I know how it works.
I've read the Book.
And I see from reading further, you do too. Bravo.

My issue with you has been: why are you so hard on Catholic peoples who may or may not believe in their hearts what their institution teaches/stands for?

That's like holding all jews responsible for what The Great Harlot does.

We ought not to do either.
More on this in your next post.

I think it is a step too far to believe that a catholic person could remain part of the church knowing the truth.

You may know differently on this matter...

I have no right to keep from sharing the Truth whether it is a jewish, muslim or catholic etc.....

Hold it against me, it matters not, I answer to Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah.

You are welcome to add me to your ignore list...

zionism is the view that jews have a right to their own secure and sovereign state in their ancestral homeland...so logically antizionism is the view that jews have no such right...and unless it is coupled with a rejection of the concept of sovereign statehood in general...it is antisemitism...

you seem surprised at the idea that there might be antisemitic jews...but the truth is that pretty much every ethnic group has a 'self loathing' fringe...for example see the russian boris stomakhin's hate speech against the russian people...

i have no problem with legitimate critiques of israeli policy...for example those who say that the west bank settlement expansion needs to stop for the sake of a future peace...but legitimate critiques aren't what people like you are presenting...instead you are throwing out misinformed conspiracy theories and lopsided criticism...

if you really support a two state solution...then why do you try to portray every attempt by israelis to defend their state against aggressors as some great evil? is it your idea of a two state solution to have a passive israel that can be bullied just like the jews in medieval europe were? does your idea of a two state solution include an israel constantly under siege from suicide bombing and missile fire by those who refuse to accept its existence?

also you 'liked' edward99's posts which included a lot of vile baseless accusations and paranoid conspiracy delusions...i assumed from your endorsement of his posts that you agreed with those views... if you didn't agree with him...then i suggest being more careful of what you 'like' in the future...

and i will point out again that you made no attempt to expose the persecution of jews by muslims and arabs until i called you out of antisemitism...why wasn't your supposed evenhandedness evident from the start?

the israelis are not my 'lords'...but they have my support when they do the right thing... why do you slander and lie so much? we know who the father of lies is...

debating how israel and its neighbors compare in terms of democracy and respect for human rights would probably be fruitless...so i will just point out that you 'liked' posts where edward99 called israel 'more antichrist than the other nations in the region' and so on... you will have to excuse me for thinking that your sudden new claim that you view all the players in the region as equally bad sounds like a hastily made up lie to conceal what you actually think...

there are states where buddhism or hinduism are the official religions...yet there are no antibhutanists or antinepalists coming out of the woodwork all the time saying it is antichristian to accept the right of those states to determine their own religious status... all we ever get is antizionists eager to call anyone antichristian if they suggest that a jewish state isn't the embodiment of evil...

your definition of 'antichristian' is unscriptural...the scriptures you cited say that to deny that jesus christ has come in the flesh is what makes someone an antichrist...this is what the gnostics did when they taught falsely that jesus was some sort of spiritual apparition without any physical flesh...that is what this passage is condemning...

jews on the other hand don't deny that jesus came in the flesh...in fact they believe that jesus was nothing but a man...the same goes for most other religions and even some christian heretics...

your claim that jesus christ is spoken against in the talmud is an old myth that was used to stir up antisemitism in europe...i have addressed the supposed references to jesus in the talmud in past threads...to make a long story short i showed that none of these supposed references to jesus actually agree with even the most basic descriptions of the historical jesus and his life...

you accuse me of being ignorant of historical facts but you said near the beginning of your post that galileo was called a heretic for teaching that the world was round instead of flat... actually the roundness of the earth was not in question...galileo's controversial idea was the notion that the earth revolved around the sun instead of the other way around...and even then copernicus proposed the same thing without getting into any trouble with the authorities... galileo himself wrote that the main reason for his persecution was that he had personally insulted the pope in the heat of argument...

so much for ignorance of basic history...

lol you think i get my information directly from the israeli defense force? paranoid much?

it is plain for everyone to see that this whole debate started out by being about whether or not it is 'christian' to side with other professing christians or anyone else who does evil or supports evil...specifically whether or not it is christian to support a mass murderer...and whether or not it is christian to call for repentance on the part of professing christians who support a mass murderer...

so my 'first loyalty' that showed up was loyalty to christ and his word which clearly speaks out against murder... israel wasn't even part of the argument until you showed up and started in with the typical israel bashing... that was when you showed that -your- first loyalty was to unchristian antizionist hate...since it was the very first thing that came out of your mouth...

psalm 52

I've read through this response a few times now, and even prepared a reply. However, having given it some more thought I concluded that your repsonse is not worthy of a reply. It is simply too much slandering, lies, projections, presumptuous assumptions and personal attacks (the latter being actually against the forum rules) etc. Too much and far below any acceptable level.

I wish not to waste any time on meaningless and repeated quarrel. I see it serving no good purpose at CC. If we were at stalemate I could leave it at that, but since you contentiously think that people who disagree with your own private views on Israel and non-messianic jews are "antisemites" I find it but useless to make any attempt to a serious discussion (there has not been, nor can there be, any discussion at all with that outlook in view) or to address you further. However, I will make inputs on the important issues that has come to attention in these posts. I just see no good reason to keep exchanging posts between us.

