Was Satan defeated by JESUS!!!!!!

Is satan really defeated? If so why is there so much of his workings in the world? Why does it look as though the people of God are losing the battle daily to sin AND the powers of darkness? Was he not defeated on Calvary's cross?

The Lords timing.. he is the god.. small g of the world... When Gods ready he will be in the lake of fire.
