at this point, i don't think war has officially been declared..
Pretty sure you are correct. Maybe ZNP just wanted to undermine what I said, or make me feel foolish?!?!

Read that Trump is sending weapons to Ukraine, so any hope of peace over there, is laughable at this point.

I wasn't disputing what you said. My point is that a hundred years ago an attack like that would have received an immediate declaration of war. The world has changed dramatically so that you can fire missiles at another nation and they don't even have a declaration of war.
