Hi Aerials, I believe this makes a case for resurrection of the dead. Also, possibly the reference to "vast army" is in contrast to what was said prior, that Almighty would send a sword upon Israel and scatter their bones. ( in chapter 6 ?) There was a fierce battle, resulting in the scattered bones.

Getting back to the OP, it is about the resurrection of redeemed and restored Israel after the Second Coming of Christ. There will indeed a vast army of believing Jews gathered to Israel at that time.

notice this is exactly what alot of the church says about Israel today, they ar cut off. If you look, their city and temple is in ruins, they too say they are cut off. But son,in the time of jacobs trouble that will get even worse. As they will have to flee again

This is when Israel as a nation repents, when they will do, they will have as many as armies, and no longer be weak and without hope, and remember, later it says Christ himself will be king over them and all the earth as the earth will be in peace,

no one said there was a pan B for the Jews, salvation has and always will be by grace through faith, that does not change,

the context is God opening the eyes of a nation, their repentance, and they passing from death to life, (the same spiritual resurrection I received when I was born again) and because of this, the whole house of Israel which was destroyed by Assyria and eventually Rome, being restored to their land as one nation.

This prophecy was fulfilled when they returned to their land. And during those day they were great army in comparison when they were persecuted during world war 2, when they do not have an army at all..no land of their own...no hope...

They have never returned to their land, their land was and is still left desolate, And even today more people live in the USA than they do In Israel (at least last I checked) they have a pagan dome their city.

the vision Ezekiel had is directly connected to the prophecy in which God told him to prophesy the rebirth of Israel ...chapter 36..
God clearly states that Israel will be restored to her land under the leadership of "David my servant', a reference to Jesus

The dry bones is the whole house of Israel that has been scattered in to the nations and separated, but the Lord will restore Israel after they have borne their shame for He always restores Israel when they are not abiding by the truth after a certain time period.
For they will come together back in the land of Israel and God will turn them to the truth that Jesus is their Lord and Savior.
And all the tribes of Israel shall be as one nation again and not separated as 2 kingdoms anymore but all Jews will be together as one kingdom and God will cleanse them from their sins and Israel will never go astray again.

God has not cast away His people for they are still His people and will restore them.

Salvation is of the Jews and when a Gentile is saved they become a Jew inward and are part of the Commonwealth of Israel.
For the Church does not replace Israel, but Israel is the Church and God is always with them and always has some Jews that are in the truth and will restore them in the future in the truth.
From Abraham to Israel to the millennial reign of Christ to the new Jerusalem it is all about Israel and all saved people belong to Israel.

Jer 46:27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
Jer 46:28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
God will bring the whole house of Israel back to their land and leave none of them in the nations anymore, and they will know the LORD their God from that day forward and He will never hide His face from them again which means Israel will always be in the truth and never stray again.
And the heathen will know that the house of Israel went in to captivity because of their iniquity, and they transgressed against God for rejecting Christ and not accepting the truth, but God was always on their side and did not cast them off and did not forsake them.
Which God will make a full end of all Gentile nations their ruling governments but not make a full end of Israel although they will be punished in part for rejecting the truth and the kingdom on earth will be restored to the Jews, Israel.
For Israel must come to the truth for salvation is of the Jews and Israel is the Church and the covenant with them which the Gentiles can be a part of that covenant.
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

70 weeks, 490 years, are determined upon Israel to make an end of sins, and bring in everlasting righteousness, and anoint the most holy who is Jesus.
Which the time started before Jesus came for the Jews were not in the truth then for if they had been in the truth the Roman Empire would not of been able to rule over them.
69 weeks has passed with 1 more week to go, 7 years, which is the time that God causes all people who do not love Him to follow the beast kingdom and when they do and take his mark then God will end this sin business on earth, and brings Israel to the truth that Jesus is their Savior.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

Which Israel is blinded in part for they acknowledge the Old Testament for the majority but not the New, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in when salvation is no longer available to them, and so all Israel shall be saved.
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance on God's part so He is always on Israel's side and will take away their sins.

Jer 46:28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
God will bring the whole house of Israel back to their land and leave none of them in the nations anymore, and they will know the LORD their God from that day forward and He will never hide His face from them again which means Israel will always be in the truth and never stray again.
And the heathen will know that the house of Israel went in to captivity because of their iniquity, and they transgressed against God for rejecting Christ and not accepting the truth, but God was always on their side and did not cast them off and did not forsake them.
Which God will make a full end of all Gentile nations their ruling governments but not make a full end of Israel although they will be punished in part for rejecting the truth and the kingdom on earth will be restored to the Jews, Israel.
For Israel must come to the truth for salvation is of the Jews and Israel is the Church and the covenant with them which the Gentiles can be a part of that covenant.
Dan 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
