It's genocide, so many poor babies being killed. It destroys me to think about it. I can't imagine how God must feel. =\

Any justification of abortion is a justification of murder.
God condemns murder.
You had best not go there.

I've seen that video before, it's really good. Based on logic and reason, not emotion. :)

God has said his wrath is upon the wicked.....
I can only pray that my sisters repent of their abortions they had simply because it wasnt convenient for them to have a baby at that time in their life. They dont know that I know btw. My mom told me before she died and made me promise to not let on that I knew. Its a whole another story as to why she told me. She loved me and wanted to level the playing field..Ill just leave it at that
I do pray for their salvation and for the sin of the abortions to be thrown out into the red sea! Abortion is not only murder to the baby but it is treacherous on the spirit of the one who aborted. Ive talked to a few moms who aborted babies but are walking with Christ now. They still cant forgive themselves although God has forgiven them. Its a very hard thing to live with although they know that their babies are with Jesus now. Abortion is horrible. I wish I had the courage to picket outside abortion clinics. I am ashamed that I dont.

Me and my wife have the same feeling. I wouldn't mind putting chains around the doors and standing in front of them.

I hope none of you get upset at me for just posting a link instead of talking about it. It's just link that I use links to underline threads that I make sometimes.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AMwkQVpy98A
I do get using links to say something. I do it too. But, if I don't know someone well, or if I think the link is going to be long, I won't click it.

So, how about a little marketing next time? Give a little bit of info about what's on the link and maybe give your favorite part. It's something like the difference between recommending a movie by simply telling the name of the movie versus telling what it was about the movie you liked.

Right off the bat I won't click your link because of the title of your post. It sounds like the link comes up with legitimate reasons why abortion is "valid." In my mind, there is only one truly valid reason for an abortion and even that one is iffy. (If the mother's life truly is in danger, but even then, it's a decision of what to do made between the mother and father. And that's one time when the decision needs to be agreed on because the father has to live a long time with whichever decision is made.)

Judging from your first two responses, I'm not the only one who assumes that about your link. But, judging from your response that you don't agree with abortion, it might not be.

Just something to consider the next time.

I recall a situation, I believe it was in this forum. A man had posted that his wife aborted a pregnancy because of pregnancy put her life at risk due to certain medical reasons. He said I took a lot of hate for their decision but they felt like they did what they had to do.

I recall a wife who had so many complications from the first pregnancy, (health problems that ultimately caused her to spend a year in a mental hospital), that joined this site because she just found out she was pregnant again. They were trying to have another baby, but once she found out she was pregnant, she was panicking. After the usual advice given on this site, she disappeared again.

Sometimes our opinions matter more than the person we're giving it to.

Great video, the guy makes some good points.

When I debate abortion, if they say it's the woman's body, I say the fetus can't be her body because it has unique human dna.

If they argue about its dependence or lack of physical capacities, I say it's a temporary dependence or lack which the parents put upon it.

I compare it to a situation in which, say, person A drives wrecklessly and puts person B in a coma. Does person A have the authority to pull the plug on person B's life support simply because there's no brain function? Especially if B is expected to recover? The dependency of a baby is a naturally temporary situation that it was put in by sexually mature human beings.

If they argue on scientific grounds, I say science does not have the authority to define humanity. For them to use science to define existential values and philosophical ideas, turns science into something like religion in a theocracy. Science can say things about humans but it cannot define 'humanity' entirely, as it is not objective about humanity.

Rights in society are basically agreements between the members -- we all desire x, we all empathize with eachother as being human, therefore we agree to cooperate and not take x from eachother. Here, x is the desire to live. We all came to this desire by becoming alive, we value our lives so we go on living them. And we empathize with others as being human -- they became human the same way we did. But the way we became human was by having human dna given to us when two rightful human beings decided to pass on their rights and create a new human being.

There are exceptions but there's really no rational reasoning against it in general. Sex is designed to make new human beings the same way a gun is designed to kill something. Arguably, sex is more powerful, because life is stronger than death, but people don't want responsibility for such a great power. It's ironic they will talk about life evolving and adapting to survive, but ask them how many years the human genitalia evolved and what its purpose was, and they will backpedal.

I like Prager, but I don't recognize the terminology "pro-choice" on the issue of abortion as he does.

Why?

I'm in favor of school vouchers, but I can't simply go around saying "I'm pro-choice" and be readily identified as a vouchers proponent.

I'm in favor of concealed weapons, but I can't go around simply saying "I'm pro-choice" and readily be identified as one who favors concealed weapons.

People are pro-choice on a variety of issues, so why is it that the phrase isn't used for any other issues except for abortion rights? Why have those who are in favor of abortion rights been allowed to hijack the phrase and thus hide the truth that they are in favor of women aborting the lives of unborn humans?

When I'm talking to people, I'm not settling for "I'm pro-choice". I want clarification.

"You're pro-choice on what?" I may ask.

If s/he says "the right to control our body", I'd agree that all men and women should have the right to control their bodies.

But that's not what "pro-choice" people mean.

The person might add clarification by adding that s/he favors the "right to terminate a pregnancy".

To which I might ask "Meaning what?".

Eventually we will get to the truth of the matter; that being that the person is in favor of abortion rights.

If a person is not pro-life, then, I say s/he is generally in favor of abortion rights. A person is either pro-life or an abortion rights advocate.

Prager also addresses the fact that abortion rights advocates have a tendency to downplay the humanity of a life in the womb. I've come to the conclusion that we ought to ask a pregnant woman, when we first address her, if she is agrees with the the decision of Roe v Wade.

From there we can proceed to ask her about her pregnancy.

If she is in favor of abortion rights, we should keep consistent with the abortion right's movement's terminology and ask "How is your blob of tissue doing?" or "How is your product of conception doing?" or "How is your pregnancy doing?"

If she is pro-life, then we can ask "How is your baby doing?".

Well I do think that there is strength in numbers. I believe that 5 or 6 need to go out at the same time and with a video cam for protection/documentation purposes.. If I could rally that many up with me and my husband,we would go. I cant even find "christians" who go out on the streets and evangelize much less put themselves in a situation which could be volatile

I think in situations like those God may not approve, but he understands. The best thing I can liken this to is being allowed to kill someone if they break in your home at night, because killing is acceptable then.
