Zelensky arrives in Saudi Arabia ahead of Ukraine-US talks
"President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 10 to meet with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, The Guardian reported.
Zelensky initially intended to visit Saudi Arabia as part of a Middle East tour in February but delayed the trip due to bilateral U.S.-Russian talks in Riyadh on Feb. 18.
The Gulf countries have traditionally played the role of mediators between Russia and Ukraine, namely in regard to prisoner exchanges.
Following Zelensky's meeting with the Saudi crown prince, the Ukrainian president's team will remain in the country on March 11 to meet U.S. delegates and discuss the framework for a potential peace agreement. Zelensky is not expected to participate in the negotiations."

US expects 'substantial progress' in peace talks with Ukraine
"Washington expects "substantial progress" to be made during talks with Ukraine this week, according to a senior US diplomat.
Intelligence sharing will be discussed and the US hopes to sign a deal on critical minerals at the talks in Saudi Arabia, Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff said on Monday.
Witkoff, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Adviser Mike Waltz are due to arrive in Jeddah for Tuesday's talks with their Ukrainian counterparts.
"We're going over there with an expectation that we're going to make substantial progress," Witkoff told Fox News. On whether a minerals deal was imminent, he said "all the signs are very, very positive".
US President Donald Trump has stepped up pressure on his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky to accept his demands for a quick ceasefire with Moscow - but without any immediate pledge of a US security guarantee."

Great picks from my point of view, they're the main two i have my eyes on at the moment but pretty sure the Panama Canal thing will soon make the Rus/Ukr game look pretty insignificant.
It's all just so much theatre with an evil purpose and will only get worse. I actually like the personality Putin presents, he is extremely intelligent and seemingly empathetic towards ordinary people. However, he does what he's told like all politicians with seeming power but many people actually trust him. They will be pretty devastated when he shows his feet of clay, betrayed hope hurts much more.

Trump has stirred the pot like no other, straight out of the gate. You don' t talk about politics now a days in public, because people have lost their marbles. For some reason, it seems safe enough on CC though.
I think Putin was part of the Russian secret service, so he might be privileged to some pretty top secret information. Yeah, I wouldn't trust any political leader, but that's just me.

You might be a pretty mature age too? i'm an old dear and had a good idea of what's going down for well over 40 years. Yes, Putin was KGB and i think he was there when the Berlin Wall fell, if i remember right, not many know what the Iron Curtain theatre was really about. It's difficult to decipher what's going on, since news is corporate sponsored, and doesn't allow for alternative views to be expressed as separate, but equal. I figure, whatever will mostly effect the vast majority in a negative way, than that's probably true. lol Distorted.
I'm starting to like WION news, it's based in India, and India is headed for prosperity, They have a very low divorce rate, 4th strongest military, and 2nd largest population.
RT and the Times of India were my main reads when it comes to mainstream press, not because they were so great but they were better than the vast majority. That's no longer true sadly.