Before I end this post I shall, nevertheless, yet make an input on a comment in your latest response that touched a historical detail.

you accuse me of being ignorant of historical facts but you said near the beginning of your post that galileo was called a heretic for teaching that the world was round instead of flat... actually the roundness of the earth was not in question...galileo's controversial idea was the notion that the earth revolved around the sun instead of the other way around...and even then copernicus proposed the same thing without getting into any trouble with the authorities... galileo himself wrote that the main reason for his persecution was that he had personally insulted the pope in the heat of argument...
It is correct that Galileo was not on trial for stating that the earth is round. I admit that I expressed myself clumsy there. While Galileo did not outright claim that the earth was round (yet in his writings on his telescopical observations he did note that stars and planets appeared to be round in shape, and his views, among others, eventually contributed to the affirmation that the earth is round), his copernican heliocentric views caused him trouble with the papist masters. He was finally found "guilty" of "heresy" for standing by his heliocentrism, since the papists had insisted through their "decree" that geocentrism was the "truth". The "punishment" was house arrest for the remainder of his life and bans and restrictions laid on his written works.

The bottom line is not about the details in this particular case of the inquisition though. So let no one be sidetracked OT by that. Rather the allegory is all about how mighty institutions, such as the popery, sometimes usurp an authority that they don't have and take it to themselves to decide, on false grounds, what "truth" is and then goes to great lengths to surpress all those who do not accept their "truth" as objective truth, by criminalizing and penalizing (sometimes even unto death) those who dare to question or dissent to their self-chosen "truth". It is this kind of autocratic, totalitarian and control-freakish apparatus we see at work as well in much of the zionist establishment. It is the same kind of thought police at work in enticing fear in people to "think right", spawning ever more bizarre suspicions, accusations and black labelings. A tyranny in its beginnings. Is there any difference if the dictator is roman or jewish?

And just for the record:

... israel wasn't even part of the argument until you showed up and started in with the typical israel bashing...
Israel was part of the arguments long before I "showed up", even from the first post. I just stated my position on the state of Israel as an antichristian entity on par with the muslim states, and what I believe should be the No.1 loyalty for christians. Since then you have not ceased to heap accusations and attribute views to me that I don't have and making bizarre conclusions. All of it done in a contentious spirit. With the best of wills I cannot view such behavior as serious. You have had enough of attention.

Questioning Israeli policy, I can see that. Making broad-brush statements about the Jews controlling the media, among other things you've said? A bit harder to deflect an anti-semitism charge on that one. I've said it before, the Jews I know who I think I have a chance to convert? No way would I show them this board, or your posts.

The Israel Project’s Secret Hasbara Handbook Exposed

...Douglas Bloomfield and Newsweek have done pretty close to that against the Israel lobby. Specifically, they’ve exposed a secret hasbara handbook written for The Israel Project by star Republican marketer, Frank Luntz. The oddly-named Global Language Dictionary (pdf) is a veritable goldmine of arguments, strategy, tactics. At 116 pages, it’s not for the faint of heart. But anyone who wants to get inside the head of the Israel lobby must read this document....

Remind people – again and again – that Israel wants peace. Reason One: If Americans see no hope for peace—if they only see a continuation of a 2,000-year-long episode of “Family Feud”—Americans will not want their government to spend tax dollars or their President’s clout on helping Israel.

Bingo. Here Luntz inadvertently speaks the truth. Israel wants peace in the same vague way that a 13 year old girl may want to be whoever the teen idol of the moment happens to be. Israel has no plan. No means of getting to peace. So to say that Israel wants peace is, once again, meaningless.

And the fear lurking in the hearts of the lobby is that some day Israel will be exposed and Americans will abandon it because they will come to understand that whatever Israel may claim it wants, there will never be peace under terms acceptable to Israel. That will be a day of reckoning that the lobby wants to avoid at all costs.

Join IDF’s Virtual Hasbara Army

by RICHARD SILVERSTEIN on JULY 4, 2012 · 3 COMMENTS
in HUMOR, MIDEAST PEACE

Every once in a while (all too often I’m afraid) articles come along like this one from today’s Jerusalem Post. While reading them you stare at the page in a cross between utter disbelief and hilarity that someone in a position of authority in the IDF actually believes that the idiocy they’re peddling is a good idea. In this case, Ruth Eglash, the Post’s intrepid “digital media editor” (at least that’s what her Twitter bio states), writes that the IDF is looking for a few thousand good men–and perhaps even a few women. They should be pro-Israel Walter Mitty types who may’ve dreamed of joining the Israeli army but couldn’t either because they’re long in the tooth or wide in the paunch. Now, the hasbara brigade is inviting them to do the next best thing: join the virtual army and play a game called “Israel Ranks“:

It could be the solution that millions of Jews and supporters of Israel worldwide are looking for: A chance to sign up for the Israeli army and help in the fight to defend the Jewish state – virtually.

A new initiative launched this week by the IDF Spokesman’s Office on its blog provides an online option for those cannot or do not want to physically join the army, but nevertheless want to contribute to the well-being and future of the Jewish state.

“Have you ever wanted to join the military and fight to defend Israel?” reads the introduction to “IDF Ranks,” an online game that allows participants to sign up via social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter and earn points by disseminating as much positive information about the army and its activities as possible.

As players earn points, they are rewarded and allowed to move up through the ranks of the IDF, starting with the first level of “Green Private” just for signing up, and moving through to “Skilled Private,” “Veteran Private,” “Specialist Private,” “Green Corporal” and onward, until they pass through 48 different levels and accumulate 1 million points.

Those who are really addicted to social media or are especially dedicated to spreading the views of the IDF can even reach the rank of Lieutenant-General. “All rise for the new Chief of Staff! You’re the commander of the Israel Defense Forces, sir. Salute!” states the text below the game’s final badge of honor.

