The ice knocked over 1000's of power lines.
The drifts at our place were as high as the groves. We could walk up and sit on the top of the power poles. The national guard came in to move snow and feed cattle. The corn that wasn't harvested was tassel high with snow. Sioux falls had pot holes the size of cars(the ice never melted and they couldn't get rid of it.) 1000's of jack rabbits and pheasants died in the corn fields that drifted in......This is just the stuff off the top of my head.
