Was Moses meek?

The definition of meek:

`anaw -- pronounced: aw-nawv' or (by intermixture with 6041) Aanayw aw-nawv'

from 6031; depressed (figuratively), in mind (gentle) or circumstances (needy, especially saintly): KJV -- humble, lowly, meek, poor. Compare 6041.

Numbers 12:3 *(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

The reason I post this is people commonly think meek is weak or not bold. Another definition that should be added in my opinion but isn't there is: steerable (by God). I was thinking of the word meek and it's meaning and considered meek is it towards God or meek towards man or both? Moses did what God wanted him to do he didn't let others boss him around at all, Jesus didn't either.

I would like some thoughts on this word meek.
 
I have heard meek as power held in check. I tend to think it having no pride. God once said of Moses that he was humble above all men. Somuch so that God spoke to him mouth to mouth. None of these attributes were present in Moses until he saw God in the burning bush. Grace does this to a person.

As I always do, I sought the Spirit about this, and have received a better picture for meek. Just try it on for size. A total lack of regard for oneself, no pride or sense of self worth. I believe it is a good indicator of someone having meet God, in person. Something like that will change a person drastically, and forever. Many of us must wait for that day, but some are chosen to follow the hard road.

As someone said in another thread, connotation versus denotation.

Yes, Moses was meek and God loved him very much because of that. Of all the prophets, Kings, etc. I believe Moses (Jesus doesn't really count) was the only one that God showed His back and spoke to him "face to face" in the manner that He did.
 
Moses got into a fight with some egyptian and killed him, doesn't sound very mild mannered or weak to me.