Listen up there, private! Polish those shoes, clean those fingernails! The sergeant over there will look you over and if you think he’ll accept anything less than your hasbara best you’ve got another thing coming!

Eglash will have to excuse us for taking a different view of this nonsense than hers:

The game, which clearly has super hasbara (public diplomacy) potential, is a brave attempt by the army to harness the power of social media in sending messages and defending the state online.

This we’re led to believe, will make all the difference in convincing the world of the righteousness of Israel’s cause. Play a game and the world will join you in singing Israel’s praises. The cynicism and utter divorce from reality that this represents is mind-boggling. To join this IDF crusade you don’t have to know anything about Israel, you don’t have to have ever fired a shot or been fired upon. You just walk downstairs from the bedroom, fire up the PC and zap those anti-Israel maggots as if it were a Super Mario Brothers game.

I’ve always loved political satirists like Mort Sahl, Dick Gregory and Andy Berkowitz because at times like this the only reasonable response is laughter. Not a belly laugh, but the dark, knowing laugh of sarcasm and satire.

Maybe you just see what you want to see. There has been no "broad-brush statements" on jews at all. Last time I checked ALL jews did not work in Hollywood or in the media.

If telling the fact that jews are proportionally over-represented in Hollywood and some of the media (and that these jews normally are non-messianic jews) is offensive to anyone then the problem lies with those who are offended. The problem of veritophobia that is.

Do you agree with the lunatic opinion that antizionism=antisemitism? That antizionism by necessity MUST be antisemitism? I hope not.

Much of the so called "antisemitism" of our day is to be found nowhere else than in fanatic and deluded minds who see their ghosts whereever they want to. Much like popery saw their ghosts in the days of Galileo.

Ironic, indeed.

Hmm, is there a word for painting an entire race/ethnicity with the same negative brushstroke? I'm sure there's one in the dictionary somewhere ...

That's handy how that worked. Skipped right over what should be an easy thing to say, 'Hey ya. That's true. So?'

Did you look over this site? Is the fellow "a __________________ (word for painting an entire race/ethnicity with the same negative brushstroke)" because he has broken down the verifiable reality that a handful of mega corporations control approximately 90% of American media? I don't think he mentions any 'race or ethnicity'.

Now there is no shortage of Nasdaq or Forbes or other publications that quickly and clearly break down who owns what. So exactly why are we struggling with the facts?

Are we embarrassed about who owns what? Why? Why would we need to blur something like this?

More precisely, why the need to demonize someone for stating the obvious/truth?

Even more importantly, why do we have a global campaign to legislate silence on this particular matter in spite of reality? Going even further, why are people going to prison for this? What's going on here?

We reaffirm the EUMC – now Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) – working definition of anti-Semitism, which sets forth that:

“Contemporary examples of anti-Semitism in public life, the media, schools, the workplace, and in the religious sphere could, taking into account the overall context, include, but are not limited to:
* Calling for, aiding, or justifying the killing or harming of Jews in the name of radical ideology or an extremist view of religion.
* Making mendacious, dehumanizing, demonizing, or stereotypical allegations about Jews as such or the power of Jews as collective – such as, especially but not exclusively – the myth about a world Jewish conspiracy, or of Jews controlling the media, economy, government or other societal institutions.
* Accusing Jews as a people of being responsible for real or imagined wrongdoing committed by a single Jewish person or group, or even for acts committed by non-Jews.
* Denying the fact, scope, mechanisms (e.g. gas chambers) or intentionality of the genocide of the Jewish people at the hands of National Socialist Germany and its supporters and accomplices during World War II (the Holocaust).
* Accusing the Jews as a people, or Israel as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust.
* Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to Israel, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations.

Examples of the ways in which anti-Semitism manifests itself with regard to the State of Israel taking into account the overall context could include:

* Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavour.
* Applying double standards by requiring of it behaviour not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation.
* Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g. claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize Israel or Israelis.
* Drawing comparisons of contemporary Israeli policy to that of the Nazis.
* Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the State of Israel.
However, criticism of Israel similar to that levelled against any other country cannot be regarded as anti-Semitic.
Let it be clear: Criticism of Israel is not anti-Semitic, and saying so is wrong. But singling Israel out for selective condemnation and opprobrium – let alone denying its right to exist or seeking its destruction – is discriminatory and hateful, and not saying so is dishonest.

CFCA - The Coordination Forum for Countering Antisemitism

So, though the above list of thought crimes is not comprehensive (it's a "working definition"), and it's just a sample of thousands that are out there....one can see that it is a crime to (excuse me if I remove all the inflammatory adjectives....just trying to clean up the blurring):

"[Make] .....allegations about...Jews controlling the media..."

Allegations?

See, I'm not that fond of people suppressing the truth in unrighteousness.
And I'm certainly not appreciative of being threatened in some very serious way for choosing to believe (or not believe) what I can read in Business and Financial reports.

What's this all about?

If Bill has a bowl of oranges on the table, and Bob says 'Hey. Bill has a bowl of oranges' but Bob denies he has the oranges and accuses Bill of hating him or causing trouble of some kind, which of those two guys has an issue?

Apparently in spite of the fact Bill just simply has a bowl of oranges on the table and everyone sees it, Bob is the one in trouble.

What's the problem here exactly?

Perhaps a new thread on the matter might get some clarity.

OK.
Please accept my apology for missing what you are actually saying concerning individual Catholics.

