Can someone help me out here?

Why would God's signs correlate to Jewish festivals and times when it is currently the time of the Gentiles?

Do some believe that Christians are to study the Jewish events and festivals to know God's timing of world events? Weren't the Jewish events and festivals mere shadows of the reality that is now Jesus Christ?

For the Jews, it seems their ability to even see Christ corresponds to them accepting the people the Lord sends to them, not signs in heaven or the earth.

Jesus said to the Jews: "Your house is left to you desolate; 39 for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’”

Yes, we are to study these Feasts as they relate to the Lord.
Jesus said: "And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled."

Paul wrote: "I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in..."

It would seem that the full number of Gentiles has net yet come in.

From a Friends of Israel site:

Though Israel regained the land in 1948 and regained control of Jerusalem in 1967, the Times of the Gentiles continue to this day. With international government agencies like the United Nations and nations like the United States having influence over the leaders and people of Israel, it’s evident that we are still in the Times of the Gentiles.

So, we're still in the time of the Gentiles.

So, then, why should the church look for Jewish signs when they are mostly Gentiles?

Since the OT is a shadow of the reality revealed in the NT in Christ, it would seem a better task would be to show how the old Jewish feasts correlate to Christ. Perhaps then, if a Jew hears the message, he might say "You are blessed because you come in the name of the Lord!" and then see the Lord as He truly is.

Acts 20:16

Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, for he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.

Paul made a concerted interest to be in Jerusalem for Pentecost
Because, when you're tasked to preach the gospel you're sent to where the people would be amassed.

Paul even addresses this later in the same chapter:

22 “And now, compelled by the Spirit, I am going to Jerusalem, not knowing what will happen to me there. 23 I only know that in every city the Holy Spirit warns me that prison and hardships are facing me. 24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Paul was not compelled by his tradition or any tradition of man. He was compelled by the Spirit, tasked actually, to preach the good news of God's grace. This isn't an account of a Hebrew convert wanting to celebrate Hebrew things.

So, God sends His man, Paul, to the Jews on the specific day they are celebrating and reading the Law and the 10 Commandments to preach the gospel of God's grace. That's the set-up! There is no wonder Paul knew of the hardships he would face: he knew how many of the Jews would be angered by the message of the grace of God.

Indeed, Paul was beaten by the crowds and arrested on that very trip to Jerusalem!

So please, for people who are to display the wisdom of God, don't tell me they have made a particular Jewish festival (Pentecost) more significant than any other... to some how "Christianize" the day. That's a Constantine move not one of the Spirit of God.

Matthew 24:3 As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will this be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?”

This question posed by the disciples were looking for knowledge about a future sign so the righteous would have no doubt about what was coming on the world.
Spring Feasts and Christ’s First Coming
Passover
(Exodus 12): Represented Christ’s sacrificial death. Jesus was “the true paschal lamb,” and His crucifixion fulfilled this feast precisely at the Passover hour (John 19:14–18).
  • Unleavened Bread: Signified Christ’s sinless life and His time in the tomb. The "spotless Lamb of God" who died and rested in the grave on the Sabbath during the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
  • First Fruits: Typified Christ’s resurrection. Christ’s rising from the dead as the "firstfruits of them that slept" (1 Corinthians 15:20), which fulfilled this symbolic offering during the harvest.
  • Pentecost: Fulfilled in Acts 2, when the Holy Spirit was poured out. Directly correlates the outpouring of the Spirit to the Old Testament Pentecost, just as the law was given at Sinai, now the Spirit was given to seal the new covenant.

Fall Feasts and Christ’s Second Coming
Connecting the fall feasts to end-time events:
  • Feast of Trumpets: The Millerite movement (proclaiming Christ’s soon return) as a fulfillment of the “trumpet call to repentance,” preparing people for the judgment (cf. Revelation 14:6–7).
  • Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur): The antitypical Day of Atonement beginning in 1844, when Jesus entered the Most Holy Place in the heavenly sanctuary to begin the investigative judgment (Daniel 8:14; Revelation 11:19).
“As the typical service pointed to Christ as the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world, so the sanctuary service in heaven is the antitype of the earthly service. And the great Day of Atonement—prefigured in the type—has its fulfillment in the work of Christ in the heavenly sanctuary, beginning in 1844”.
  • Feast of Tabernacles: Represents the final gathering of God’s people and their dwelling with Him in heaven. The fulfillment of this feast being symbolic of the redeemed celebrating in heaven:
“The Feast of Tabernacles was not only commemorative but typical... It pointed forward to the great day of final ingathering, when the Lord of the harvest shall send forth His reapers to gather the tares together in bundles for the fire and to gather the wheat into His garner”

Overall Typology and the Plan of Redemption

The Jewish ceremonies were shadows of things to come, fulfilled in Christ's first and second advents:
“The ceremonial law was to be a perpetual reminder to the people of God of the future work of redemption... Each ceremony was a prophecy, in figure, of the Savior” “In the Jewish system the truth was veiled in symbols. The gospel is the substance”

God says "I change not " AND "Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary". Malachi 3:6-7, Psalm 77:13 ) The Sanctuary Plan IS the Gospel Plan, these past 6000+ years, and that WE are living TODAY... Christ is in the heavenly Sanctuary NOW, our High Priest, advocating for us, against Satan's accusations. Pray that our names are written in the "Book of Life" If NOT, we will burn-up, to ashes, under their feet.

