To say the Sabbath was abolished is to call the Messiah a liar.
He clearly points out the Sabbath is to be kept even in the end times, and if you look elsewhere, it is also kept in the NEW heavens and new earth.

His words;
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the set-apart place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:
Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day:
Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
To say the Lord fulfilled part of the law and left part unfulfilled ..is to call him that.....God forbid I should even repeat your words...you should be ashamed to even use those words!

You really want to stick to that story?

Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

When did this happen?

Mat 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,

how about this?

Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.
Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
Rev 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
Rev 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Is Satan bound?

Rev 20:1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.

And the Millennium is over?

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

And there are no seas?

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

And the Father has brought New Jerusalem to the earth and is living with man?

Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

Please show us where all these things occurred. If you can, I will gladly change my position and believe that every jot and tittle is gone.
Yes that's what He said and that's what He means....not one jot or tittle could pass away until it was all fulfilled ...so either He fulfilled it all or none of it? which is it?

Ga 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

Ga 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

He fulfills them through us by having us walk in love, because love will want to do no wrong to others, cause one to sin day in and day out, and will lead us in obedience to Him.

So then we just need to keep His Commandment to love? I can agree with that! :)

So, please show me His return, Satan's incarceration, the Millennium, the New Heavens and New Earth and New Jerusalem.

C'mon, produce the goods.

Not sure where your getting the idea that He must return or satans incarnation...ellen g white? lol

but I can show the scripture that says a true believer can see the New Creation and the old has passed away.

2Co 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Ro 10:4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

If all is fulfilled, show me the fulfillments. If all is fulfilled then I will concede that the Law is passed away. Until then...

Mat 5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

Luk 16:17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Show me where heaven and earth have passed away, where ALL is fulfilled.

nice verse shall we add some context to it?

Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

notice the words, shadow of "things to come"

Now aside from the Fact that there are different Sabbaths in the law. lets address the one you are inferring and then ask a simple question:

here is the Sabbath of the commandment:

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exo 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exo 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:

and why was it given:

Exo 20:11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Now that simple question, Does the Sabbath point forward or backwards?

Yes you guessed it, the very words point backwards to:

Gen 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
Gen 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

So there we have it according to the law, the 7th day Sabbath points back to creation not forward to Christ.

And If you knew the law which Ill leave you to study yourself you would also know that there are other Sabbaths outside of the 7th day Sabbath that do indeed point to Christ and the rest that comes through His sacrifice.

So thank you for illustrating my point so clearly. As I said its easy to twist the scripture when one does not understand the law.

This response shows an appalling lack of understanding of prophecy. The 1000 year reign is a Sabbath rest. We go into the end times when the 6th day is over, and the new Millennium begins.

Because this person has already done the work: Everlasting Gospel: Sabbath in Heaven

"Those who disregard the Sabbath will not enter through the gates
Nehemiah 13: 18,19 “yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath. And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut

It says that there were people who came to the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day and they shut the gates of Jerusalem becasue no one who disregarded the Sabbath would enter in. That is a foreshadow of the kingdom of heaven.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Those who refuse to Sabbath now will not be able to Sabbath then!

Finally, the third angel message says this :

Revelation 14:11 and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Why don’t they have rest? Because they have refused to rest in Christ. They refused to rest in his commandment and now they will never have rest. "

This shows we are to keep the Sabbath in the Kingdom AFTER Messiah returns: Isa 66:23 “And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares יהוה.
Isa 66:24 “And they shall go forth and look upon the corpses of the men who have transgressed against Me1. For their worm shall not die, and their fire not be quenched. And they shall be repulsive to all flesh!”

So, according to you, Sabbath ended on the cross? Not so, friend. I will be joining my King on the Sabbath, and learning the Torah at his feet.

