Washing one another's feet

Today, servant humility is a by gone relic lost in the dust bin of history. Men clamoring for the top rung in the ecclesiastical battle for cleric hiearchy. Jesus set the example and tone for spiritual leadership by washing feet. Simple service to others without hungering for acclaim and pats on the back let alone money.

Today the example set for leadership by men is exalted titles, battling upwards into exalted positions, and claiming control and authority over others that God did NOT give them.

Well guess what? I just got somebody mad at me again. Boo hoo! :rolleyes: See: True Leadership.

People do get mad and it is not just at you. :)
 
It means the same as back then. Serve one another. That does not always mean to wash other's feet, but I've served other people in that way and in other ways.

So what do you think this means for us today? ( well the same things as then exept for the actual washing of feet)

It is an example of humility - humbling ourselves to one another.
I see very little of it in myself and others.
I hear a lot of big talk, but that means nothing because faith without the good works He gives us to do is dead.
We can teven' humble ourselves over the internet or in rush hour traffic.
