Galatians 2:16-21
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

I am dead to the law. So that I might live unto God.

If I go back to working at the law, I build those things that are destroyed and I become a transgressor, again...

Living unto God is really good. That is when fruit is grown in us. This fruit, Gods Work, is what keeps His Statutes.

Romans 9:29-33

[SUP]29 [/SUP]And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha.
[SUP]30 [/SUP]What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;
[SUP]33 [/SUP]As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Wherefore, John832?

Romans 14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

So, someone overcomes sin for you?

Tell me how you apply this to the other nine Commandments?

So, someone overcomes sin for you?

Yes. Sort of. I have come to Christ and He does His work in me. But I don't have perfect Faith all the time. Sometimes I find myself walking in the flesh. Sometimes I 'check' my righteousness against the law written on stone to see how good I am.

John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Tell me how you apply this to the other nine Commandments?

If I attempt to apply Gods work in me to His Commandments I fall from grace. I know, by faith, that His Grace is sufficient for me.

I trust in Him and in the fruit that He grows in my life. What I don't trust is my work at the law. Dirty rags before God.

Oh, OK, so you don't strive against sin?

Oh, OK, so you don't strive against sin?

Sometimes I do. But it is much better to Rest in the Finished work of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He has striven against Sin much better than I do.

Isn't that what our 7th day tutor was trying to teach us?

Uh, so resting in Christ means working on the seventh day Sabbath?

if it is seen as a tutor, so it still is and works effectively IF YOU LEARNED FROM THE TUTOR TO KEEP THE 7th DAY HOLY.
if you didn't learn,
then God's Word wasn't your tutor and you did not learn the lesson he gave for his children.

just like the "tutor" -- do not kill and do not steal. did you learn to not kill and to not steal? or do you disobey the "tutor" and go ahead and continue to kill and steal (and destroy). ?

The tutor do not kill wasn't trying to teach you do not kill. The tutor do not kill was trying to teach you to love.

The tutor rest on saturdays was trying to teach you to rest in the provision and Grace of God.

Resting on saturdays is not spiritual. Not killing people is not spiritual. Resting in Christ is Spiritual. Love is Spiritual.

The 7th day Sabbath is a reconnection/cleansing/re-centering of all things of the Most High in each individual that honors it.

Its training to do His will.....

looking forward to the 1,000 yr reign.

I must admit I find this interesting reading what people say about the Sabbath.

I am confused about some things though.

How is it that by obeying God I am a legalist?

how is it that by resting one day a week, on the Day He made is it works?

I mean He made it, He gave it, He blessed it, He Worked up to it, He made it holy, He set it apart. Yet If I rest in what He did then I am in works?

yet on the other hand, You Made Sunday a Sabbath, It is not blessed by Him, It is not set apart as Holy by Him. It is not a representation in the bible of His finished work. Yet your the one walking by faith.

lets be real here, if it is works to keep the 7th day holy as God said, then it is works to keep any day Holy as a Sabbath.

but if it is not works to keep any Day Holy then the least works would be to keep the one God gave to man and not one man decided.

Seriously examine what you are saying.

Tell me when Israel kept the Sabbath, (they did not always obey) where they in works?

scrap that last post of mine I am more interested in the answers to the one above. my second last one. or now after this one my 3rd last one. or easier still number 771

Obey that command is Him sanctifying you, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken it!

Ezekiel 20:12, "Moreover, I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a *sign between Me and them, that they might know that I am Yahweh Who sanctifies them."

*Sign is Word #226, Hebrew Dictionary, Strong's Exhaustive Concordance, meaning mark, token, sign, consent, flag, evidence of consent.

there are some who sanctify themselves, I assume since they are described as "eating swine flesh" that they follow the false preachers and reject what the Creator has spoken;

Isayah 66:17, "They who sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens, following after the "priest in the midst" of those who eat swine's flesh, that which is offered to gods and the rodent--will be consumed together: says Yahweh."

The Hebrew text renders this phrase: following the one in the center, rather than: one behind the other, as in the King James version. This ONE in the center is an idolatrous PRIEST or PREACHER. A Hebrew and Chaldee Lexicon to the Old Testament by Julius Furst, Page 1463.

