The second letter in the Hebrew Bible the letter B represents a tent or dwelling. This also represents the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle in the wilderness. We then have a letter for D or the door of the tent. We can control what goes in and out of the door of the tent. We see that it is actually the son of the owner of the tent that is the "door". Jesus said: "I am the door" (John10:9) So we see a tent as a dwelling. Even though today people live in high rise apartments. But we do not continue to call their apartment a "tent".
This is why I wonder, why do we call a digital motion camera of say 30 or 60 frames per second a video? A video is a magnetic film strip that records pictures that appear to take on motion. We no longer use video as everything is recorded digital. So why do we still call it a video? Has our English become so restricted that we can not change our words to be more accurate in what they represent?
(The fastest camera actually records 10 trillion frames per second).
