They are saved.

But, not saved from many evils in the world.
For that takes discerning truth to make them free.

False doctrine they too easily accept, because they passively want someone to be telling them what to think.
Rather than have someone to teach them the needed sound doctrine and the needed skills to know how to think with the Truth.

One can not be passive in spiritual warfare.
Those who fear correction wish to hide in being passive against the enemy.

grace and peace....
Complete agreement. As an observer of their traditions and "works".......It is fear, worry and guilt that is their motive.......Not the freedom and love Christ offers. On a personal level and love level for my wife's mom and dad.......It sucks to watch.

I was born a Catholic and will die a Catholic is their motto.:(

I was born a Jew and will die a Jew, was my parents.
It was like watching the Twilight Zone.

They wanted to float their lives on top of an ideal.

What is the difference between you and I acting in the sin nature and a demon?

Teach us these signs......Give us your wisdom.
For one key point, a demon has no physical nature, it is a purely spiritual entity. For another, a demon was never created in the image of God, there is nothing in a demon to redeem.

I beg to differ.

Man came second.
The Angels came first.

Angels were the first to be created in the image of God.
That is why..... They were called "sons of God.'

The scripture doesn't speak of the creation of angels so how would you know if they are not created in His image? They are spirits, Heb1:14 God is Spirit Jn.4:24 so it is more likely they were created in God's image but we are simply not told directly.

That demons are fallen angels contradicts scripture. The fallen angels are referenced three times, you can reconcile any two of those passages to make them demons, but not all three. They cannot be held in chains until the time for judgement, be released to torment humans for one thousand years prior to the final judgment and be judged by humans. all of which apply to the fallen angels and be demons. For one rather obvious point, demons have been causing trouble for over 2000 years, so were they never chained up or is the one-thousand-year time for them to torment wrong or are they something other than fallen angels?

Before they became fallen they were created as sons of God.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord,
and Satan came also among them. Job 1:6

Why did Satan fit in with the angels?
Because before he fell he had been one of them.

That passage only refers to the sons of God who had sex and reproduced with human woman in Genesis 6.

And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth,
and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters
of men that they were beautiful; and they took them women of all which they chose.

Genesis 6:1-2

Now when did Satan fall? Was it sometime after he deceived Eve, and if it was after, why did he deceive her?
Stop right there....

Too many pages are required to answer that one.

But here is one hint.
Nothing to do with Eve in the Garden.
Satan fell when he thought He could replace the Lord.

Isaiah 14:13-14

You said in your heart,
“I will ascend to the heavens;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of Mount Zaphon.
I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”

That is when Satan fell.

Demons are fallen angels whom God has denied them their ability to materialize into physical bodies.

On the other hand....

Angels when materialized can appear to be men physically.

The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting
at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day. Abraham looked up and saw three
men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent
to meet them and bowed low to the ground. Genesis 18:1-2

Two of those three "men" turned out to be two angels who later went to Sodom to deliver Lot and his family
just before God destroyed it with fire and brimstone.

The Bible lays out hints, only to be figured out within the context of their setting and other passages pointing to them.

I am so sorry, I thought you would know your scriptures. Look at 1 Corinthians 6:3; 2 Peter 2:4, which does not exclude Satan unless he is not a fallen angel, and Revelation where Satan is chained and sealed in the abyss.

But might I inquire as to where in scripture you find demons identified clearly as fallen angels? I know that Revelation refers to a third falling, but since Peter says they were chained in Tartarus pending judgment, they cannot be roaming around unless they are powerful enough to break God's chains and thus His will, and if they are that powerful who can stand against them?

And I'm sorry you would be so patronizing thinking I can read your mind. Have you seen some of the scriptures people put forward to support their views in this forum? ;)

That's two, to what is the third one you are referring?

The words angel and demon both mean messenger so it is describing their role, not their being. There is no evidence to suggest God created a third species, there is only spirits and souls.

The fallen angels locked away are referring to a specific group that fell during the days of Noah. Other angels, Satan being the origin of such rebellion, fell prior to the creation of man.

Non-denominational could mean they reject all authority but their own.
Denominational churches have a hierarchy that offers a sense of safety in numbers
of rejecting all authority but their own collective organization.

Either way… Non, or denominational... Both agree to disagree on points of sound doctrine to suite their own personal feelings on the matter.
It's not about doctrines or ideologies, the real problem with denominational churches is leftist corruption, they've had their demonic ideologies infiltrated in all major institutions, hollowing them out from the inside, mainline denominational churches are at the top of the list. They are the modern day equivalent of the Pharisees and Sadduccees.

"Born again" is not just for the Church age.

Don't you realize that when Jesus told Nicodemus that he needed to be born again?
That Jesus was speaking to a Jew?
And, that the Church with its salvation had not yet come to pass?
The Church was yet a mystery that was hidden from being known to them.