......

hasatan says so, that's how. so you can chose to listen to hasatan if you want to renounce your faith in yahshua,

or you can continue to listen to the father in heaven, and remain pleasing to him by believing him and doing joyfully and willingly

all that he says to do, all the time, every day and all night, all the time. (and his word is life - what he tells us to do IS NOT BURDENSOME--- but means we ARE HIS SONS (which, btw, i LOVE BEING ! ) )

those who listen to hasatan, dishonor yahweh. he is not so happy with them..... they are in grave danger of hellfire ....

after all, yahweh sent his son, to be humiliated, to suffer greatly, to be crucified and to die - even in the hope that those

who are still slaves of hasatan, will turn and stop being slaves of hasatan, and become slaves of yahshua instead, AND LIVE!

of course, no one could get his son to die for them, no matter what they ever did or could ever do.

so , it is all sheer grace , as yahweh choses only a few to honor with life, and they in turn honor yahweh with their lives,
obeying faithfully even unto death, no matter what.

hasatan. or yahweh. many followers. or few followers. pleasure seekers. or those willing to carry the death of

yahshua around in their bodies, to die daily to self, to suffer painful persecution for their faith. (not too many, eh!?)

ALL the law is fulfilled in one word...Love! No need for all this strife and debate about the law...Christ made it simple :)

Ever notice that NO ONE argues that the sixth Commandment has been abolished?

ever notice that most people on earth called 'christian' today, most of 'christendom' breaks the sixth commandment, and the rest of the commandments too - even "have no other gods" and "have no idols" , even though they have not been abolished !?!?

i thought you said the law was abolished.

nonetheless, why don't you love jesus then ? and why don't you love yahweh the creator ?

sabbathearlychurch

i guess there's a lot of heretics posting (going along with heresy from and by and of hasatan through rcc abomination catholics).

the roman abomination admits very freely that they changed the sabbath on their own, without scripture and without God's approval.

so, they are demonically right, when they say that others who go along with them are 'under their control' in this.

Socrates [439 AD] --: "For although almost all churches throughout the world celebrate the sacred mysteries on the Sabbath of every week, yet the Christians of Alexandria and at Rome, on account of some ancient tradition, have ceased to do this. The Egyptians in the neighborhood of Alexandria, and the inhabitants of Thebais, hold their religious assemblies on the Sabbath, but do not participate of the mysteries in the manner usual among Christians in general: for after having eaten and satisfied themselves with food of all kinds, in the evening making their offerings they partake of the mysteries." (Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers. Second Series, Vol. 2, p. 132.)

Sozomen [460 A.D.] – "The people of Constantinople, and almost everywhere, assemble together on the Sabbath, as well as on the first day of the week, which custom is never observed at Rome or at Alexandria. There are several cities and villages in Egypt where, contrary to the usage established elsewhere, the people meet together on Sabbath evenings, and, although they have dined previously, partake of the mysteries." (Ecc. History, Book 7, chap. 19. Nicene and Post-Nicene Fathers. Second Series, Vol. 2, p. 390.)

*NOTE: The testimonies of Socrates and Sozomen are very important because these men lived in the fifth century, and had access to all the existing material, and yet they bear testimony to the fact that it was the almost universal custom of the church at that time to assemble on the Sabbath.

but if it is not works to keep any Day Holy then the least works would be to keep the one God gave to man and not one man decided.

Seriously examine what you are saying.

The carnal man looks at the 10 commandments and says in his heart, I didn't kill anyone today, I kept the commandment, I am obeying God and I'm pleasing to Him.

The spiritual man looks at the 10 commandments and realizes he didn't love everyone the way the Lord Jesus Christ would have loved them. The spiritual man sees that he didn't keep the commandment. The spiritual man sees that he won't be pleasing to God based on his own work at the law.

The carnal man looks at the 7th day sabbath and does no work on that day. Yay, I kept the sabbath.

The spiritual man looks at the 7th day sabbath and sees a command to rest in the provision and grace of God for all time, not just saturdays. And the spiritual man realizes he can't do that one perfectly, either. Because he doesn't have perfect faith all the time. He doesn't walk in the spirit perfectly. And for that he asks forgiveness.

Whenever you look at the 10 commandments and you see a way that you can perform it by your carnal understanding and flesh, that is works.

If you look at the 10 commandments and see that you can't perform them except by the strength of the Lord Jesus Christ, you just might be on the narrow path.

Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

We want to obey the 10 commandments. We want to fulfill it by our own will and strength. Its just not fulfilled by the flesh.

Romans 9:31-32
[SUP]31 [/SUP]But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness.
[SUP]32 [/SUP]Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone;

If you find yourself thinking that the Jewish way is much more righteous than the 'gentile' way its likely you are missing out on something important.
