So just saw Obama taking pics of himself with a selfy stick on the news.

Check Buzzfeed, theguardian or search obama selfy stick.

Critics say it's not very "presidential".

I have to agree. I'm not sure you'd find David Cameron doing something like that.

What is he trying to do or who's he trying to appeal to by having himself seen doing this?

He is just trying to be cool and roll with the times?

Meanwhile, Russia threatens declaring war, your army marches into Jordan, and the guy is taking selfy's.

Kinda reminds me of when Bush was being told about the 9/11 attacks while just sitting there reading a book upside down at a childrens school.

I don't even know why I'm having a pop. Politics is not my thing and I know as much about politics as I do rocket science.

Just saying, what kind of message does this send? That we should all start taking selfies on our iPhones?
 
Here we go getting ridiculous again.
All presidents are human beings and still do things that the rest of us do.
It is just plain ridiculous to expect them to be a robot and do things the rest of humankind does. Even Bush and other presidents took vacations and played golf, and other things while in wars and other conflicts.
 
Yeah I know No one is perfect. I dont even know where that came from and is out of character for me to be honest I'm just a common man like but just say what I see sometimes. I'm not saying he should act like a robot, but there's acting like a robot and doing things you don't have to do. But what do I know lol

Guess you're right tho, thats just America for you, only in America as they say. It is funny tho on the scale of it and does make for some light hearted relief compared to the most impending issues your country is facing right now. I wonder how it came about, did someone from PR suggest it perhaps or was part of a marketing ploy for Apple who know stupid media. :)
 
Americans have lacked a serious executive leader for as long as I've been alive, but I swear this current President is a part of the millennial generation. We're reaping what we have sown.

The more time he spends taking selfy's and playing golf, the less time he has to do something stupid that may put us all in danger.
I wish he would spend the rest of his time in office playing golf and taking selfy's
 
Who really cares? Not I. Please spend less time criticizing everyone and everything else. That time might be well spent praying for someone, reading your Bible, helping a neighbour shovel snow, or trimming your toe nails.

I'm guessing the tens of thousands that are likely to be collateral damage resulting from the lack of leadership the US is showing to those in the world who hate everybody but themselves.

I haven't liked Obama since day one of seeing him speak, but he took a selfie. Big frikin deal. Probably not the first, probably won't be the last. It's not affecting anything. I think people anyone seek out things to complain about.

A completely unrelated circumstance, and this analogy has nothing to compare to him taking a picture(s) of himself most likely in his private personal time. As Ugly said, seeking out things to complain about.
