I’ve recently started focusing more time into memorizing parts of the Bible, does anyone have suggestions for specific verses of passages that are good to carry around?

Howdy and welcome to the forum.

To answer your question, it depends on your goal.

- Inspiration?
- Fighting temptation?
- Edification?
- Something else?

Or is this basically "What are your favorite bible verses and why?"

All of them. But some of the basic standbys are:
John 3:16
Romans 3:23
Romans 6:23
Romans 5:8
Romans 8: well there's several read the whole thing and pick a few
Psalm 23
1 John 1:9
Heb 12: 1-2
Heb 13:5

There are others but that's probably a good basic starter list.

My goal is to build up a toolkit for many occasions. Verses that I’m currently working on are things like the Romans Road, and the armor of God. I suppose I’m asking if there are any verses that you have found particularly helpful in your walk for one reason or another.

All but those last three are already in my learning rotation. Thanks! I know they are all good to learn, but I can’t quite get them all at once 😅

In that case I have found Proverbs 26:20 to be an ever-present help in time of drama.

Pro 26:20 KJV Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.

Psalm 24

3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord?
And who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not lift up his soul to what is false
and does not swear deceitfully.
5 He will receive blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

These words in Psalm 24 - always make me think “woe is me!” until I continue reading....

yes: 2nd Chronicles 7:14- 'if my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves & pray & seek my face and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, then will i hear from heaven & will forgive their sin & will heal their land". Hebrews 11:6- "but WITHOUT FAITH, it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is & that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him". 1st John 3:20-22- " if our hearts condemn us, God is greater than our heart
