If 45 million get the flu 45 000 may die
If 45 million get this virus about 900 000 will die... mortality rate is much higher for many reasons.
With this virus if the person does get really sick they often need ventilation beyond 10 days sometimes up to 20.... that is not common with the more typical corona viruses when ventilation is needed.
Hence the need for ventilators.
45 mil getting this is quite a stretch.
if you look at the actual numbers ( not the media hype and lies), you will see a little over 500,000 have been tested, with 85, 000 infected, with 1300 deaths.
so, even if someone has symptoms ( only people with symptoms re being tested) there is a 85% chance is not the Wuhan virus, and even if it is, there is a 98% chance ( so far) that it is not fatal.
do not believe the media. check the real numbers.

Estimates are that 60 million had H1N1 in 2009 over the course of the year in USA.
The rate of infections is known .. the incubation rate is known and that why the virus poses such a problem.
Exponential growth curve of this virus far different than other viruses..... simple math.

I think the Chinese tyrannical government is very happy with their slave labour force making their products cheaply for other countries, the only people to blame for China"s problems are the people at the top .. the oppressive tyrannical authoritarian regime.
The entire world would be better off of the Cultural Revolution had never happened.
Law of supply and demand.... Chinese government very willingly put itself on the supply of the equation.

the US may be the largest trading power, but the US is also considerably larger population wise, then many other countries involved with trade.

Come on, let's put the blame where it should be. Communist China knew about this virus, they covered it up, they lied about it and they alone are responsible for this suffering. Stop shifting the blame. A doctor died trying to tell the truth about this virus. China will suffer for this, I'm sure the US will see to it.

I am not stating that the USA is the land of virtue .. however stick to the original point.
Prove that the USA caused China to industrialize, create a slave labor force and then market those goods to other countries.
China is very happy with USA and other counties having a demands for its products.
China is not innocent, nor has it been taken advantage of as you seem to imply.
