Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Luk 1:46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,
Luk 1:47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Mary was not sinless.

The Immaculate Conception is a Roman Catholic dogma that the virgin Mary was preserved free from all stain of the original sin from the first moment of her conception in St. Anne's womb.

Declared in 1854 by Pope Pius IX, this doctrine signifies Mary's unique holiness, chosen by God to be the sinless vessel for Jesus.

Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

Mat 18:10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Mary had no need to be freed from original sin for babies are innocent with no sin on their record until the age of accountability.

Jesus is conceived by the Holy Spirit and there was no need for Mary to have a change distinct from anyone else.

All are sinners including Mary except Jesus.

Luk 1:15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

Mat 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

John was the only human to have the Holy Spirit from the womb but not to save him but to give him power to live right and prepare the way for Jesus.

That is why he is the greatest born among women that had a human father.

John was born greater than Mary.

Mat 12:46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
Mat 12:47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
Mat 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
Mat 12:49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
Mat 12:50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

Luk 11:27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked.
Luk 11:28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.

Jesus did not put Mary on a pedestal and did not make her out to be greater or better than any other person.

But He put her in the same boat as everyone else.

Mary had a human father and mother and was not conceived by the Spirit so she could not be sinless.

John had the Holy Spirit from the womb and is greater than Mary and he was a sinner.

So Mary could not escape that.

Rom 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

This includes all people except the man Christ Jesus.

It is obvious when the Roman Empire embraced Christianity they did not get rid of their pagan and occult ways and it became their foundation for interpreting scriptures.

The pagan religions have a female deity and the Roman Catholic has to have one too.

Which is why they say Mary is the Queen of heaven and the mother of God.
Yes, I see idolatry here, too.

I am not misunderstanding what you say. You simply fail to stick to the actual topic. We were talking about being drawn to God. Hearing the Gospel is not the drawing process, it is the destination of the journey. You had no idea where where you were being led or who was leading you until you reached the light, who is Christ, then you heard the Gospel. Until that moment you simply understood there were things that made more sense one way because it was reflected in the very nature of things around you.

Again you speak of an unregenerated spirit but fail to recognise our spirits are only given by God, no-one else. They are not created through biological generation. Flesh only gives birth to flesh. You refuse to deal with this and because you continue to ignore that our spirits are given only by God, you must logically attribute to Him either giving dead spirits or you must acknowledge that the sin nature within is greater in power than the spirit God gives and if that were the case then we are in no better a position after salvation than we were before if our spirits can be corrupted by sin. Our spirits cannot be corrupted which is why no-one is born of God (do not have a spirit) unless they believe the Gospel and being born of God (made spiritually alive) is what saves us from death. Just as being physically dead means having no body, being spiritually dead means having no spirit. It is real simple.
" For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord(Jesus) shall be saved. How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear WITHOUT A PREACHER? Rom.10:13-14. " Faith cometh by HEARING and HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD." Rom 10"17. The Word (Gospel) being preached (spiritual Words) drew ME to Christ. For ME it was the beginning (or Doorway) into the journey. Since God's Word is Spirit (John 6:63) it MUST be received spiritually, not with a carnal, fleshly mind(soul), to which it is foolishness. You conveniently ignore being born again(RE-born), RE-generated, RE-newed, etc., etc. These occurs only spiritually and you know that re, as a prefix, means again or back, repetition or returning to a previous state( as Adam before sin), restoration , redirect or direct again. Adam's spirit, because of sin, was deadened to the things of God because he was no longer led by his spirit but by his soul. Only the Word of God can separate soul and spirit, which is" sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit..." Heb. 4:12. So, yes, only God can give us a spirit but also a soul with it. I don't blame God for deadened spirits, sin is it's cause, started by Adam's choice to follow his soul instead of his spirit. Again, David wrote " Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." Psm. 51:5. This was handed down from Adams choice and is the state we all are born in, naturally. Without having a spirit, even a deadened one, we would not be able to be drawn by the preached Word of God, which is spirit.

Yes, Jesus may have been from David on both sides if God perfected Joseph's DNA. But it couldn't be Joseph's actual DNA because it was contaminated with sin.
Well, Joseph had nothing to do with fathering Jesus, He was " Child of the Holy Ghost."

My answer didn't make sense to you. That is hardly my fault.

Read the verse and try to understand what it means. Think of the parables of Jesus and the things He spoke of, ordinary, every day events. He spoke of earthly things, not spiritual things. It is not until one is born again that one understands spiritual things therefore, it is not the spiritual things God uses to draw us to Him.
So, the Word of God, which is Spirit (John 6:63) didn't draw you to Christ? Or did you just came to Him because you decided to on your own, which means that He didn't call you to Himself?

You don't understand a word of what I say. :(

It is with your mind (function of the soul) you think, not your spirit. Your spirit is needed to discern spiritual matters. Jesus spoke of earthly things that people could understand, like marriage and farming. The Holy Spirit manifests the truth to the mind so they can understand the basic truth of God existing and being benevolent, His righteousness, our sinfulness and the judgement between the two. Then, and only then, when a person has accepted these truths, are they ready to hear the Gospel for they recognise their need of a Saviour.

