I'm with you FREDDY however, the vast majority of christians today have adopted a "What's in it for me" mindset which is by contrast the complete opposite of the example Christ and the early church fathers laid out for us 2000 years ago. They would rather argue over what they believe God's word says than take it as it is and apply it to their lives!

And people wonder why you don't see the gifts in action today....
 
Amen! we gotta really pray, seek His face, fall on our knees, pour out our heart, soul, mind, spirit, thoughts, feelings, etc. to the Lord, gratned He already knows everything, unless we give and surrender it to Him and ask for help we won't get it, we must ask in order to recieve. Set an example by living it, walk the walk, don't just talk the talk!

God resist those that have self pride and self rightiousness, but draws those who take nothing for theirself but gives HIM all the thanks, praise, honor, and glory for all things said and done! I don't ask for anything, it's not about us, it's totally about HIM. We have a choice, use the gifts given or not, if we don't use them, or we use them but to boast ourselves, then God can take them away from us.

I love this thread! Thanks for posting it! God bless! Remember also that the Lord said if HIS people who are called by HIS name will humble themselves, then HE will hear from heaven, and HE will dliver HIS people, and heal HIS land, it's all HIS nothing is ours.
 
What is the point of living if you're gonna gove yourself completely to a belief. it's good to have something to believe in. but not to the point where you're on your knees day and night praying for mercy. it's not going to get you anywhere. I don't know where your certainty about Jesus coming back is coming from, but if you spend your entire life shouting it, and preparing for it, well, it's not a vary satisfying, free life is it? you don't know for certain that Jesus will come in your lifetime, so you can't keep everything on hold just for that. that's like never going outside because you don't want to get sick. it's good that you're passionate, but try and tone it down a little, and free yourself a little. god won't condemn you to hell for not following the bible to the letter.
 
You guys do know that this post is from JAN 2009. That the original poster is banned, as is responders. No one in this thread from 2009 is even on the site anymore.