On another matter, I was interested to see your comment concerning Pilate + Herod.
Would you consider expanding on this in another thread in the Bible discussion forum?

Yeah, right.

I started looking up sources, but the best answer to all this insanity was this post here.

Lets look at the Networks, ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX.

ABC: Owned by the Walt Disney Company.

The Walt Disney Company is a massive media conglomerate, largest in the world by revenue. They own ESPN, Pixar, Lifetime/A&E networks and Marvel. Its President and CEO, Robert Iger is Jewish, but the company is publicly traded on the stockmarket. The majority of its shares are owned by Mutual Fund companies. Fidelity Investments has the largest number of Disney shares at 5%. Note none of the shareholders have any clear majority in the company. Fidelity Investments is a private company, owned by Edward Johnson III and his daughter Abigail. Their roots go back to the Perkins and Welds families of Boston. They are not Jews, but have English roots that go back almost 700 years.

Now lets look at CBS. They are owned by the CBS Corporation. Leslie Moonves is the President and CEO of the CBS Corporation. Moonves is Jewish. The majority shareholder and chair of CBS is Sumner Redstone of the private company National Amusements, which also has controlling stakes in Viacom, MTV Networks, BET, Paramount Pictures, and Nickelodeon networks. Sumner Redstone is Jewish. So far we have one media conglomerate with controlling interests that are Jewish.

Now onto NBC. NBC is owned by NBC Universal. Its President and CEO is Steve Burke. I cannot find anything that says what his religious affiliation is. The majority, 51%, of NBC Universal's stock is owned by Comcast. Its President and CEO, Brian L Roberts, is Jewish. Comcast is not a private company though. The majority holders of Comcast are like Disney, financial insititutions and mutual funds. Dodge and Cox are the largest holder, but do not have a majority. Note: General Electric, a public company, controls roughly the other half of NBC's shares. Its President and CEO does appear to be Jewish, but its major holders are institutions and mutual funds. The Vanguard Group is the single largest major holder. Vanguard is owned by its members.

Now for FOX. Fox is owned by Fox Entertainment Group, who also owns 20th Century Fox, Fox News, FX, and NatGeo channel. The group itself is completely owned by News Corporation. Rupert Murdoch isn't Jewish. News Corporation is a public company. Like Comcast, Dodge and Cox are the single largest major holders. I havn't found much info on them yet.

So the statement that "the majority of media owners are Jewish" is false.

The majority of media owners are investors, who invest in mutual funds and stocks.

Only one of the broadcast networks has a clear Jewish major controlling interest.

Jewish executives do not equal Jewish owners.

I could further make the point that for awhile, the biggest or at least most well-known media mogul in the US was Ted Turner, who was raised Catholic/Episcopalian.

The kind of spouting off on the Jews has been around since forever. It comes from the same kind of people who were around here last year with videos by lunatics passing off innuenoes, rumors, and half-truths as facts about how the Jews and Bush actually planned 9/11. And those weren't even the craziest conspiracies they threw about. Meanwhile, they had no idea how insane they looked. And yet they had no answer for why it is the Jews still exist when they went nearly 2000 years without a homeland. Or how Israel survived the six-day war when clearly outnumbered. The mind boggles that it must have been Divine intervention. Gee, wonder why God would care about them, huh.

But you know Edward, I think you're right. There is indeed an institution out there that has existed for many hundreds of years that own property everywhere, operate publicly and privately, have untold billions if not trillions hidden away in clandestine banks and countries, have open and secret agencies everywhere, and even have their own country where the plot how to hide their crimes ranging from murder and political interventions to child abuse and institutional avarice from the authorities. That's why I invite you to join with me to expose the crimes of the Catholic Church, an institution with real power and naked ambition, who lives off the support they get from their membership and ...

Edward? Wait, did I say something wrong?

I mean, it couldn't possibly be that when the standards are applied the same way towards you that it looks different, right?

Yeah, right.

I started looking up sources, but the best answer to all this insanity was this post here.

This is your best source for an answer?

Why is everything the fault of the jews?
Why is everything the fault of the jews?, page 2

I could further make the point that for awhile, the biggest or at least most well-known media mogul in the US was Ted Turner, who was raised Catholic/Episcopalian.

You could, but so?
My issue was was the outrageous accusation that people who remark jews overwhelmingly own/control American media are antisemtitic or anti anything else is ignorant and hateful in itself. Not to mention its a great truth-stopper.

What's the big deal with just saying OH. Hey ya, that's true?
Instead, you go to an alien conspiracy site for your best answer.
and you say its in defense of "all this insanity was this post here." Like...what?
Most of that post was the 'insanity' of criminalizing discussion or contemplation of FACT.
That's insanity. And its dangerous - for all sides. You get that, right?

IN ANY CASE. Big Biz moves so quickly the NYSE may have changed all this by the time i hit send or wiki may be out of date. But you get the idea. I don't know why I even need to do this.

And those weren't even the craziest conspiracies they threw about. Meanwhile, they had no idea how insane they looked.

I see.

The Israel Lobby
John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt

For the past several decades, and especially since the Six-Day War in 1967, the centrepiece of US Middle Eastern policy has been its relationship with Israel. The combination of unwavering support for Israel and the related effort to spread ‘democracy’ throughout the region has inflamed Arab and Islamic opinion and jeopardised not only US security but that of much of the rest of the world. This situation has no equal in American political history. Why has the US been willing to set aside its own security and that of many of its allies in order to advance the interests of another state? One might assume that the bond between the two countries was based on shared strategic interests or compelling moral imperatives, but neither explanation can account for the remarkable level of material and diplomatic support that the US provides.