Jews who believed in the one they had come to know as the Lord God of Israel?
They were born again!

Nicodemus was a Jew. And, Jesus was telling that Jew that he needed to be born again...
Born again as a Jew!

Later on...
After the days of Moses and Israel had become a nation?
Then the Lord God of Israel took on flesh, and manifested Himself as Jesus Christ to the Jews.

OT believers were always born again!
For they were always given a human spirit to know the things of God with.

In the Church age we are to go beyond what any Jewish believer of the past could do.
Because we now have the Holy Spirit living in us!

By means of SOUND DOCTRINE we are to keep growing in knowledge of God's Word to become TRANSFORMED!
Transformed by the Spirit's power, not only to be obedient like the Jews were to do.

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth
until Christ is formed in you. Galatians 4:19

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory,
are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory,
which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." 2 Corinthians 3:18

We are not simply like saved OT born again believers!
We are a saved new creation in Christ! 2 Corinthians 5:17

If you are willing?
There is much to learn.
I'm still waiting for that scripture that proves that the OT righteous were born again. I'm trying to learn THAT. Teach me THAT through the Word, I'm willing. As exampled by Abraham, those who believed God were declared righteous but were not yet born again. Their sins had been atoned for ( covered over year to year) but their sins were not remitted( " without shedding of blood is no remission" Heb. 9:22) until Jesus ascended to His Father, placed His blood on the mercy seat, descended into the lower parts of the earth with the keys of death and hell and led captivity ( the OT righteous) captive because their sins were now remitted, and they were then born again.

Do you know what born again means?
Keep in mind.
Jesus was speaking to a Jewish religious leader, according to what Jews (not Christians only) could understand.

Tell me what you think 'born again' means to you so I could better understand what I should tell you.

The corruption was the result of losing sight of sound doctrine which produces sound ideologies.

You don't even know what it is to be born again so I'm not surprised you think all OT saints remained spiritually dead.

I have scriptures. I gave you one but you haven't bothered to challenge it.

John 3:3
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Amazing how all those OT saints were able to distinguish the kingdom of God from the kingdom of darkness and look forward to it.
John 3:8
The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Who is born, not who will be born. It is in the present tense not some future tense.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The "natural" man is the unbeliever still dead in their sin, not born again. The word translated "natural" is psychikos meaning "soulish". ie devoid of a spiritual life. We need to be born again so we have a spiritual life that enables us to discern spiritual matters otherwise it is all foolishness to us. It was not foolishness to Moses, or King David or any of the prophets etc.

Where's your scripture to back up your claims that no-one was saved or born again? All you have shown is the OT saints had to wait in Sheol (Paradise side) before they could enter the presence of God in heaven. Newsflash, they are still awaiting the Resurrection just like Peter, John, Paul and the rest of us.

You also forget that Christ is the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. OT saints were saved on the basis of a "credit account".

Revelation 13:8
All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

I think my last statement was quite accurate based on your inability to furnish any proof of your claims or even bother to address the scriptures provided.
First of all, I NEVER said that the" OT righteous remained spiritually dead" those are your words. God, who is Spirit, connects with and inspires mans spirit, not their souls, that's how even you, before you received Christ and were spiritually deadened in trespasses and sins, got to receive Him. The Holy Spirit inspired and drew your spirit to receive the things of God. He RENEWED a right spirit (that was already) within you, as David prayed. Even David knew that he had a spirit and wanted it RENEWED to be right with God. He didn't pray for God to give him a spirit. By your reckoning, God must have put a flawed spirit in him for him to request a renewed one. I can't show you a scripture about the OT righteous being saved or born again because there are none in the OT to prove that they were. The only proof of spiritual REBIRTH is found in the NT, that I know of. I won't take the trap of offence you laid out for me with your first remark, about me not knowing what it is to be born again. I'll do what scripture says " The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression." Prov. 19:11 and love you anyway, brother.

" That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation....... For whosoever shall call upon the Lord shall be saved." Rom. 10:9-10,13 That, to me, means I am born again, a personal faith in Jesus Christ. He gave His life for me and I am now, by the shedding of His blood, His purchased possession. I confessed Christ at the age of 12 yrs. and He became mine. I didn't begin the process of becoming His, although He had already purchased me, until 33 yrs. later. There are supposed to be exchanges, my sin for His righteousness, my sickness for His healing, my poverty for His prosperity, my turmoil for His peace, etc., etc. Many don't complete the exchanges or even are aware they exist. Being born again is the beginning of this walk, then by praying and reading, studying and meditating His Word and obedience to it, we grow thereby to become what He created us to be. There have been many missteps and failures on my part but His Word is true. I am His and He is mine and it's only by His grace and mercy, lovingkindness and loooong suffering with me that I stand today. I love Him, but only because He first loved me and gave Himself for me.
