This is a fundamental philosophy is conventional western wisdom, that "material things bad, spiritual things good"; that is not biblical. Jesus taught that nobody has ascended to heaven except he himself, Jn. 3:13. No servant is greater than their master, since the master went to the grave, I don't see how any servant can bypass it.

that she would be sinless. Yes she carried Jesus and was chosen by God to do so, BUT that does not mean she was perfect. Only Jesus was/is perfect, and no other human can truly be perfect. We must be "born again", repent and believe in the gospel/Jesus. Mary most likely was saved and is in heaven, but she was in no way perfect.

I didn't miss it, I think you are wrong. The verse you quoted said our faith is what overcomes and our faith is a gift so it is not us doing the overcoming, it is Christ in us that overcomes for faith comes from the word and Christ is the word.

1 John 5:4

We overcome the world when we are saved, because God sees us positionally in heaven already, with our resurrection bodies.

John 13:1-17 -- Jesus washed his disciples' feet during the Last Supper, acting as a servant to demonstrate humility and love.
He poured water into a basin, washed their feet, and dried them with a towel.

The problem with your hermeneutic is that it does not include both-and logic.
IOW, salvation is not either Christ or us overcoming but both Christ and our faith/MFW.
IOW, God initiates; sinners may cooperate--or not.

The Bible does not tell us why it was done.
It only tells us what was done.

The Bible also give us details that may indicate why it was done.

The stone was rolled away not to let Jesus out.
It was rolled to let others in, to show He was raised and gone!

I don't think so. Soul, i.e. "living being", is body activated by the spirit, Gen. 2:7. It's not a separate entity.

The Bible talks about soul and spirit as separate. If the soul and spirit are the same, why not the body? Also, what part of Adam died on the day he disobeyed God? Physically? Of course not. Soul? He could still choose, think and feel. What is left?