Romans 1:19
because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. (God exists, 1st truth)

Hebrews 11:6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (God exists and is benevolent, 1st and 2nd truth)

John 16:8
And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: (preparation for the Gospel, 3rd truth)

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. (the point of salvation and new birth)

It appears no-one has taught you or you have not sought to understand the mechanics of the drawing process and how it operates.

You say things that anyone with half a brain can see are illogical. How can you be drawn spiritually if your spirit is dead? If your mind was carnal (in nature) it would be impossible for you to ever believe for the nature of carnality is in direct opposition to the things of God. You could never think in terms of truth, your mind would be in constant revolt. Our carnality (by nature) is in the body which keeps the mind locked into carnal thinking but when grace is applied and the carnal flesh is suppressed the mind is free to think in terms of truth when it is shown truth.

I don't ignore the new birth. I ignore your understanding that it is a second spiritual birth. "RE-new", "Re-born", "Re-generated" are all your terms with only one meaning. What the scripture actually says is one must be born anothen meaning from above or from the first. It is the same word used of the curtain in the temple being torn from the top to bottom or when Luke says he is writing from the beginning.

"How can you be drawn spiritually if your spirit is dead?" You can't, that's why to receive spiritual words( the Gospel) there MUST be a spiritual receptor. " And be RENEWED in the SPIRIT of your mind." Ephesians 4:23 is not my word, it's biblical I would not be in error to refer to being born again as RE-born, with the prefix RE, meaning again, regenerated is the description given when the term born again is looked up, from many sources. The scripture says, by Jesus no less, "that you must be born again." He is, of course, not talking about the body, as Nick @ night supposed, He's not talking about your soul, He's referring to the spirit which must be "born again" or RE- born. I don't know whether it was you or Genez but I read one of you all's post that claimed he or you "knew the Bible" because of a teacher who studied 8 hours a day and taught him, or you. To claim that you or any man or organization knows the Bible is in contradiction with what the Bible says : For WE KNOW IN PART, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, THEN that which is in part shall be done away." 1 Cor.13:9-10 " For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part: but then shall I know, even as also I am known." 1 Cor. 13:12. We, as the Apostle Paul, can only know in part, some more than others, yes, but there are times when reading scripture I've read many times, a revelation from the Holy Spirit, that I didn't see before, made me realize that this is a living Word, and that we can never, before we see Jesus, claim, truthfully, the we know the Bible. A famous baseball manager once said, " It's what you learn after you THINK you know it all that counts." He was talking about baseball, but that can be applied to any area of life, even for you and/ or Genez. P.S. I understand fully what you are posting, I just don't agree. :-))

You just don't get it. You are spiritually dead during the drawing process and the second birth is a spiritual birth. First birth physical, second birth spiritual. It is not two spiritual births. The Romans 1 people were not born again when they understood God existed. God makes known what can be understood so you can be drawn to the Gospel. Christ is the Gospel where you are born anew and saved.

As far as your reference to what Genez said, was completely misunderstood and I'm not wasting more time trying to correct you on that score either.

Have a nice day. :)

You CAN'T correct me on that score because Genez posted that he knew the Bible, you know it, and I completely understand what he posted! Born again= RE-born, not two but again, afresh, anew. I told you how I got born again, how about you, did you just look at nature, the evidence that God exists, and receive Christ? Satan knows that and it does him no good. Someone has to spread the Gospel, "So then faith cometh by HEARING, and HEARING by the Word of God." Rom. 10:17. " How then shall they call on Him in Whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of Whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher.?" Rom. 10:14. A preacher preaches God's Word, which is spirit, John 6:63 and just as you can't receive an FM signal with an AM receiver, you can't receive spiritual words with a carnal, fleshly soul, it's on different frequencies, it's foolishness to the soul. I get it. How did you get saved Sawdust, if I may ask? Have a great evening or when ever you receive this :-))

Bring your receipts if you think he said that. It's easy to make claims without evidence. Cite the actual post.

As for the rest of your post, I have already explained several times it is not RE-born but born from above. I have shown you how it is used in other places, assuming you bothered to follow the links I provided and actually look at them properly.

Death is not a birth so you can not have a dead spirit at your physical birth. You have failed to explain at any time how it is possible to have a dead spirit at birth when the human spirit can only be born of God. There is no other way to receive a spirit.

I have also explained several times how Christ spoke of earthly things before one even gets to the Gospel. You don't need "spiritual words", (whatever the heck they are anyway) to be drawn to the light. The Romans 1 degenerates understood God existed, they chose to reject that truth.

You have claimed until one is born again one cannot understand spiritual things which, I agree, but then proceed to be oblivious to your own error with statements like I bolded. Unless you are a Calvinist type who thinks one is regenerated before they believe the Gospel, you have no receiver to receive the spiritual message, whether FM or AM. One can understand right and wrong, truth or error without understanding the spiritual implications and make a positive response toward the truth because of grace.

