought
most of the long-timers anyway had read the bible.
the longer i'm here, the more i see that's not even close... oh, some have. most haven't....

I remember my parents getting upset when restaurants started serving alcohol. They began only going to eateries that did NOT serve alcohol, which was quite a few then. However, now, other than fast food joints and perhaps a mom&pop owned buffet, they cannot find a nice restaurant that eradicates alcohol from their menue. Oh well...this also overflows into the internet..I can be reading daily biblical devotionals online and get instant vulgar pop-ups and raunchy emails and more. DO I start a protest and war? NO...I humbly erase and go about my business. My mom walked thru a restaurant one time and removed the advertisements of alcohol from the tables. IT got her nowhere...the wine lists were put back on the tables after our family get-together was over in the banquet room.

Scripture says it is good to be like the Bereans and test everything (find it lines up with Scripture) before believing it.
How will you know if it lines up with Scripture if you don't look it up?
albeit, if you're hindered from internet searches on biblegateway, or otherwise cannot read or look up,
I am not at all against making up the difference, even without knowing why..... no worries.
but if you are capable of reading and using the computer and can search, that is what you should do,, EVEN IF I TOLD YOU WHERE TO READ OR QUOTED IT>>> check it and more anyway to be sure it lines up with all Scripture as far as you can determine....
yea, there's even a thread with that title, that a bunch of "possible" pagans railed against
because they had failed to read the BIBLE. (in any language possibly; even in english)
it only takes reading it once to know ..... and no memory work is required, or
anything so exhausting....
so, i reckon you can look it up online in Scripture like at biblegateway,
or find the thread.... (if you find the thread, you will get to see who else hasn't read the BIBLE)
okay, let's try to simplify.
everyone on earth , practically, serves/worships demons.
it is written in GOD'S WORD than no one* on earth is willing to stop serving/worshiping demons.
if you have not stopped, that means you still are. (the only way to stop is to be saved,btw, in case you didn't know that either).
now, is that so hard ?
if you want to find it, go look. it might be the most important thing you find and read IN THE BIBLE in the last year or in many years or even in your whole LIFE .

Yeah... Um... See... I never worshipped any demons when I was a non Christian. In fact, movies about them even freaked me out. So I will say again in that I have no idea what you are going on about.