Instead, the thrust of US policy in the region derives almost entirely from domestic politics, and especially the activities of the ‘Israel Lobby’. Other special-interest groups have managed to skew foreign policy, but no lobby has managed to divert it as far from what the national interest would suggest, while simultaneously convincing Americans that US interests and those of the other country – in this case, Israel – are essentially identical....

John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt · The Israel Lobby: the Israel Lobby · LRB 23 March 2006

But these men would be 'self-loathers' according to some?
Nothing veritable in what they say? Nothing to be considered? At all?

I don't know. How can we ever have any real meaningful dialogue when one side simply denies what's happening and/or threatens anyone who dares question anything?

As a Christian supporter of Israel, do you have the integrity to read the full article above, if not the whole book?
Why don't jewish voices who are saying the same things matter? Why are they labelled and demonized also?

Exactly what's the problem? What's REALLY going on here Systemdown?

And yet they had no answer for why it is the Jews still exist when they went nearly 2000 years without a homeland. Or how Israel survived the six-day war when clearly outnumbered. The mind boggles that it must have been Divine intervention. Gee, wonder why God would care about them, huh.

Jews exist because Judaism is a religion.
What do you mean no homeland?
They exist because they've had homelands. They still do.
Anywhere you hang your hat is home, isn't it?
Don't American jews own their own land and homes?
Don't they have their own schools and synagogues?
What's the problem?

Read the above book and other jewish historians on the six day war and subsequent wars.

In any case, this idea that all the people identifying as jews today are Biblical Hebrews is ridiculous.

No, what you said is true.
But I don't hold individual Catholics responsible for what their collective does - unless they are knowingly involved, or knowingly covering up. Fair?

So, if what you said about the Vatican etc is true, how is it we can have a giant conspiracy involving one religious group but not another?

This is an pointless discussion at this point anyway. I can barely continue when people intentionally play dumb.

I mean, it couldn't possibly be that when the standards are applied the same way towards you that it looks different, right?

Nothing looks different.
Apply the same standards to all and we'll be doing well.

You missed the point. Several of your links were to stuff like what Ada did awhile ago anyway and I've heard it all before. In fact, you may have repeated some of his links. But lets put it this way: You sure spend an awful lot of time looking up this stuff. Too much for me to think it's just curiosity if you see what I'm getting at. And considering how sensitive you seem to be about Catholicism, you'd be surprised at some of the links I found about the huge Catholic conspiracy controlling the world while discussing the church elsewhere. I almost posted them on another thread but stopped as I thought the sheer hate on the link might violate the rules here. Certainly, you'd call it all bunk (and it is) but then you turn around and do the same thing to Israel/Judaism. I tried to get you to see that, but it looks like I failed. I thought it might be an easy logical step to make, that if the eeeeevil Zionists who didn't have a homeland for about two thousand years could start this worldwide conspiracy, then what of the Catholic Church, that not only had a public HQ, but public legitamacy and public power to boot? Well, if you think the Catholic Church conspiracy theorists are bonkers (which they are) what about your own views on others?

This is an pointless discussion at this point anyway. I can barely continue when people intentionally play dumb.

I was thinking the same thing.

Let us not be ignorant to the fact that evil is one and the truth is one.

Anyone against the truth of Yahvah God is evil.

Not by our judgment but by the Almighty's judgement which is FINAL.

The Bible tells us they all join forces......

"unity" and "universal" is not of Yahvah God, it is man uniting in rebellion to Yahvah God's authority.

Yahvah God and Yahshua the Messiah deserve nothing less than all repent and worship them for eternity......

LOL.
What?
Of course its not just curiosity.
We have a serious problem right about now. A dozen illegal wars in the Middle East, and the US going into freefall.
Why do you care which area of study I choose?

And considering how sensitive you seem to be about Catholicism, you'd be surprised at some of the links I found about the huge Catholic conspiracy controlling the world while discussing the church elsewhere.

In what way am I sensitive about The Catholic Church?
I hold that there are people saved by the shed blood of Christ within the RCC. So?

Yes, I know about the huge conspiracy sites. You went to one for your best answer to the media thing.

I almost posted them on another thread but stopped as I thought the sheer hate on the link might violate the rules here. Certainly, you'd call it all bunk (and it is) but then you turn around and do the same thing to Israel/Judaism.

You can make a choice to simply dismiss anything I or others say and call it "hate". That's your choice.

I do not see any discussion about real issues like American foreign policy having nothing to do with American interests, rather is completely steered by the Israel Lobby.

The reason this is not discussed has been posted on this very thread - the threat and intimidation of the label of hater and antisemite. Its not working for Israel, for the jewish community or for the world. Its not helping anybody.
This is leading to disaster, yet we have already given in to the pressure to keep silent.

I tried to get you to see that, but it looks like I failed. You may think this approach is helpful now, but you're tragically mistaken.
Its time to start facing the truth.

Israel enacts law allowing authorities to detain illegal migrants for up to 3 years

Until now, migrants caught by IDF have been transferred to the Saharonim detention facility in the south; Interior Minister says migrants do not recognize that Israel 'belongs to the white man.'

By Dana Weiler-Polak | Jun.03, 2012 | 2:10 PM | 18

A law granting Israeli authorities the power to detain illegal migrants for up to three years came into effect on Sunday, in the wake of widening public controversy over the influx of African migrants who cross into Israel along its border with Egypt.