“I esteem immensely the Mother of God, the ever chaste, immaculate Virgin Mary.” Zwingli

"God has formed the soul & body of the virgin Mary full of the Holy Spirit, so that She is without all sins for She has conceived and born the Lord Jesus" Martin Luther

It is an article of faith that Mary is Mother of the Lord and still a virgin. … Christ, we Believe, came forth from a womb left perfectly intact. (Weimer’s The Works of Luther, English translation by Pelikan, Concordia, St. Louis, v. 11, pp. 319-320; v. 6. p. 510.)

Note: an article of faith is required for salvation.

John Calvin

(On the Heretic Helvidius) Helvidius displayed excessive ignorance in concluding that Mary must have had many sons, because Christ’s “brothers” are sometimes mentioned. (Harmony of Matthew, Mark and Luke, sec. 39 [Geneva, 1562], vol. 2 / From Calvin’s Commentaries, translated by William Pringle, Grand Rapids, Michigan: Eerdmans, 1949, p.215; on Matthew 13:55)

[On Matt 1:25:] The inference he [Helvidius] drew from it was, that Mary remained a virgin no longer than till her first birth, and that afterwards she had other children by her husband . . . No just and well-grounded inference can be drawn from these words . . . as to what took place after the birth of Christ. He is called “first-born”; but it is for the sole purpose of informing us that he was born of a virgin . . . What took place afterwards the historian does not inform us . . . No man will obstinately keep up the argument, except from an extreme fondness for disputation. (Pringle, ibid., vol. I, p. 107)

Under the word “brethren” the Hebrews include all cousins and other relations, whatever may be the degree of affinity. (Pringle, ibid., vol. I, p. 283 / Commentary on John, [7:3])

John Wesley

‘I believe that He [Jesus] was made man, joining the human nature with the divine in one person; being conceived by the singular operation of the Holy Ghost, and born of the blessed Virgin Mary, who, as well after as before she brought Him forth, continued a pure and unspotted virgin’ (‘Letter to a Roman Catholic’, The Works of Rev. John Wesley, vol 10, p. 81).

the entire christian church has always believed the dogmas of Mary with the exception of a few heretics, then beginning around 1800 came rogue preschers of fundementism rejecting everything accept the born again experience!

You CAN'T correct me on that score because Genez posted that he knew the Bible, you know it, and I completely understand what he posted! Born again= RE-born, not two but again, afresh, anew. I told you how I got born again,

I know the Bible?

Careful how you word that.

This is idol worship!!
what if I said that scripture requires us to worship Mary?

Is it scriptural to worship Mary?

if by worship you mean "adoration"? No!
(adoration is due to the one true God alone)

if by worship you mean "honor"?
Yes!

Christians are required to give "honor to whom honor is due"!

Rom 13:7

Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour is due.

the english word "word" has two meanings!

Adoration which is due to God alone!

and Honor due to those who are worthy!

Lk 1:45 Mary believed!
Lk 1:30 Mary "found our salvation"!

Lk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

This is idol worship!!
Marian idolatry?
Worship of Mary?

Mary is not God!
Mary is not a goddess!
Mary is not an idol!
Mary is not an object of worship!

Only God may be lawfully worshipped! (adoration)

Worship requires intent!

Worship includes;

Offering of sacrifice:
Adoration:
Propitiatory reparation:
Petition / prayer
Thanksgiving

Prayer alone is not Adoration!
Thanksgiving alone is not Adoration!
Honor is not Adoration!
Veneration is not Adoration!
Love / devotion / dedication is not Adoration!

It’s not idolatry!
Mary is not an idol or a goddess!

adoration requires intent!

we have no such intention!

We also pray God in the name of Jesus to crush all idols, and to destroy idolatry forever!

The church has always opposed idolatry! 1 Jn 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

care to try images now?

really? the so called reformers committed the sin of idolatry?

thks
Reformers?? Anybody who puts a human above God for worship is an idol worshipper, and violating one of the 10 commandments.

Show me Scripture where we are to do this?? Mary is human, she bore at least 6 other kids.

-"… Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?" So they were offended at Him."

what if I said that scripture requires us to worship Mary?
Please specify Scripture?

Is it scriptural to worship Mary?
NO
if by worship you mean "adoration"? No!
(adoration is due to the one true God alone)

if by worship you mean "honor"?
Yes!

Christians are required to give "honor to whom honor is due"!
Worship doesn’t even enter the picture!

Rom 13:7

Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour is due.
In context, this is talking about Government:

“For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭13‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

(Gov. authorities)

the english word "word" has two meanings!

Adoration which is due to God alone!

and Honor due to those who are worthy!
Yes, like Government authorities..

Lk 1:45 Mary believed!
So?
Lk 1:30 Mary "found our salvation"!
You are giving her God like qualities! Not ok, of which she had none.

Lk 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

thks
Yes, she was blessed for God to have chosen her. End of story!

We were never told to raise her up on a pedestal to worship her, like the heathen do, or to pray to her. This is idolatry!!
