It only takes one sin to lead one into destruction, just ask Adam.

It would appear to those who hold to non-OSAS that their sins don't make them lose salvation, only other people's sins have consequences. ;) :LOL:

My ears are open, but I can also read and discern truth. I know what the Scripture teaches.

What sins did Jesus NOT PAY for on the Cross?
I wonder if you even understand the completeness of the death of Christ.
It is why Jesus could day that He would lose none of all the Father gives Him. (John 6:39)

The Cross removed God's automatic rejection of fallen man.
Without the Cross covering out sins no human could even be given the opportunity to believe!

Salvation depends upon belief in Jesus Christ to be saved.
Not, abstaining from sins.
Though, God wants us to abstain after we are regenerated.

A believer who is rebellious?
And, undisciplined, refusing to enter into the new way of life?
Who keeps trying to find happiness in sins?
He will lead a miserable life while on earth... ending in the sin unto death.

But our salvation is not about abstaining from sin to become saved.
It is about believing in Christ.
We need to discern the difference.

My problem isn't with what the scriptures teach, it's this constant failing on the part of some to be corrected about what we are actually saying. No-one worth their salt, who holds to OSAS, promotes that it is ok to sin.

If you can find one comment of mine stating that we have a license to sin (or something equally abhorrent), then bring your receipts and stop with the accusations. I have constantly stood on the ground of "sin at your peril". There are dire consequences to anyone who practices consistent sinning while claiming they are saved but it is not the death that Christ died once and for all. Only the unsaved die twice, that's why the lake of fire is called the second death.

I am simply fed up with the ignorance that is pushed as if they stand on some moral highground while the reality is they stand within a quagmire of misunderstanding and misrepresentation.

If you’re in the OSAS camp, then you believe that a person of faith can NOT fall, right?

Those who are not in this camp have many verses to prove otherwise. This is one of the big differences. This is why we say it’s a false doctrine. They only understand part of His word.

Why don't you try asking what I believe instead of assuming?

It's not a matter of one never falling, it is a question of the Lord's integrity in His workmanship and fidelity in His promises.

Just as those who are in this "camp" have verses that show God's promise is greater than our unfaithfulness.

And it's this haughty attitude that you think you can tell other people what they believe better than they know themself that prevents me from continuing on with this conversation.

No, only one who is regenerated has a human spirit. That is what it means to be saved from death. We were dead in our sin. Not physically or intellectually or emotionally dead, but spiritually dead.

The unregenerate is what the scripture calls the "soulish" man.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural (psychikos) man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The Holy Spirit works with our human spirit when we are regenerated.

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God. Romans 8:16​

It does not say....

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our soul that we are children of God.​

Jesus also said that the Holy Spirit has begotten our human spirit.
​
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh, ​
and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6​

John 3:6 does not apply to the unbeliever.
The Spirit does not beget a human spirit in an unbeliever.

You don't believe, or don't understand, what the Word of God says, spiritually. All three, the Father, Word and the Holy Spirit, think the same. Why do you think that Jesus prayed " And now I AM no more in the world, but these (disciples) are in the world, and I come to Thee, Holy Father, keep through Thine own Name whom Thou hast given Me, THAT THEY MAY BE ONE, AS WE ARE ONE." John 17:11 Do you think that He was praying that His disciples be the same person? No, but that they be unified in their thinking, " For as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he, :" Proverbs 23:7. The Bible, inspired by God, the Holy Spirit, says that God,( the Word), spoke to Moses face to face " And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend,..." Exodus 33:11, not a medium. I believe what the Bible says, how about you? I pray that God would open your eyes as He did Elisha's servant eyes, so you can see beyond the letter.

Does God, who is Spirit, speak to your soul or spirit?

Romans 8 v 15-16 You did not receive a spirit of slavery that returns you to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Well you don't seem to understand the distinction between the three beings of the holy trinity. As long as the Father is not the Son and the Son not the Father, they shall not be smudged into one "Word".

I believe what 1 Jn. 4:1-3 says, how about you? By that measure, the true Christ must come in the flesh, therefore any theophany in the OT such as a glowing bush could only be God the Father speaking through a medium.