The law makes illegal migrants and asylum seekers liable to jail, without trial or deportation, if caught staying in Israel for long periods. In addition, anyone helping migrants or providing them with shelter could face prison sentences of between five and 15 years.

The law amended the Prevention of Infiltration Law of 1954, passed to prevent the entry of Palestinians as part of emergency legislation. The law is expanded to address migrant workers or asylum seekers who enter Israel without posing a threat to Israel's security.

According to the law, migrant workers already here could be jailed for the most minor offense such as spraying graffiti or stealing a bicycle - infractions for which they would not have been detained before.

So far, all migrants who have been caught by the Israel Defense Forces on the Israel-Egypt border have been transferred to the Saharonim detention facility which holds 2,000 spaces.

The facility is currently being expanded to 5,400. The Interior Ministry has reported that they are implementing the amendment and will fill up Saharonim, where they will be held until the ministry "finds other solutions."

According to the Interior Ministry, the Saharonim detention center will run out of space within a month.

All those detained go through an identification process and a medical examination. Those who file for asylum receive a temporary visa to remain in Israel. Sudanese and Eritreans, however, are not allowed to file for asylum, although they are automatically eligible for temporary shelter and a one-way ticket to Tel Aviv. Some migrants continue independently to Arad or Eilat where they often have acquaintances.

According to the ministry, up to 60,000 African migrant currently live in Israel, with 2,031 entering in the month of May alone.

Human rights organizations see the amendment as a harsh step which contradicts the United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees (CRSR). According to the Hotline for Migrant Workers, the law was "born in sin" and is a "dark moment for Israel."

"Instead of acting like all civilized countries and verifying requests for asylum and granting refugee status to those who are eligible, which Israel is obligated to do under the UN convention, the state sees mass imprisonment of thousands of people, women and children, whose only offense was seeking escape from murderous regimes, as a solution to the problem. This solution will not solve a thing as it is neither humane nor effective.

In a statement, the Israel Prison Services said that it was ready to "take in as many illegal residents as come to its facilities, with the required detainment authority and according to time of detention."

"For this purpose, several wards outside Saharonim have been converted, and we will prepare according to need," the statement added.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Israeli daily Maariv published an interview with Interior Minister Eli Yishai, in which he stated that most of the "Muslims that arrive here do not even believe that this country belongs to us, to the white man."

Ukraine’s President Yuschenko Pressures Israel On Genocide Recognition

Kiev, Ukraine
Vladimir Matveyev
JTA Wire Service

After the president of the European Jewish Congress canceled a planned trip to a ceremony in Ukraine to protest the government’s silence, Yuschenko met with Jewish leaders to assuage their concerns and affirm his government’s commitment to fighting anti-Semitism.

But Jewish leaders fear Yuschenko will link his government’s fight against anti-Semitism, neo-Nazism and Holocaust denial to Israel’s recognition of the Ukrainian famine of 1932-33 as genocide.

Israel is unlikely to recognize the Holodomor as genocide because such a declaration inevitably would harm Israel’s ties with the Kremlin, which Ukraine accuses of having orchestrated the famine to destroy Ukraine, the Soviet Union’s bread basket, as a viable political entity.

An estimated 3 to 4 million people died during the great famine, which also struck parts of Russia and Kazakhstan and resulted from Stalin’s policies of agricultural collectivization.

In Ukraine, Stalin’s campaign destroyed a significant part of the Ukrainian peasantry, virtually eliminated Ukraine’s clergy and resulted in the mass imprisonment and execution of Ukrainian intellectuals.

Yushchenko has pressed the genocide issue since taking office in 2005, and last year Ukraine’s parliament recognized the famine as genocide. More than two dozen other countries have recognized the Holodomor as genocide, but UNESCO has stopped short of that definition. Russia calls it a “tragedy” but not genocide.

Aside from Zissels and Aleksandr Feldman, a parliament member and president of the Jewish Foundation of Ukraine, most Ukrainian Jewish leaders do not support recognizing the Holodomor as genocide.

Jewish leaders say it is unfair to link the Holodomor and the Holocaust, which Yuschenko reportedly plans to do by introducing a bill in the Ukrainian parliament that would recognize both the Jews’ suffering during the Holocaust and the suffering of the Ukrainian nation in the Holodomor.

“We regret the tragedy of the Ukrainian people, but Yuschenko can’t equate the Holocaust and the tragedy of the Holodomor in Ukraine,” said Rabbi Yaakov Dov Bleich, one of Ukraine’s chief rabbis.

What is censorship a sign of?

Remember this (which you didn't address)?:

Lesley Stahl on U.S. sanctions against Iraq: We have heard that a half million children have died. I mean, that's more children than died in Hiroshima. And, you know, is the price worth it?

Secretary of State Madeleine Albright: I think this is a very hard choice, but the price--we think the price is worth it.

--60 Minutes (5/12/96)

Do you know who Madeleine Albright is? (hint: see Lenin)

I'll ask again: Do "we" think the price (1/2 million dead Iraqi children under US sanctions "is worth it"?

What is "it"?

