The people saw the cloud, Moses saw God in the cloud and on the mountain, face to face.
““And when forty years had passed, an Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire in a bush, in the wilderness of Mount Sinai. “This Moses whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush.
‭‭Acts‬ ‭7‬:‭30‬, ‭35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Father is not a man, the Son is. The Son is of flesh and bone dwelling among us, the Father is an all consuming fire high above in the heavens. Technically the Son is a medium too, but unlike all the previous mediums, He's also the embodiment and the incarnation of God.
Jesus was in the beginning, and all things were made through Him. God became flesh and bone for over 30 some yrs, died, was resurrected from the dead, and is now sitting at the right hand of God the Father.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭3‬, ‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Do you really believe it literally that no one can see God face to face and live? Yes or no? If yes, then it's all medium, according to not me, but the scripture, Ex. 33:20, which YOU quoted and thrown at me.
I believe no man can see God, the Fathers', face at any time and live, it is written. But there are two others who are given that title in scripture. I believe that for these scriptures, no man can see God and live and Moses met God face to face, the only possible answer for both to be true is a Christophany, such as who was with the 3 Hebrew boys in the furnace ( Dan, 3:25), who looked like the Son of(the) God(s)? Christ, the Word, who was and is God , in preincarnate form in the old covenant. That makes sense, THE Angel of the Lord (Ex 3:2-6), He who wrestled with Jacob( Gen 32:24-30), One of the three visitors with Abram ( Gen. 18 ). These encounters were not with mediums but with God Himself. the preincarnate Christ.

Exodus 3:2 says " And" the" Angel of the Lord appeared unto him....." THE angel of the Lord is considered by many to be a Christophany, a preincarnate appearance of the Word, Christ. The second mention of Angel, in Acts, is preceded by "the" and jibes, correctly, with the Exodus account.

Then we better agree to disagree, the only possibility is THEOphany through mediums, that's the case for Abraham's and Jacob's encounters. What you called "Christophany" is a vision of the future Christ, like all other visions of him in other OT prophecies, which foreshadow his future incarnation. I refute you on the solid ground of 1 Jn. 4:1-3, real Christ must come in the flesh, i.e. incarnation, any "preincarnate Christ" is a prophecy, either in visual, audible or written form, that points to the incarnate Christ.

No, that's God the Father speaking through a medium. Again, 1 Jn. 4:1-3.

" Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love Me, he will keep My words: and My Father will love him, and MAKE OUR ABODE WITH him." John 14:23. The Father and the Son dwells in me in the Person of the Holy Spirit and has promised that He " will NEVER leave me nor forsake me" Heb. 13:5. He is not a God who is far away. THEY ARE ONE, EQUAL, what can't you understand about that? I believe you are not honoring the Son by referring Him as a medium. " That all men SHOULD HONOUR THE SON, even(just) as they HONOUR THE FATHER. he THAT HONOURETH NOT THE SON HONOURETH NOT THE FATHER which hath sent Him." John 5:23

So are you saying that a Christophany is impossible? Yes or no.

Define "Christophany" first. Is it a vision of Christ that points to his future incarnation? Yes. Is it his visit in carnal form before his incarnation? No. You're guilty of "retcon" - retroactive continuity, i.e. the act, practice, or result of changing an existing narrative by introducing new information in a later work that recontextualizes previously established events, characters, etc.

I honest believe he's the only way to God, the only legitimate middleman between man and God across the chasm of sin, which used to be the priests's job, and Christ is our high priest. Do you?

100% correct.

No one has ever seen the Father.

No one has heard the Father speak.

No one has ever known the Father.

John 3:35
The Father loves the Son and has given all things into His hand.

John 5:37
And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form.

John 14:7
If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.

John 14:9
Jesus said to him, “Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has
seen Me has seen the Father
; how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’"?

1 Corinthians 10: 1-4
For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed
through the sea; and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; and all ate the same
spiritual food; and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which
followed them; and the rock was Christ
.

If you had read carefully, I never said that Peter had the indwelling of the Holy Spirit before Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. It seems that scripture refutes what you said about some OT saints not having the indwelling of the Spirit " Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, and his people, saying, Where is He that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of His flock? where is He THAT PUT HIS HOLY SPIRIT WITHIN him? Isaiah 63:11
Sorry for the misunderstanding...

The Son is of flesh and bone dwelling among us,

A body of flesh and bone while He was on earth. Now He has a glorious spiritual body and we will get one like His in the resurrection.

1Cor.15:44-45
44It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

Philippians 3:21
who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

The Church is his body... His wife.
The Bride of Christ is awaiting having an actual body to be given... In the Resurrection.
