Yes a moral electorate that doesn't include burning witches at the stake or throwing gay people off of rooftops. That's what happens when you have a theocratic government
Your argument doesn't follow. People who did those things were neither moral or informed.
You are accusing Christians for immoral acts which in itself is immoral. Those who perpetrated these things might say they were done in the name of God but that doesn't make it so. I recall some guy named Saul who did the same thing. Would you ascribe his behavior to Christ?

Another error you make is to assume I'm advocating for theocratic government. I'm just talking about a moral electorate who have the freedom to practice their religion without government censorship or tyranny.

Except the Puritans did burn witches at the stake.
Why do you think Catholicism spread so rapidly throughout europe, because it was literally illegal to not be Catholic

A secular government protects everyone's rights.
That's why you can't keep jews, muslims, atheist etc from holding public office.
The Constitution applies to everyone. Not just Christians
And I'm not saying all Christians are like this but there is definitely a Christian nationalist movement in America

This book is currently being handed out at Trump rallies. It claims Donald Trump is the second coming of Christ

You need to ground your thinking in the Bible.

1. The Bible says "Thou shalt not suffer [allow] a witch to live" (Exodus 22:18). The Puritans were simply following this directive, and Cotton Mather did write that witchcraft was real in New England at that time. Probably even more so now.

2. The fiery judgment on Sodom and Gomorrah for homosexuality was more terrible than anything done to gays at anytime. Sodomy was a crime in America until very recently.

A secular government protects everyone's rights.
However the currency of the United States says "In God We Trust". And to allow Muslims and Atheists to take office is to open the door to anarchy. And that is exactly what we are seeing right now.

I think you are a smart guy but it's hard to focus on a topic with you because you introduce so many things.
I think we have many fundamental differences in our core beliefs that makes agreement seem unlikely. But I truly wish you well.

The amendment clause literally says that there shall be no religious test for public office meaning you can't stop Muslims and atheist from party public office

Except many of them were most likely possibly accused of witchcraft witchcraft. All it really took was having pointy facial features or just being eccentric
Also sodomy laws are impossible to enforce unless you plan on kicking down people's doors to see what they're doing in their bedrooms which would be unconstitutional...... Also I can't think of any rational reasons to prosecute people for a consensual sex act between two at all adult's
Nothing should be a crime if you can't point to a victim

However the currency of the United States says "In God We Trust". And to allow Muslims and Atheists to take office is to open the door to anarchy. And that is exactly what we are seeing right now.
We can't reason scripture with those in their natural mind.

I apologize, reading the thread I thought this was basically a political topic, so I answered accordingly.

Gas prices where I am are currently 3.39 per gallon. I am in a very rural area of SW VA, in the mountains. That's the USA.

Yes I’m in USA too. I’m arguing that USA is blessed with abundance and I am hoping someone outside of USA would like to discuss the points i mentioned.

In God we trust wasn't on the money until the 50s and that was because paperwork inflating secularism with Communism
'"everyone I don't like is a communist"
Also you can't keep non-christians from holding public office because the Constitution literally says you can't do that

What's a bun dance? Is that like a sock hop?

I was not suggesting that. But how about a TOTAL BAN on Muslims and Atheists holding public office in America? After all the Muslim countries have a total ban on Christians holding public office or even establishing public churches. And the Communists have a total ban on allowing Christians to hold public office or establish churches.

No idea what this is. Lol
Well, you said you wanted to talk about a bun dance in America.
A sock hop was what teenagers in the 1950s called a dance party.
Wasn't sure which of my wacky lines of humor you weren't following so I explained both.