(hint: Welcome to the Project for the New American Century)

In any case...Let's see if any of the rest of your hysteria and antichristian sentiment continues....

oh...and what gave you the idea I'm "white"?

i -was- planning on just leaving this alone...but since you recently made it clear that you plan to continue your campaign of racist slander and religious bigotry on this site...i am going to respond...

if you really love the arab and north african people then why do you endorse their continued oppression? why do you support assad's ongoing mass murder of arabs?

the united states is not mentioned in the bible...your assertion that israel plans to 'tread the united states underfoot' was silly enough...your claim that it is biblical is even more ridiculous...

i have nothing to do with any 'hasbara campaign'...this constant paranoia makes it obvious that you do not have the spirit of a sound mind...2 timothy 1:7

israel is not the beast...that is more false doctrine...and you even contradict what you claimed earlier...because something cannot be both beast and harlot at the same time...

you actually think social media exists so that israel can overthrow governments? seriously? you had better flee from this site then...internet forums are social media too...

the haaretz english language article you posted actually misquoted the israeli interior minister...his original comments were made in the hebrew language maariv newspaper...haaretz mistranslated the quotation and omitted parts from it...

here is yishai's actual statement in hebrew...

רוב האנשים שבאים הנה הם מוסלמים שחושבים שהארץ בכלל לא שייכת לנו, לאדם הלבן. כמה מהם דיברו על כך בגלוי בטלוויזיה.

in english this roughly translates to..."Most people who come here, they are Muslims who think that the land does not belong to us at all, to white people, and some of them are talking about this openly on television."

so far from making a 'white supremacist' remark...yishai was actually saying that the illegal migrants were openly racist towards light skinned 'white' israelis...

this is a perfect example of the kind of slander and distortion of the truth that israel and the jewish people are subjected to all the time...

your questions about soviet russia are just more attempts at distraction...the last serious anti semite to get banned from this site was fond of that tactic too...

i will just comment on the article about the holodomor... unfortunately genocide recognition has become politicized in many countries...especially because it is often linked to foreign relations with allies or other powerful nations... there is a similar situation with recognition of the armenian genocide...turkey doesn't want its allies to call it a genocide... and then there was the resistance in the west to referring to the rwandan genocide as an actual genocide even as 'acts of genocide' were acknowledged by western governments...an actual recognition of that genocide was taking place would have resulted in calls for intervention under the UN charter...and at this point western governments were generally reluctant to commit anything to africa...

anyway the point is that this is not evidence of any 'censorship' campaign by jews...instead it is an example of murphy's law applied to politics...anything that can be politicized will be politicized...

i didn't address the stuff about the iraq sanctions because it was yet another attempt to distract from the topic at hand which isn't going very well for you...and i will continue to ignore these distraction attempts...

oh and i never tried to guess what your ethnicity is and i really don't care either way...

LOL!

Unrepentance = persecution for Christians...hmm...what an odd religion you claim.

You may want to pay particular attention to the first two passages:

2 Corinthians 4
7But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, so that the surpassing greatness of the power will be of God and not from ourselves; 8we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing; 9persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10always carrying about in the body the dying of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. 11For we who live are constantly being delivered over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12So death works in us, but life in you.

Galatians 4
28And you brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29 But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now also.

30But what does the Scripture say?
“CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN AND HER SON,
FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE AN HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREE WOMAN.”

31So then, brethren, we are not children of a bondwoman, but of the free woman.

2 Timothy 3:12
Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

John 15
"Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.

Acts 14:22
strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said.

1 Corinthians 4:12
We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it;

Former FBI Translator: Bin Laden Worked for U.S. Right Up Until 9/11 - Washington's Blog

Arise O sleeper, and Christ will shine on you.

i suppose you think israel is responsible for the sudanese civil war...but really it was caused by disputes between the arab muslims in the north who had all the power and the african christians in the south who were marginalized by the regime... the only role israel played in the conflict was as one of many nations supplying arms to various sides of the conflict...specifically israel supplied anti tank missiles to the christians... so much for israel being anti christian...

i don't vote for war criminals...for that matter i don't go to christian forums and start threads defending war criminals like you do either...

christians are persecuted for reasons other than impenitence of course...but God -does- discipline and chastise his people for impenitence...hebrews 12:6... we are not supposed to reach the conclusion that anyone is being persecuted as chastisement for impenitence lightly...but when there is a consistent and widespread pattern of impenitence accompanied by persecution...like in the book of judges or in the christian communities of the middle east today...then it is a legitimate conclusion...

i will address the 9/11 conspiracy nonsense you posted since it is another good example of the ugly slander that israel and jews have to deal with all the time...

the myth of the five 'dancing israelis' has very little evidence to support it... what is known is that a single eyewitness saw five men from her apartment window as the world trade center towers were burning... she thought they were happy and celebrating...though she only saw them at a distance through binoculars and could have easily misread what were more likely expressions of excitement or agitation... she also thought they were speaking arabic when evidently they were speaking hebrew...so already we know that her reliability was not the greatest... it is also known that the woman had been having trouble with the moving company that the men worked for...so she may have had an ulterior motive in reporting them to the police...or at least an unfair inclination to suspect them of wrongdoing...

let's also not forget to recognize that mossad agents on a mission aren't going to be stupid enough to behave in a way that would draw attention to themselves in broad daylight on a day like 9/11 anyway...

the only real scandal here is that five foreign men were detained...and also mistreated while in custody according to statements in a lawsuit they later filed against the united states government...all based on confused testimony from a single biased witness...

the claims of the FBI translator who says bin laden worked for the united states right before 9/11 don't add up either... first of all she wasn't contracted by the FBI until -after- 9/11 anyway...so her knowledge of american policy towards al qaeda prior to 9/11 is secondhand at best... secondly her job was translating recorded conversations from before 9/11...which is how she claims to have had access to information about al qaeda's actions... now why would the united states government need anyone to translate pre 9/11 conversations about what al qaeda was up to if al qaeda was working on behalf of the united states government in the first place? it would be completely pointless... and finally she did not make these accusations about bin laden working for the united states until -years- after the FBI fired her...are we really expected to believe that it took her that long to 'remember' the most sensational stuff? apparently she got her memory back just when it seemed her career as a professional complainant wasn't going anywhere solely on the accusations she had already made...so she had to spice things up with a new round of sensational accusations...

christ already shines on me...evidently you can't tell the difference between the truth of christ and the accusations of the one who disguises himself as an angel of light...

