I'm not arguing in favor - to me there's nothing more horrifying and it's beyond shocking the cultural changes that have occurred in my lifetime..

But we DO have to have a biblical response, understanding clearly that the state/government system is completely separate from "the church".

That said, I think there's a lot we can and should do politically - I am appalled at what young people are dealing with these days trying to get an education so they can enter the workforce and attempting to raise children in such an environment.

My stepson enrolled in college and the first day, the second he hit the campus he was told he had to attend a mandatory class for new male students.

In this one day class they made mandatory he was berated as a rapist (he's actually a young Christ centered man), and told exactly how evil these people thought he was based on the fact he was a man.

He tried attending regular classes after this but it was all so crazy he left (dropped all classes) college within a week. He just couldn't stomach the constant propaganda.

Things like this are serious social issues - how can we live in such a society and what's our future here?

At the same time we aren't here creating a theological state.

When the majority was Christian society was far different - clearly Christianity is no longer the majority. And as a minority group inside this country - we have to determine the best way forward IN Christ... Not just reacting in the flesh.

The problem is good people (conservatives, normal, rational people, critical thinkers) which includes Christians withdrew from their role in society especially within academia and the liberals and far left slowly took over indoctrinating the students and now it has filtered down to elementary school.

I so feel for your stepson, it is a crazy world within education. I think the battle is lost, too many people have been indoctrinated and some are on this web site as evidence.

How western civilization will fall apart, I am not sure, it could go in a few different directions.

It is just sad when professing Christians have bought into post modern liberalism/ libertarianism//wokism.

I have no idea where the threshold is for support. I think we each have to grapple with that, how much weight we put on past bad behaviour and how much that will affect how they handle themselves in office.

I think a lot of that philandering is behind him, so not sure if we should judge the person based on past behaviour.

They are all compromised on some level, very few get to hold high office without forming alliances with sinister people and accepting dark money.

I still think when it comes to moral decay, we can be active on a local level, it may be a sinking ship but if we can slow the process and rescue some from harm it is worth it to try.

I disagree, I think we can work locally within our communities and organize. It takes a long time for change, but when I look at the pro life movement look how they have worked tirelessly to raise public awareness and there are young people in my community who have held awareness demonstrations at their schools.

The Gospel is always important, however, holding back evil is not any less significant to protect society from itself. I think the resistance movement in Germany during WWII is a good example

According to elections, just looking at blue vs red, it would seem that about half of the population agrees with the blue ideal. But we mustn't conflate the kingdom of God and the US. they are two often diametrically opposed kingdoms. In fact, democracy might be THE form of government most unlike the rule of a king.

I don't know if Jesus is close to returning or anything - but the delusion of this day is new - and very spiritual.

My husband and I are very politically active - probably our main hobby together - and we were both on a large political discussion forum back in 2010 and beyond...

It was awesome because it was very large, everyone was intelligent and the discussions were lengthy, well thought out and well written. All views were represented - right, left and center and everything in between yet back then it was all very cordial. Not like today.

At any rate after 2012 something odd occurred. It was sudden, almost seemingly overnight - everything changed.

Many people who used to argue politics on our side (conservative republican) suddenly changed their tune and started arguing from a far left point of view, and others that had always been left leaning suddenly started arguing on our side.

One guy who we had determined was mentally ill suddenly became perfectly sane (that one was completely freaky).

I wasn't immune either - during this time period when everyone was seemingly changing is also the time period I was saved.

If it hadn't happened to so many people at the same time - all this becoming whoever we were going to be - I wouldn't have noticed. But it was far too many people and the changes so extreme (like me going from being Muslim to becoming Christian is an extreme change) that no matter who you were you took notice that something very spiritual occured.

And that spiritual occurrence is the main cause of all we are seeing today. A delusion? On one side yes .. and that delusion was and still is exceedingly powerful - but He brought many others home too, like myself.

But what happened isn't normal... Not the way it happened.

Read the reference agin. Paul is telling Timothy what must happen before the Day of the Lord will come. The “soon be shaken” regards those who would say He has already come. Paul is telling Timothy to ignore them.

Well said absolutely right, we are not to embrace the lifestyles that are apposed to GOD. Yet we are chosen to be the example to those who have embraced such lifestyles.
We have compromised our foundational truths or should I say we allowed our foundational truths to be compromised.
By electing officials that alter the very meaning of we the people.
Who give voice to the special intrest groups, who give special rights to those who are opposed to Gods truths.
Our government is for and by the people. But the people that formed it stood silent as our government reinvented itself.
They took "we the people" and included all people. That is not what was penned. We allow ourselves to be ruled over by our government instead of the people that rule over government.
