I need prayer over a bunch of items that need to be under the blood. Please please pray over all this for me. Thanks:
1) Please pray that my legal problems get resolved out of court and that I don't get a criminal record.
2) Please pray that my tax problems get resolved without major implications
3) Please pray that I get all the sin out of my life and that I just walk daily on the straight and narrow path
4) Please pray that if I have any curse following my life from when I did witchcraft 18 yrs ago that it be removed permanently
5) Please pray that God will forgive me and not cut my life short since I disrespected my parents so much when I was young.
6) Please pray that any curse or emotional issues from my parents divorce is removed from my live permanently and completely.
7) Please pray that I break free from sexual immorality permanently which is an area that seems to plague me.
8) Please pray that I eventually find a new and profitable business to do in Gods perfect timing.
9) Please pray that I start eating more healthy and not overeating anymore.
10) please pray that God will bring good Christian friends into my life and or a good bible study group
Wow okay that's enough for now, but all this does need serious prayer. Please please pray over it all, just a lot of issues I think I'm still dealing with that I want to overcome. Thanks brothers and sisters.
There are things that God will do for you, through prayer and faith, then there are things that you need to remove yourself, with the authority that God has given you. 1 and 2 seem to be a personal issue from your immediate actions, I don't know how you got into that, but that's something you have to bring before God with repentance and then pray for favor with God and men to resolve these issues. The rest are pretty much the things that you have and influence over yourself and through the power and authority of God given to you 8) and 10) thereby need to be consecrated to God in prayer and then listen also and 9) of course is your will to do the right thing. That needs to come from a decision you make and then stick with it. Make yourself a plan of foods that you want to eat, avoiding the unhealthy ones, look up healthy recipes on the internet and then make it yourself if you can and as much as possible. Most foods you buy prepared are loaded with bad chemicals and of course stay away from fast food joints, unless it's salad bars... avoid sodas and any other sugar water fruit juice drinks. Cut out sugar as much as possible, well you probably know what to avoid.
The rest you are talking about goes back to either sins in your life or generational curses, as you already rightly assessed. That is a good thing, because identifying the problem is half the solution.
There are ways to deal with these things.
First of all they have to be repented of. That is definitely true for sins that you have committed yourself and then sins in your family line where a curse came down this line and is now affecting you (e.g. your parent's divorce but there could be others involved you haven't even mentioned)
For the sins of your family line you can stand in the gap with repenting for what your ancestors did and then afterwards break that curse over you and your descendants.
1John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
That will take care of the sin between God and you. Confess anything on this list and then anything else that the Holy Spirit brings to your mind. As detailed as possible is best.
Then literally speak out to break the applicable curse, one after another. Renounce any involvement with that sin behind that curse, e.g. all involvement with the occult, sexual immorality, curses of divorce, separation, illegitimacy curses on your life that might have come down from the ancestor line also, abandonment, rejection, etc...
Renunciation is breaking the legal stronghold that the enemy has in your live by opening the door to them through sin or curses that were already in effect through your parents and/ or their parents, etc.
Scripture says that God judges man's sin up to the 3rd and 4th generation and some sins even further.
Exodus 34:7
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.
After you removed the right of the curse, which is like an instruction for an evil spirit to torment you, make you sick, or attack you, you need to evict these spirits that have taken residency through that curse, sin.
In Mark 16:17 we are commanded to do this:
And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;
Matthew 10:
Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Matthew 10:1
1 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
and many other scriptures.
Some misguided people (like most churches) unfortunately believe and teach that these all left magically by accepting Jesus as savior and the blood covered everything so that now they have no more problems, which is false and actually a doctrine of demons, they Bible doesn't say that. If that was true, you wouldn't seek help in this post to begin with. Beware of these people, they say everything is covered by grace and all you have to do is sit back and enjoy yourself in your salvation because everything bad has been gone. It's a trick of the enemy itself!
You cast out the demons in the name of Jesus Christ. He is your deliverer, through the Holy Spirit. If they are not cast out, they can continue to build strongholds in you (mostly mind) from where they take control over people by weakening their will and keep them addicted, bound to all kinds of sins, that just seem so hard to get rid of no matter how much you keep praying for God to just take them away. But He won't, unless you do the first step and follow His command and use the authority He gave you!
Luke 10:19
Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. - only though if you use that power against them, then they have no more control over you!
2 Timothy 1:7
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
A spirit of fear is an evil spirit (as shown does not come from God), that effects your power and attacks your mind to rob you of your faith and it leaves you intimidated and frozen to act. If you sense that in your life, you need to use the "tools" , weapons mentioned above and cast it out.
There are spirits that have a stronghold over a person, that fasting is needed to overcome it:
(It definitely helps for all sexual immorality attacks)
Mark 9:28-30
28 And when He had come into the house, His disciples asked Him privately, “Why could we not cast it out?”
29 So He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”
It would be good if you can arrange it so that you can have a day of water fast (nothing but water) maybe regularly until you sense that you broke free - it also would be good to make that a regular habit otherwise, it will help you in your spiritual walk and it is good for your body, since you want to lose weight anyway, it makes your body actually stronger and healthier...
After deliverance of casting out the demon(s) make sure you thank God and let Him refill you with the Holy Spirit, to completely fill out any areas that were occupied by the enemy before.
That part in your heart that still sins is darkness in God's eyes. We are commanded to get all darkness out of our heart and to cleanse ourselves. This is just the basic principle and a way to do that.
Luke 11:35-37
35 Therefore take heed that the light which is in you is not darkness. 36 If then your whole body is full of light,
having no part dark, the whole body will be full of light, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”
2 Corinthians 7:1
Therefore, having these promises, beloved,
let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh
and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Timothy 2:20-22
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honor and some for dishonor. 21 Therefore if anyone
cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. 22 Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
We see here God doesn't just do it FOR us!
James 4:
1 Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members? 2 You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain. You fight and war. Yet you do not have because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures. 4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?
6 But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“ God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”
7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.
Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.
here you see that it is first of all a deep sorrowful coming from the heart repentance that God is looking for,
afterwards we are commanded to cleanse ourselves (our hearts) so they do not have darkness in them anymore. This darkness is sin and sin brings death and curses that bring death. A curse is nothing more than an evil spirit with a right to a part over you that the curse gives it to him. That is the dark part.
God allows this to happen to judge his people, so that they might be saved and not perish.
In 1 Corinthians 5 we can see how Paul uses and applies this very same principal to bring people in his congregation to repentance that are involved in sexual immorality:
3 For I indeed, as absent in body but present in spirit, have already judged (as though I were present) him who has so done this deed. 4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when you are gathered together, along with my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, 5
deliver such a one to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
and again in 1 Tim 1:20
...of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom
I delivered to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.
So it's important that we use the grace of God in the right way, not to rest in it and think God will just do everything for us, this way we are missing the picture of what Grace is, it has to be applied to wage war against our enemies, stand and reject sin, overcome and then help others. That is what the gospel is about - not any armchair Christianity that is being preached everywhere.
They only preach God is Love,which is true, but this is only one part, they usually leave out:
Heb 10:30-31 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The LORD will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Be blessed the peace and grace of God be with you as you sort this out.
Philippians 2:12
Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