Anti-Zionism as Anti-Semitism
Anti-Zionism as Anti-Semitism

New antisemitism
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
New antisemitism is the concept that a new form of antisemitism has developed in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, emanating simultaneously from the far-left, radical Islam, and the far-right, and tending to manifest itself as opposition to Zionism and the State of Israel. The concept generally posits that much of what purports to be criticism of Israel by various individuals and world bodies, is, in fact, tantamount to demonization, and that, together with an alleged international resurgence of attacks on Jews and Jewish symbols, and an increased acceptance of antisemitic beliefs in public discourse, such demonization represents an evolution in the appearance of antisemitic beliefs.

A new phenomenon
Irwin Cotler, Professor of Law at McGill University and a leading scholar of human rights, has identified nine sets of what he consideres to be "new anti-Semitism"[13]:
Genocidal anti-Semitism - The public calls for the destruction of Israel and the Jewish people.
Political anti-Semitism - The denial of the Jewish people's right to self-determination; The de-legitimization of Israel as a state; The attributions to Israel of all the world's evils.
Ideological anti-Semitism - The comparison between Zionism and Racism to "Nazify" Israel.
Theological anti-Semitism - The convergence of Islamic anti-Semitism and Christian "replacement" theology, drawing on classical hatred of Jews.
Cultural anti-Semitism - The mixture of attitudes, sentiments, and discourse of "fashionable" salon intellectuals.
Economic anti-Semitism - BDS movements and extra-territorial application of restrictive covenants against countries trading with Israel.
Holocaust denial
Racist terrorism against Jews
Denial to Israel of equality before the law in the international arena - The differential and discriminatory treatment for Israel in the international arena.

A political ploy to stifle criticism of Israel
Norman Finkelstein argues that organizations such as the Anti-Defamation League have brought forward charges of new antisemitism at various intervals since the 1970s, "not to fight antisemitism but rather to exploit the historical suffering of Jews in order to immunize Israel against criticism".[27] He writes that most evidence purporting to show a new antisemitism has been taken from organizations that are linked in some way to Israel, or that have "a material stake in inflating the findings of anti-Semitism," and that some antisemitic incidents reported in recent years either did not occur or were misidentified.[28] As an example of the misuse of the term "antisemitism," he cites the European Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia's 2003 report, which included displays of the Palestinian flag, support for the PLO, and the comparisons between Israel and apartheid-era South Africa in its list of antisemitic activities and beliefs.[29]

Norman Finkelstein writes that anger at what he calls "Israel's brutal occupation has undoubtedly slipped over to an animus against Jews generally," which he describes as "lamentable" but "hardly cause for wonder."[30]
He writes that what is called the new antisemitism consists of three components: (i) "exaggeration and fabrication"; (ii) "mislabeling legitimate criticism of Israeli policy"; and (iii) "the unjustified yet predictable spillover from criticism of Israel to Jews generally."[31] He argues that Israel's apologists have denied a causal relationship between Israeli policies and hostility toward Jews, since "if Israeli policies, and widespread Jewish support for them, evoke hostility toward Jews, it means that Israel and its Jewish supporters might themselves be causing anti-Semitism; and it might be doing so because Israel and its Jewish supporters are in the wrong".[32]

The Biblical Hebrews were very dark-skinned people. often mistaken for egyptians
The Bible itself provides all the evidence one needs.

You support Israel out of a spirit of fear of your PEERS.
Nothing new under the sun.

You look for the praise of men, not of Christ.

i don't know what point you were trying to make by copying and pasting a wikipedia article in response to my statement that i am not calling for legislation of silence or prison penalties against anti semites nor making threats or intimidating anyone...wikipedia doesn't write articles about me...

the bible does not specifically mention the skin color of the ancient hebrews...only a few clues are given... evidently their skin was at least darker than snowy white...since that was the color that identified an infectious skin disease... however they were light enough to be distinguished from africans by skin color as in acts 13:1...and also light enough that the dark tan of solomon's wife was viewed as an unusual skin complexion according to song of songs 1:6... but also they were dark enough that they could be contrasted with the fair skinned people described in isaiah 18...

in egyptian art the semitic peoples were depicted as lighter skinned than egyptians...the egyptians were painted with a reddish brown skin color while semitic skin colors were painted with a lighter shade of tan...

lighter skin produces more vitamin D as you get further from the equator and this resulted in better health in the days before modern medicine...so natural selection would have tended towards lighter skin colors in the jewish diaspora over many generations...and you also have interbreeding with european populations to account for...

given all of these facts...it is totally baseless to claim that modern israelis are not the descendants of the biblical israelites on the basis of their skin color...

i support israel's actions when israel does the right thing...and i unequivocally support the fundamental right of the jewish people to live in a secure and sovereign state...

fear of what others think has nothing to do with it... all i have gotten for taking this stand has been slander and hateful attacks from people like you... if fear of criticism was my motivation...i wouldn't be saying anything at all...

i say what i say because it is truth...not because anyone is making me say it...