Those who keep the Sabbath will be honored in the Kingdom, including the Goyim: Isa 56:1 Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed.
Isa 56:2 “Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil.
Isa 56:3 “And let not the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ ”
Isa 56:4 For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and hold fast to My covenant: Isa 56:5 to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off.
Isa 56:6 “Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant –
Isa 56:7 them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their slaughterings are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

The Shabbat is mentioned 172 times in the Bible, purposefully. The first day is mentioned 2-3 times, incidentally.

Either it's an everlasting covenant, or it's a lie. Does your god lie? Mine doesn't.

You must be misunderstanding his post because he does keep the sabbath of the Lord and teaches it should be kept.

To say the Lord fulfilled part of the law and left part unfulfilled ..is to call him that.....God forbid I should even repeat your words...you should be ashamed to even use those words!

That's a ridiculous statement, and a straw man argument. Stop it.

He fulfilled the law every day of his life, and he's coming back to fulfill it some more. If his work was done, he would be here and not have to come back. :/ Fulfilling the law did not mean he made it go away. It meant he did it every day.

Fulfilling | Define Fulfilling at Dictionary.com

verb (used with object) 1. to carry out, or bring to realization, as a prophecy or promise.

2.to perform or do, as duty; obey or follow, as commands.

3.to satisfy (requirements, obligations, etc.): a book that fulfills a long-felt need.

4. to bring to an end; finish or complete, as a period of time: He felt that life was over when one had fulfilled his threescore years and ten.

5. to develop the full potential of (usually used reflexively): She realized that she could never fulfill herself in such work.

Of all of these definitions, one of them has to do with ending something. When one has a full understanding of the Torah and the legal meaning of the word covenant, one understands that God's law cannot be done away with (gravity is still in effect, after all) and that his law is forever, so Messiah could NOT have been coming to END the law.

Why are you being a stiff-necked ba'al chaser? Are you afraid to humble yourself before your king and admit that you might be wrong? Your ridiculous statement reveals your lack of understanding of the OT and the meaning of the words in them.

Understand, when you argue against the Torah, you don't argue against me, or other believers. You argue against the very words out of your gods mouth. If you don't believe what he says, why do you call him your god?

He fulfills them through us by having us walk in love, because love will want to do no wrong to others, cause one to sin day in and day out, and will lead us in obedience to Him.

(6) And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

John 14:15 KJV
(15) If ye love me, keep my commandments.

I think you might be lacking the context of my statement.

I was arguing against the notion that Colossians says that the Sabbath was done away with at the cross.

What Jesus said in this verse is also found within the ten commandments which Christ gave.

Do you strive to obey each and every literal command of Christ?

It would be polite to answer my question, if you wish you wish to respond to the post

Do you really think a follower of Christ would do anything less than want to be obedient to Him?

Luke 7:47 KJV
(47) Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

I see it is difficult for you to actually answer the question. I have been to church for over 35 years. I have never met any Christian of any church denomination who has striven to obey all of the literal commands of Christ, but I have met many Christians who quote John 14:15
I have found, that those who quote the literal letter for obedience, cannot in their own lives practise what they preach. I feel so much for those who are sincere of heart and trusting. For when people quote the literal letter of obedience to them, they will in all innocence believe the people who do so practice what they preach, then they become crushed, believing they cannot be a true or proper Christian as they cannot live up to what others are preaching to them must be done

For myself, I believe obedience, to live as God requires us to live is placed on our heart and mind at the point of conversion, we do not need to read the literal letter of commandments to know how God wants us to conduct our lives

I am glad that you have been in church 35 years. I have been in church about the same length of time. I can see it is difficult for you to understand my answer. Maybe you are wanting me to answer in a certain way so you can attack? Are we to be obedient the answer is yes, that is all through the Bible. For what purpose are we to be obedient? Because we love God. It is even mentioned in the ten commandments in Exodus. Anything other than being obedient out of love is wrong. Israel tried to be obedient in their own strength and failed every time.

For myself, I believe obedience, to live as God requires us to live is placed on our heart and mind at the point of conversion, we do not need to read the literal letter of commandments to know how God wants us to conduct our lives

So if you don't read the Bible how will you know what is required? The Bible is a literal letter.
