I suppose one good thing about people having cellphones in their cars is that many will at least call for help even when they are afraid to stop because of situations like this.

One of the most tragic things I've heard people say in this regard is how hesitant they are to help a child in need for fear of being labeled as a perv. I understand their point of view, but it's still tragic.
