There is a time in the lives of all the Fathers people when we must choose to take a stand for what we know to be right and true,not according to mans estimation of this but according to righteous judgment, as taught in the living word. Many fail to realize how serious a matter this really is, each decision we make that in the slightest degree compromises our fidelity to the author and finisher of our faith, and is opposed to the principles taught in scripture can ever so slowly and imperceptivly at first lead us off the narrow way, as some may know the further an object is from the target, the less the variance it takes to miss it.
 
The nebulous nature of that presentation leads me to wonder if you are not thinking of striving for more rigid and precise adherence to rules.

If anyone wants to walk in the light it isn't enough to be obedient outwards, first and foremost it requires a heart that is deeply filled with love for God. And I don't mean an ordinary love I mean a very special one one of deep intimacy, this is how you begin to walk in the light because once that special connection is made with you and God your heart begins to naturally imitate him
 
this is not about rules it has always been about the heart , this is about priorities and committing ones trust to the one who gives life nothing more... nothing less.

Blond has found walking in the light is very helpful as I can stumble and fall in the dark.
 
PROBERBS 2:6-7-8-9.
For the Lord gives wisdom: out of His mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

He lays up sound wisdom for the righteous: He is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.

He keeps the paths of judgment and preserves the way of His saints.

The shall you understand righteousness and judgment, and equity; yes, every good path....
 
Christians ARE those who walk in the Light. Ephesians 5:8 ...we "were formerly darkness, but now we are Light in the Lord". 1 Thessalonians 5:5... "we are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness".
