Sometimes what you see is what it is - lightning hitting a tall building with a lightning rod.

...or maybe we should consider golf cursed by God since some unfortunate folks get caught in sudden thunderstorms and struck. Is it nature or does God hate golf? Please......

It only hit the church twice. This photographer only had 2 chances to get the shot. I just find it weird.
I read somewhere that it sometimes takes more than 100 tries to get lightning photos.

I read somewhere that the person who took the photograph had to wait over two hours to get this shot. I assume that this photographer was certain that lightning would strike this building.
 
It's easy to catch lightning on a camera these days. they have special settings on them. my mate showed me and did it in front of me. The storm being present in the Vatican City would've been a perfect opportunity for a camera man to set up and wait. THE STORM BEING PRESENT IN THE VATICAN CITY also would've been the perfect opportunity for the lightning to hit a pointy metal object on top of the building. Even twice. Nothing's impossible for God people. Was it a sign from the Almighty? Extremely possible. I'll ask Him when i get there, if He accepts me up there, and i'll answer u all with 2 strikes on the harbour bridge if its a yes, and 1 strike if its a no.

Don't they just rub some oil on it or somthin and 'POOF' it's holy, and if that doesnt work repeat as necessarry until it is ? :confused:

Funny how in most instances a society's turn away from Christianity results in them having pagan impulses; acting like pagans, worshiping as pagans, thinking as pagans, murdering like pagans in ritualistic mass bloodletting, or embracing pagan symbolism.

The all-seeing eye within the triangle had a certain instructive purpose and wasn't only used by Catholics, Masons, etc. It was supposed to be instructive of God's triune nature and omniscience and used as a Christian symbol, albeit a creepy one across time and denominations. So yes, there is a pagan gloss, but the message communicated wasn't particularly insidious. Indeed, almost blunt in its status as a theological truth.

Now let's take a look at Mary in her relation to the symbol of the triune God. She is larger and dominates the center. The rays emanating from the rather alien God do not fall upon the parishioner gazing up at the mural. No, they go through Mary first. The mediatrix and redemptrix reigns, and the only way to get to her is through whichever power opens the way to her. That is the power of the very Church the onlooker is standing in...not unlike the Pagan temples and priests of old.

look really really closly....theres also an extremely thin blue line that came down with the lightning......hmmmmm