It seems to me that there are no "holy days" for believers in Christ save for one: Today.

I am not opposed to celebrating particular days by tradition, but let's not make our traditional days something attune to "thus sayeth the Lord".

I say you are wrong about the Feast of Tabernacles. Has nothing to do with the parable of Wheat & Tares.

But in the Millenium the timing and fulfillment of Tabernacles is known.

Zechariah 14: 16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 17 If any of the peoples of the earth do not go up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, they will have no rain. 18 If the Egyptian people do not go up and take part, they will have no rain. The Lord[b] will bring on them the plague he inflicts on the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles. 19 This will be the punishment of Egypt and the punishment of all the nations that do not go up to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

And the lamb of God is a barn animal...?

The Jewish Feast of Tabernacles, that celebrates the prophetic word of the Messiah's return, CANNOT be the same feast celebrated in the millennium. You need to dig into the spiritual significance of the feast to understand the reality of what will be observed in that day. (Hint: the answer is in the New Testament).

Oh sheesh.

Can we have a conversation about this or not? If not, I'll let you have your shadow-traditions from the Old Testament and leave you undisturbed.

Pentecost-when Peter spoke

Acts 2: 41 So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.

Why about 3000??

Exodus 32:28

And the sons of Levi did according to the word of Moses; and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men. ( for making the golden calf.)

Law kills but the Spirit gives life---------2 Corinthians 3:6

I say you are wrong about the Feast of Tabernacles. Has nothing to do with the parable of Wheat & Tares.

There is a spiritual link between the two concepts;

1. Parable of the Wheat and the Tares — Harvest as Final Separation

The parable represents the judgment at the end of time. The wheat represents the righteous and the tares the wicked. Both are allowed to grow together in the church until the harvest—symbolizing the Second Coming.

The tares and wheat are now commingled, “Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather...the tares...to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn” Matthew 13:30

This “harvest” is also described as the end of probationary time, a solemn period where Christ’s final judgment distinguishes His faithful remnant from apostates.

2. Feast of Tabernacles — Antitypical Fulfillment at the End of the Harvest

Feast of Tabernacles is linked to the final gathering of the redeemed after the harvest.

“The Feast of Tabernacles was...commemorative and typical...It not only pointed back to the time in the wilderness but forward to the great ingathering of God's people at the close of earth’s history”

In that context, the feast symbolized the joy of the final harvest—the gathering of the righteous (the "wheat") into God's kingdom.

3. Theological Synthesis — Final Harvest and the Feast
  1. Feast of Tabernacles = Celebration of the completed harvest, pointing to the ultimate gathering of the saints at the Second Coming.
  2. Wheat and Tares Parable = The judgment process of that harvest, separating the righteous from the wicked.
Thus, the Feast of Tabernacles typifies the joy and rest of God’s people after the separation described in the parable of the wheat and tares. Both culminate in the heavenly home, where the righteous are finally gathered—“into my barn” (Matthew 13:30).

The day of Pentecost is when the Holy Spirit spoke through the Apostles declaring the wonderful works of God. Everyone that heard them speak was confounded because they heard them speaking in their own language no matter where they were from. This same Pentecostal tongue will be spoken again when God's elect are delivered up before the Antichrist, (Satan claiming to be God, II Thes 2:3-4), to testify against him with the Holy Spirit speaking through them as written in Math 10:16-20. Everyone will understand what is being said no matter what language they speak. God's elect will expose Satan as an imposter as they testify for the coming of the real Lord.

Imagine, those 10s of millions of Christian martyrs, being tortured & killed, first by the Roman Empire, then the "holy" Roman Empire Church, the Anti-Christ, from 538AD till 1798AD = 1260 years = 1260 prophetic days, (1260 / 30days = 42 prophetic months 42mo / 12 = 3 1/2 prophetic years. ( Prophetic time period in Daniel 7 and Revelation 11) = anti-Christ

I've read what some of these Christian martyrs said, in Fox's Book of Martyrs, "a polemical account of the sufferings of Protestants under the Catholic Church". You can have faith, that they were being guided by the Holy Spirit, as to what to say, during their trials and as they were being consumed by the flames, at the stake... quite a few were recorded, to be looking towards heaven, and singing praise songs, as the flames scorched their lungs. That's what I call having FAITH !! and the indwelling of Christ and His Righteousness. = Saved, and they knew it. No FEAR of Dead ^|^

I pray to have THAT Character, when it's my time. = The Righteousness of Christ ... Amen !

As you said,
when God's elect are delivered up before the Antichrist, (Satan claiming to be God, II Thes 2:3-4), to testify against him with the Holy Spirit speaking through them as written in Math 10:16-20. Everyone will understand what is being said no matter what language they speak. God's elect will expose Satan as an imposter as they testify for the coming of the real Lord.
( As various Popes have proclaimed, They are God on Earth, as they also claim to be “infallible”) = anti-Christ = 2 Thess 2:3-4
  • Matt 10:17-20 ~" But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will whip you in their synagogues; And you shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what you shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what you shall speak. For it is not you that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaks in you. "
  • Mark 13:11 ~ "But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit."

That reminds me; I NEED to be praying more and reading & knowing the Bible better, so that the Holy Spirit will have MORE to work with .. I Pray ~ Amen

The speaking of languages from all the known world is a reverse of what happen at the tower of Babel when a single language became 70
